You are pure awareness at center, human in appearance. ~ Robin Craig Clark
Nonduality quotes by Robin Craig Clark
Broken people have an irresistible urge to try to 'fix' the world. ~ Mokokoma Mokhonoana
Nonduality quotes by Mokokoma Mokhonoana
In reality there is no such thing as someone being able to "stay permanently" in the Self. No one has ever done it: the Buddha couldn't do it, neither could Christ do it. Rather, the Self has been recognized as what we are, and it is effortlessly and timelessly perfect, always. In truth, there is no actual "in and out" of the Self, no fluctuation - for these are seen to arise within the immutable awareness. ~ Mooji
Nonduality quotes by Mooji
All the philosophical theories that exist have been created by the mistaken dualistic minds of human beings. In the realm of philosophy, that which today is considered true, may tomorrow be proved to be false. No one can guarantee a philosophy's validity. Because of this, any intellectual way of seeing whatever is always partial and relative. The fact is that there is no truth to seek or to confirm logically; rather what one needs to do is to discover just how much the mind continually limits itself in a condition of dualism.

Dualism is the real root of our suffering and of all our conflicts. All our concepts and beliefs, no matter how profound they may seem, are like nets which trap us in dualism. When we discover our limits we have to try to overcome them, untying ourselves from whatever type of religious, political or social conviction may condition us. We have to abandon such concepts as 'enlightenment', 'the nature of the mind', and so on, until we are no longer satisfied by a merely intellectual knowledge, and until we no longer neglect to integrate our knowledge with our actual existence. ~ Namkhai Norbu
Nonduality quotes by Namkhai Norbu
Thoughts, by their nature, come and go endlessly in you. But you are not the thought; you are the one seeing the thought, so any thought of who you are cannot be the truth of who you are. ~ Enza Vita
Nonduality quotes by Enza Vita
Non-duality has been the root of all religious movements on this planet. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
But when you live in beauty and look from beauty, everything points in different ways to your wholeness. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Habit has two parts, Toni [Packer] says. There is the habit itself (finger biting, smoking, drinking, whatever), and there is the observer who wants to stop, who is also a habit. And there is the conflict, the battle between the desire to indulge, which is an escape from what is, and the desire to stop, which is also a movement away from what is. ~ Joan Tollifson
Nonduality quotes by Joan Tollifson
When you go deep inside nothing is all there is. There is no 'I am'. The 'I am' merges in the Absolute. ~ Nisargadatta Maharaj
Nonduality quotes by Nisargadatta Maharaj
We are all born to fly. Instead, we sit on the branches afraid of the leap into the unknown. But the unknown is where enlightenment lives. Our true nature is the unknown. ~ Enza Vita
Nonduality quotes by Enza Vita
To this I replied, "I still think that my body is not merely a sensory appearance, for surely it came from my parents, who were its cause and condition."
He said, "If you think that your body came from your father and mother, then what are the beginning and end of these parents? What are their source, their location, their final destination? Tell me!"
I answered, "I think that they exist, but I am not aware of what they are. It seems to me that a physical body without parents is not possible."
He retorted, "Consider this. Who are the parents of the body in a dream, in the bardo, and in the hell realms?" With that, I arrived at the decision that this body has never existed, being simply a sensory experience. ~ Dudjom Lingpa
Nonduality quotes by Dudjom Lingpa
Om is not just a sound or vibration. It is not just a symbol. It is the entire cosmos, whatever we can see, touch, hear and feel. Moreover, it is all that is within our perception and all that is beyond our perception. It is the core of our very existence. If you think of Om only as a sound, a technique or a symbol of the Divine, you will miss it altogether. Om is the mysterious cosmic energy that is the substratum of all the things and all the beings of the entire universe. It is an eternal song of the Divine. It is continuously resounding in silence on the background of everything that exists. ~ Amit Ray
Nonduality quotes by Amit Ray
Paradise is not some kind of enchanted land filled with flowers and music. It is not some kind of spiritual Disneyland. Paradise is our primordial pure consciousness, which is free of all limitations but embodies the infinity of the divine. ~ Anam Thubten
Nonduality quotes by Anam Thubten
We can learn to return home to our open hearts at any moment. ~ Loch Kelly
Nonduality quotes by Loch Kelly
To know joy one must go much deeper. Joy is not mere sensation. It requires extraordinary refinement of the mind, but not the refinement of the self that gathers more and more to itself. Such a self, such a man, can never understand this state of joy in which the enjoyer is not. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
When you really understand who you are, you will experience unalloyed happiness. Happiness that you only dreamed about, happiness in the Silence, when nothing is happening but you're happy. Always happy, always at peace. All of the Gods that you have been praying to all your life, all of the Buddha's you've taken refuge in, the Krishnas, the Kalmias, the Shivahs, the Christ, Allah, they're all within you. You are that. There is only the one Self and you are That. Ponder this.

