I don't like pitchers who walk hitters. It puts pressure on your defense. The less walks you have, the better your chances of getting through innings. More walks lead to overworking your bullpen, sometimes just by having to get somebody up, just in case. ~ Kevin Towers
Overworking quotes by Kevin Towers
We have to feed our loved ones, but at what cost. A dead man or woman can't feed the living. ~ James Jean-Pierre
Overworking quotes by James Jean-Pierre
This was our house. Mine and hers. I know she'd sneak over to the rectory every once in a while and let you wail on her for a night. But I got her the rest of the time. I cooked her breakfast. I answered her fan mail. I put her to bed when she fell asleep at her desk writing. I rubbed her back when she was sore from overworking herself. And when she got all wrought up over you, it was me she cried on. No, she and I never had sex. That's true. But we had love, real love that didn't take anything out of us, that didn't bruise us or break us. I loved her without hurting her. You asked me if I, a virgin, could teach her what sex should be? No, course not. Hell no. But at least I can teach her what love should be like. And she knows it too. ~ Tiffany Reisz

O Lord saves us from overworking!
Grant us grace to rest awhile. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Overworking quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
The only effect that I ever noticed from smoking marijuana was a sort of mild sedative, a release of tension when I was overworking. It never made me boisterous of quarrelsome. If anything, it calmed me and reduced my activity. ~ Robert Mitchum
Overworking quotes by Robert Mitchum
For one day, or for one day for a week, refrain from something you habitually do to run away, to escape. Pick something concrete, such as overeating or excessive sleeping or overworking or spending too much time texting or checking e-mails. Make a commitment to yourself to gently and compassionately work with refraining from this habit for this one day. Really commit to it. Do this with the intention that it will put you in touch with the underlying anxiety or uncertainty that you've been avoiding. Do it and see what you discover. ~ Pema Chodron
Overworking quotes by Pema Chodron
Overworking is the Black Plague of the 21st Century. Leave the office on time by using the time you have effectively. An executive at a Fortune 100 told me that to him, if you stay at work late, that means 'you're slow. ~ Richie Norton
Overworking quotes by Richie Norton
Overworking leads to exhaustion. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Overworking quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
There are no guarantees that if we keep the Sabbath we will be successful. But honouring the Sabbath (and not overworking the other six days) will give us an opportunity to grow in our trust of God and experience his faithfulness. If we take time to honour the Sabbath we may actually find that we are less productive than we were before ... God's provision for us as we honour his rhythms may be the grace to accept being passed over for a promotion, while gaining a greater sense of fulfillment as we do our work more aware of God, ourselves, and the people around us. ~ Ken Shigematsu
Overworking quotes by Ken Shigematsu
We think we can escape down half-deserted streets but all the things we use to defend ourselves - overworking, over-drinking, over-eating, under-eating, smoking etc, - are all well-worn pathways. The really frightening thing about the abyss is not that it exists, but that there is always a road in, and we take it. ~ Anna Raverat
Overworking quotes by Anna Raverat
Do not waste your life over working. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Overworking quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Do not waste your life over working. Live a fuller sacred life. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita

Weekly Check-Ins

Instead of focusing on your anxiety all the time, try scheduling a weekly check-in session with yourself. Clients who have been coming to sessions weekly often just put that same day and time aside. Instead of meeting with me, they meet with themselves. You can do the same.
Pick a time and place that will work for you to do your weekly check-in. Start a notebook (or use the note-taking app on your phone) in which you can record things you might want to address during your weekly check-in. When it comes time for your check-in, use the list as your agenda. If you have lots of issues that come up during the week and end up with a long agenda, just pick the one or two that seem most important to work through.
This process will allow you to take some time to focus on any anxiety-driven issues that occurred during the week that you didn't get a chance to deal with as they happened or where you tried something but it didn't seem to do the trick. Remember to include behavioral traps, like overworking or avoidance coping, if these have occurred during the week.
For each issue, go back to what seems like the most relevant chapter and try a solution from that chapter. For example, if you noticed yourself ruminating about a problem but didn't take problem-solving action (meaning you didn't move from thinking about the problem to taking a behavioral action), you might try defining your problem, generating a list of your best three to six options ~ Alice Boyes
Overworking quotes by Alice Boyes
Many people say they are so happy to be doing what they do and they love it. But there's a difference between loving your job and living only for your job. And I think people always will say I am overworking and I am over-exposed and that's what I want is all the attention. That's not. What I love is the art of it all. ~ Miley Cyrus
Overworking quotes by Miley Cyrus
Whether it's overeating or it's overworking or over-sex or whatever it is, alcoholism, drug addition, we push ourselves to the brink and then pull back because it's kind of exciting. ~ Anthony Hopkins