The knowledge of this brings you eternally infinite happiness instantly. When you begin to understand who you are, your Divine nature, that you are not the body, you're not the mind, once you understand your Infinite nature, who you really are and there's nothing else, you immediately become instantly happy. For happiness is your very nature. Happiness, the Self are synonymous. Consciousness, Absolute Reality, Pure Awareness, are all synonymous. There is only One. It has many names, but the One pervades all of space and time. And it is the only existence and you are That. There is no other existence. Awaken to this truth. You are the only One that does exist. And you are Consciousness. ~ Robert Adams
Nonduality quotes by Robert Adams
If we think there is a problem with the world, we have a problem! ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
Question what you think is enlightenment. ~ Jon Bernie
Nonduality quotes by Jon Bernie
True freedom is the willingness for life to be as it is, no matter how it appears. This willingness is expressed in the Abrahamic religions as "Thy will be done." Paradoxically, in completely accepting everything just as it is, there is space for something truly new and creative to enter the picture. And this space is never not here. ~ Joan Tollifson
Nonduality quotes by Joan Tollifson
Xinxin Ming or Trust in the Heart

The Perfect Way is only difficult for those who pick and choose;
Do not like, do not dislike; all will then be clear.
Make a hairbreadth difference, and heaven and earth are set apart.

If you want the truth [of nonduality] to stand clear before you, never be for or against.
The struggle between "for" and "against" is the mind's worst disease.
When the Way is not understood, the mind chatters endlessly to no avail.

The Perfect Way is vastness without holiness.
Like infinite space it contains all and lacks nothing.
Because you pick and choose, cling and reject, you can't see its Suchness.

Neither be entangled in the world, nor in inner feelings of emptiness.
Be serene in the oneness of things,
And dualism vanishes of its own accord.

Craving the passivity of Oneness you are filled with activity.
As long as you tarry in dualism,
You will never know Oneness.

If you don't trust in the Heart, you fall into assertion or denial.
In this world of Suchness there is neither self nor other-than-self.
To be in accord with the Way, let go of all self-centered striving.

Denying the world [of duality] is the asserting of it;
Asserting emptiness [oneness] is the denying of it.
The more you talk and think about it, the further astray you go.

To return to the root [the One] is to ~ Sengcan
Nonduality quotes by Sengcan
Rest as the awareness that is aware without using thought. ~ Loch Kelly
Nonduality quotes by Loch Kelly
A beam or pillar can be used to batter down a city wall, but it is no good for stopping up a little hole - this refers to a difference in function. Thoroughbreds like Qiji and Hualiu could gallop a thousand li in one day, but when it came to catching rats they were no match for the wildcat or the weasel - this refers to a difference in skill. The horned owl catches fleas at night and can spot the tip of a hair, but when daylight comes, no matter how wide it opens its eyes, it cannot see a mound or a hill - this refers to a difference in nature. Now do you say, that you are going to make Right your master and do away with Wrong, or make Order your master and do away with Disorder? If you do, then you have not understood the principle of heaven and earth or the nature of the ten thousand things. This is like saying that you are going to make Heaven your master and do away with Earth, or make Yin your master and do away with Yang. Obviously it is impossible. ~ Zhuangzi
Nonduality quotes by Zhuangzi
Meditation should not be regarded as a learning process. It should be regarded as an experiencing process. You should not try to learn from meditation but try to feel it. Meditation is an act of nonduality. The technique you are using should not be separate from you; it is you, you are the technique. Meditator and meditation are one. There is no relationship involved. ~ Chogyam Trungpa
Nonduality quotes by Chogyam Trungpa
During the last year she was alive, at age 95, my mother said many times, "It's so freeing to realize that nothing really matters." She said it joyously, with relief, as if a burden had been lifted. She also said over and over, "Love yourself".

Tollifson, Joan. Nothing to Grasp (p. 174). New Harbinger Publications. Kindle Edition. ~ Joan Tollifson
Nonduality quotes by Joan Tollifson
So what is transgressive in the practice of this secret Tantra is the gesture not to elide the difference that women present. What does this mean? That women represent not merely objects, property, or the possibility of sexual gratification, but an opening point to the possibility of difference as the subjectivity of the other. . .Rather, a recognition of the difference women present offers the possibility of a choice not to objectify women. This recognition recodes gendered relations inscribing woman discursively in the place of the subject. ~ Loriliai Biernacki
Nonduality quotes by Loriliai Biernacki
Feel nothing, know nothing, do nothing, have nothing, give up all to God, and say utterly, 'Thy will be done.' We only dream this bondage. Wake up and let it go. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Nonduality quotes by Swami Vivekananda
When you become responsive to the solicitations of silence, you may be called to explore the invitation. This exploration is a kind of laboratory. You may sit and observe the coming and going of perceptions. You remain present to them but do not follow them. Following a thought is what maintains it. If you remain present without becoming an accomplice, agitation slows down through lack of fuel. In the absence of agitation you are taken by the resonance of stillness. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Theistic absolutism and realism are the basic ontological principles of Kashmir Shaivism. In this philosophy everything that exists is real, and yet is spiritual as well, because everything is the manifestation of an absolute reality, described as pure, eternal, and infinite Consciousness. According to the ancient authors of this philosophy, the essential features of Consciousness are Its infinite, divine, and joyful vitality, and the inclination to manifest Its powers of creation, preservation, dissolution, obscuration, and revelation. The vibrant, creative quality is the divine essence of God. Consciousness is also described as luminous. It illuminates Itself and is always aware of Itself and everything within It.

The ancient masters refer in various ways to this One creative force out of which everything emerges. It is known most commonly as the Ultimate, Absolute Reality, Consciousness, Paramasiva, and God. Yet, according to Kashmir Shaivism, Paramasiva cannot be fully described or clearly thought over because, being infinite in nature, He cannot be confined to any thinking or speaking ability. No words can fully describe Him, no mind can correctly think about Him, and no understanding can perfectly understand Him. This is His absoluteness, and Kashmir Shaivism considers this absoluteness to be one of His key attributes. Because the Absolute cannot be fathomed with the intellect or through ordinary logical reasoning and philosophical speculation, the ancient ma ~ Balajinnatha Pandita
Nonduality quotes by Balajinnatha Pandita
Refutation of the Assertion That the (Phenomenal) Appearances Are Mind
Although forms appear to the mind, the (objective) appearances are not mind.... When the reflection of your face appears in a mirror, it appears as the face looks, because the clear surface of the mirror is capable of making the reflection appear and the face has the potential of appearing or of projecting the reflection. At that time, the reflection of the face is not the face, nor is there any other face than the face which imprinted it. Likewise, various kinds (of phenomena) are appearing in the deluded mind because of the interdependent origination of the causes and conditions of delusion. The various objective appearances, such as mountains, are not mind. Also there is nothing in the mind which truly exists, but (merely) appearances (created by the) delusory habituation of the mind. So they are the forms of delusory appearances. They are wrong appearances, just as the person who has "hairy vision" will see hair before his eyes.... ~ Longchen Rabjam
Nonduality quotes by Longchen Rabjam
The real quest begins when this not-knowing ceases to be an agnostic concept and becomes a living experience. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Abide in emptiness, embrace all form. ~ Anonymous Nondualist
Nonduality quotes by Anonymous Nondualist
Love is the most dangerous and uncertain element in life; and because we do not want to be uncertain, because we do not want to be in danger, we live in the mind. A man who loves is dangerous, and we do not want to live dangerously; we want to live efficiently, we want to live merely in the framework of organization because we think organizations are going to bring order and peace in the world. Organizations have never brought order and peace. Only love, only goodwill, only mercy can bring order and peace, ultimately and therefore now. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
My joy is like Spring, so warm
it makes flowers bloom all over the Earth.
My pain is like a river of tears,
so vast it fills the four oceans.

Please call me by my true names,
so I can hear all my cries and laughter at once,
so I can see that my joy and pain are one. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Nonduality quotes by Thich Nhat Hanh
Do you not know that when you love someone, you love the whole of mankind? Do you not know how dangerous it is to love man? Then, there is no barrier, no nationality; then, there is no craving for power and position, and things assume their values. Such a man is a danger to society. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
Quantum attention function is like a virtual mirror which brings time in timelessness, states in statelessness, forms in formlessness and locality in non-locality. ~ Amit Ray
Nonduality quotes by Amit Ray
The wind plays its own music. ~ Bert McCoy
Nonduality quotes by Bert McCoy
There is no separate entity that could be enlightened or unenlightened. There are only innumerable expressions of the One Being (which we call people, animals, forms), mirror-like facets, reflecting being-ness back to itself. ~ Enza Vita
Nonduality quotes by Enza Vita
It is only when I am in communion with sorrow that I understand it. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
Never say, "O Lord, I am a miserable sinner." Who will help you? You are the help of the universe. What in this universe can help you? What can prevail over you? You are the God of the universe; where can you seek for help? Never help came from anywhere but from yourself. In your ignorance, every prayer that you made and that was answered, you thought was answered by some Being, but you answered the prayer yourself unknowingly. The help came from yourself, and you fondly imagined that someone was sending help to you. There is no help for you outside of yourself; you are the creator of the universe. Like the silkworm, you have built a cocoon around yourself. Who will save you? Burst your own cocoon and come out as a beautiful butterfly, as the free soul. Then alone you will see Truth. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Nonduality quotes by Swami Vivekananda
You know, it is one of the most marvellous things in life to discover something unexpectedly, spontaneously, to come upon something without premeditation, and instantly to see the beauty, the sacredness, the reality of it. But a mind that is seeking and wanting to find is never in that position at all. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
Ultimate Reality is itself multiplicity, diversity. It is a waste of energy to strive to explain the world and its origin, which only diverts us from the essential Experience. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
It [mind of absolute reality] is everywhere and nowhere. It's somewhat like sky - so completely integrated with our existence that we never stop to question its reality or to recognize its qualities. ~ Yongey Mingyur
Nonduality quotes by Yongey Mingyur
Truth has no continuity. It is the mind that wants to make the experience which it calls truth continuous, and such a mind shall not know truth. Truth is always new; it is to see the same smile, and see that smile newly, to see the same person, and see that person anew, to see the waving palms anew, to meet life anew. ~ Jiddu Krishnamurti
Nonduality quotes by Jiddu Krishnamurti
Holistic, unconditional love, agape, is the unity in which duality disappears. It is as if a certain internal boundary has vanished. With agape what we love is ourselves, the way a mother loves her child as herself. This is the meaning of loving another as yourself – transcending our phenomenal borders and experiencing ourselves in another and the other in, not apart from, us. Eventually, if love is comprehensive, it unites us with everything and allows us to know that we are everything. Therefore, how can we support the illusion of this isolated, separate self that is threatened by and defends itself from everything outside? Love returns us to the unity that is actually Reality. Reality is not the isolation, suspicion, envy, selfishness, and fear of loss that we have come to accept as normal; it is that we are all part of one Life. The same Spirit moves in us all. You come to know this better when you realize that we all have the same kinds of feelings, the same wish to be known and respected, to share ourselves and let down our defenses. We are continually faced with a choice between personal achievement, personal security, and comfort on the one hand, and working for the whole and helping everyone and everything toward perfection on the other. We are faced with a choice between looking out for ourselves and contributing wholeheartedly to a common good. We are faced with focusing on self-love or increasing our love of all Life. (p. 191) ~ Kabir Edmund Helminski
Nonduality quotes by Kabir Edmund Helminski
But it can happen that a phrase intended to indicate a state beyond concepts just becomes another concept in itself, in the same way that if you ask a person their name and they reply that they have no name, you will then perhaps mistakenly call them 'No name'. ~ Namkhai Norbu
Nonduality quotes by Namkhai Norbu
It's a Buddhist concept. Nonduality. It's about oneness, about how things that seem to be separate are really connected to one another. There are no separations ... This is not just a piece of wood. This is also the clouds that brought the rain that watered the tree, and the birds that nested in it and the squirrels that fed on its nuts. It is also the food my grandparents fed me that made me strong enough to cut the tree, and it's the steel in the axe I used. And it's how you know your fox, which allowed you to carve him yesterday. And it's the story you will tell your children when you give this to them. All these things are separate but also one, inseparable. Do you see? ~ Sara Pennypacker
Nonduality quotes by Sara Pennypacker
You want me to talk about love, to give you a hold, something to feel, to admire or obtain. I will not give you a straw to grasp, and in this emptiness you will be taken by yourself. You are love so don't try to be a lover. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Spiritual enlightenment includes the realization that there is no 'there' to go to, and no one to go. ~ Mokokoma Mokhonoana
Nonduality quotes by Mokokoma Mokhonoana
Life is perpetual freshness, in permanent movement,
As such, we need to be the same way;
A childlike innocence is requested by Existence,
Every time, in every circumstance – a priceless purity. ~ Ilie Cioara
Nonduality quotes by Ilie Cioara
We all are so deeply interconnected; we have no option but to love all. Be kind and do good for any one and that will be reflected. The ripples of the kind heart are the highest blessings of the Universe. ~ Amit Ray
Nonduality quotes by Amit Ray
Just stick to the ordinary circumstances without labeling them ordinary. Be open to them with no desire to change them in any way. They are, in fact, already magical and miraculous. They are the revelation of the Absolute. The mountains, for instance, are already miracles. We don't need a little angel on top of the mountain to make it more miraculous, so don't make one up. ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
We would not be able to encounter the beauty of a sunset or the beauty and perfume emanated by nature on a spring day, if we did not already have this beauty within us. When the beauty within us is revealed, we will also be able to see beauty in a flower, a leaf of grass or a grain of sand, or even in a clod of mud. ~ Ilie Cioara
Nonduality quotes by Ilie Cioara
Mind is the altar, mind is the temple, mind is the lord and mind is the gospel. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Travel is such a wonderful experience! Especially when you forget you are traveling. Then you will enjoy whatever you see and do. Those who look into themselves when they travel will not think about what they see. In fact, there is no distinction between the viewer and the seen. You experience everything with the totality of yourself, so that every blade of grass, every mountain, every lake is alive and is a part of you. When there is no division between you and what is other, this is the ultimate experience of traveling. ~ Liezi
Nonduality quotes by Liezi
The world needs psychological singularity, that is oneness among humans, not some pompous biotechnological singularity. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
The philosophic outlook rises above all sectarian controversy. It finds its own position not only by appreciating and synthesizing what is solidly based in the rival sects but also by capping them all with the keystone of nonduality. ~ Paul Brunton
Nonduality quotes by Paul Brunton
what is not true does not exist in this moment. ~ Bert McCoy
Nonduality quotes by Bert McCoy
Someone asked me the other day - 'could you tell me, what is right human living' - I put my hand on his shoulder and asked him to sit beside me, with a gentle smile on my face, then uttered softly, 'I don't know your religious belief or disbelief, I don't know your professional background, I don't know your economic or social status, all I need to know is that you are a human being, a reflection of my own self, so I treat you with kindness and acceptance, same as I treat myself'. The world is flooded with judgments and opinions - for once my friend, take a step beyond that flood, and you shall see a beautiful world, where being human is a beautiful thing - in that world being human is all that matters. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Can you be a little baby? The baby howls all day, yet its throat never gets hoarse - harmony at its height! The baby makes fists all day, yet its fingers never get cramped - virtue is all it holds to. The baby stares all day without blinking its eyes - it has no preferences in the world of externals. ~ Zhuangzi
Nonduality quotes by Zhuangzi
Trust the unpredictable intelligence of healing, and know that their "symptoms" may get worse before they get better; energy may become more intense before it dies down. What appears now as chaos and disintegration may in fact be a necessary release and an intelligent reorganization of blocked systems. ~ Jeff Foster
Nonduality quotes by Jeff Foster
When timeless moments solicit you, accept the invitation. Go deep within it, until you find yourself in your absence. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
God is an artist par excellence. He has painted the picturesque universe on the screen of His own immutable and glowing Spirit. So He is at once the painter and the painted. In the ultimate analysis, God and His lover, God and His devotee and servant, are He. The unmanifest--which is beyond all duality has become both. This secret few know. ~ Swami Ramdas
Nonduality quotes by Swami Ramdas
Once you see yourself reflected on the face of others, that's when you know that you have truly become enlightened. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
We are one huge universe speaking and listening to itself. ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
Any meaningful work for peace must follow the principle of nonduality, the principle of penetration. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh
Nonduality quotes by Thich Nhat Hanh
Let ghosts sleep, don't wake them up. Celebrate and just get used to celebrating more and more. ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
To begin with, it seems like an effort to keep returning to the welcoming presence, but at some point it is so natural that it seems to require an effort to leave it. It feels like home. We no longer feel that we need to be entertained. ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
In your usual state of consciousness, there is a separate quale experience of everything you observe. But when you transcend into the domain of absolute divinity, all your qualia get mixed up. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Spirituality is not creating boundaries but creating space for others to come into your life. ~ Amit Ray
Nonduality quotes by Amit Ray
The radiance of that which wants to be born illuminates the shadows, bringing them into the light of awareness that they may be healed. ~ Charles Eisenstein
Nonduality quotes by Charles Eisenstein
What any desire really aims at, is a state of non-desire. This non-desire is a state in which we demand absolutely nothing. Thus it is a state of extreme abundance, of fullness. This fullness is revealed as being bliss and peace. You now know that you are really seeking nothing else but fullness and absolute peace. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Go deeply into the urge to be silent and not the mental interference of how, where and when. If you follow silence to its source you can be taken by it in a moment. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
The superb use the mind as mirror, not welcoming nor rejecting, reflect without hiding, and triumph without harming. (Chuang Tzu) ~ Sung Yee Poon
Nonduality quotes by Sung Yee Poon
As simple as that sounds, it is nevertheless extremely difficult to adequately discuss no-boundary awareness or nondual consciousness. This is because our language - the medium in which all verbal discussion must float - is a language of boundaries. As we have seen, words and symbols and thoughts themselves are actually nothing but boundaries, for whenever you think or use a word or name, you are already creating boundaries. Even to say "reality is no-boundary awareness" is still to create a distinction between boundaries and no-boundary! So we have to keep in mind the great difficulty involved with dualistic language. That "reality is no-boundary" is true enough, provided we remember that no-boundary awareness is a direct, immediate, and nonverbal awareness, and not a mere philosophical theory. It is for these reasons that the mystic-sages stress that reality lies beyond names and forms, words and thoughts, divisions and boundaries. Beyond all boundaries lies the real world of Suchness, the Void, the Dharmakaya, Tao, Brahman, the Godhead. And in the world of suchness, there is neither good nor bad, saint nor sinner, birth nor death, for in the world of suchness there are no boundaries. ~ Ken Wilber
Nonduality quotes by Ken Wilber
The secret of enlightenment is the absolute, unequivocal conviction that it exists.

What does that mean? It means you have discovered an unshakable confidence in the fact of nonduality - in the perennial mystical revelation that IT IS . . . and I AM THAT. A confidence in that which can never be seen or known is the very ground of the enlightened state. Being is ungraspable, it's unknowable, it's ever elusive, and yet it is the only place you can find true confidence in life. Why? Because it is the very source of life itself.

The conscious experience of Being, which is what enlightenment is, has always been the ultimate answer to the most fundamental spiritual questions: Who am I? and Why am I here? Those who have tasted enlightened awareness find that in that experience, any trace of existential doubt and all the questions that go along with it instantaneously disappear. It's not even that they are answered, but rather, the questions lose their meaning. When you locate the nonrelative, or absolute, nature of consciousness in the depths of your own self, it is experienced as a clarity that is empty of content; a weightiness that is full of nothing in particular; a profound knowing that dissolves all questions. In that questionless state, you find yourself profoundly rooted and radically free, supported by an absolute confidence in the knowing of no-thing that changes everything. The experience of that empty ground is the answer - the one answer that alway ~ Andrew Cohen
Nonduality quotes by Andrew Cohen

Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
We are One in spirit, omnipresent and all-knowing, and at the same time, we are individual souls, each with unique attributes. ~ Akemi G
Nonduality quotes by Akemi G
Let them laugh and point. You are a yogi of traffic jams and discarded apple cores, aloneness and impossibly blue winter skies, a yogi of broken dreams, mad with truth and devotion and inexplicable joy, and you cannot be saved now. ~ Jeff Foster
Nonduality quotes by Jeff Foster
Advaita, being the non-dual reality, necessarily points to the essential truth in all religions. Paula Marvelly points out that: 'All religions and faiths contain an esoteric heart, a mystical belief that I AM is in fact synonymous with God.' (Ref. 353) As Gandhi said: 'If the same divinity constitutes the core of all individuals, they cannot but be equal. Further, divinity in one person cannot in any way be unjust to the same divinity in another person.' (Ref. 215) Sayings from the bible such as those of God to Moses ('I am that I am' ) or of Christ ('The kingdom of heaven is within you') express the fundamental truth of Advaita, the non-dual reality of Brahman. ~ Dennis Waite
Nonduality quotes by Dennis Waite
The essence of death is discovered in the gap between one moment ceasing and another one beginning. That essence is the wakefulness that is our true nature. ~ Enza Vita
Nonduality quotes by Enza Vita
Can infinity have parts? What is meant by parts of infinity? If you reason it out, you will find that it is impossible. Infinity cannot be divided, it always remains infinite. If it could be divided, each part would be infinite. And there cannot be two infinites. Suppose there were, one would limit the other, and both would be finite. Infinity can only be one, undivided. Thus the conclusion will be reached that the infinite is one and not many, and that one Infinite Soul is reflecting itself through thousands and thousands of mirrors, appearing as so many different souls. It is the same Infinite Soul, which is the background of the universe, that we call God. The same Infinite Soul also is the background of the human mind which we call the human soul. ~ Swami Vivekananda

Being part of the whole, as I grow so does that which contains me. ~ Chris Matakas
Nonduality quotes by Chris Matakas
However, questions arise. Are there people who aren't naive realists, or special situations in which naive realism disappears? My theory - the self-model theory of subjectivity - predicts that as soon as a conscious representation becomes opaque (that is, as soon as we experience it as a representation), we lose naive realism. Consciousness without naive realism does exist. This happens whenever, with the help of other, second-order representations, we become aware of the construction process - of all the ambiguities and dynamical stages preceding the stable state that emerges at the end. When the window is dirty or cracked, we immediately realize that conscious perception is only an interface, and we become aware of the medium itself. We doubt that our sensory organs are working properly. We doubt the existence of whatever it is we are seeing or feeling, and we realize that the medium itself is fallible. In short, if the book in your hands lost its transparency, you would experience it as a state of your mind rather than as an element of the outside world. You would immediately doubt its independent existence. It would be more like a book-thought than a book-perception. Precisely this happens in various situations - for example, In visual hallucinations during which the patient is aware of hallucinating, or in ordinary optical illusions when we suddenly become aware that we are not in immediate contact with reality. Normally, such experiences make us think something is wrong ~ Thomas Metzinger

Everything sacred, nothing sacred. ~ Bodhidharma
Nonduality quotes by Bodhidharma
It [realization of Oneness] means being constantly open to the possibility that we are like two flowers looking at each other from two different branches of the same tree, so that if we were to go deep enough inside to the trunk, we would realize that we are one. Just being open to this possibility will have a profound effect on your relationships and on your experience of the world. ~ Francis Lucille
Nonduality quotes by Francis Lucille
The roots of all living things are tied together. Deep in the ground of being, they tangle and embrace. This understanding is expressed in the term nonduality. If we look deeply, we find that we do not have a separate self-identity, a self that does not include sun and wind, earth and water, creatures and plants, and one another. ~ Joan Halifax
Nonduality quotes by Joan Halifax
Division and differentiation are the processes by which things are created. Since things are emerging and dissolving all the time, you cannot specify the point when this division will stop. ~ Liezi

Meditation is a social and political act. Listening and not-doing are actions far more powerful than most of us have yet begun to realize. ~ Joan Tollifson
Nonduality quotes by Joan Tollifson
Consideration of others extends beyond just other human beings to include all things - tables, cushions, even toilet paper. We must be considerate of all things and treat them with great appreciation and respect. ~ Dainin Katagiri
Nonduality quotes by Dainin Katagiri
Eventually, you reach your goal of complete nondual freedom, the simultaneous nondual experience of supremely liberated cognitive dissonance, wherein you joyfully live the moment-to-moment reconciliation of all dichotomies. (p. 77) ~ Robert A.F. Thurman
Nonduality quotes by Robert A.F. Thurman
Deep inquiry leads to contemplation, or prayer. Through dedicated contemplation we can attune to consciousness, the light which constitutes all phenomena. This light is our intrinsic nature. Our being is always shining. Our real nature is openness, listening, release, surrender without producing or will. Prayer or contemplation is welcoming free from projection and expectation. It is without demand and formulation. It invites the object to unfold in you and reveals your openness to you. Live with this opening, this vastness. Attune yourself to it. It is love. Ardent contemplation brings you to living meditation so ultimately they are one. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
It is not you as the ego who moves through life, but that life flows before you, and you are the immutable awareness containing it all. ~ Enza Vita
Nonduality quotes by Enza Vita
Awareness is Brahman. The absolute cosmic consciousness. When you are aware, you are connected with Brahman. ~ Banani Ray
Nonduality quotes by Banani Ray
Basic awareness meditation is really nothing more or less than giving open, nonjudgmental attention to present-moment, non-conceptual experiencing. You don't have to be in the lotus position. This can happen on the city bus. ~ Joan Tollifson

SHOHAKU OKUMURA ~ If we feel we're becoming enlightened, that's delusion. ~ Kosho Uchiyama

We are all reflections of each other in the vast mirror of motion and space. ~ Abhijit Naskar
Nonduality quotes by Abhijit Naskar
Although other (yānas) assert that liberation will be achieved by renouncing the objects, one will not be bound by the mere appearances or the mind and the objects (Yul Dang Ch'os-Su sNang-Ba), but will be bound if one attaches (Zhen-Pa) to them. So it is taught (in scriptures) that one should renounce apprehension and attachment. Tilopā said: 'Appearances do not bind, but attachments do. So, Nāropa, cut off the attachments.... ~ Longchen Rabjam

Be aware of yourself without thinking or looking in the mirror ~ Bert McCoy

You are your own nearest environment, so begin with yourself. ~ Jean Klein
Nonduality quotes by Jean Klein
Love is a flame without smoke, ever fresh, creative, joyous. Such love is dangerous to society, to relationship. So, thought steps in, modifies, guides it, legalizes it, puts it out of danger; then one can live with it.
