These choices we make, they seem so small-- they're made in a split second and yet they can have a ripple effect for years. ~ Heather McElhatton
Life S Choices quotes by Heather McElhatton
Time heals all wounds or Time wounds all heels. Take your pick ... oh, life's small choices. ~ Carol Morgan
Life S Choices quotes by Carol Morgan
When you give voice to your fear, when you expose it, as vulnerable as that makes you, you give others the same permission. You give them courage to believe there's more to life than cowering. You give hope. And my guess is, when you tackle your inner fears, you will eventually tackle what's hold you back from who God intended you to be. Your fears lead you to who you really are. ~ Chris Fabry
Life S Choices quotes by Chris Fabry
Life is what we make of it. Everything is not always as it seems. Sometimes we have to make decisions that are for the greater good. ~ J.S. Cooper
Life S Choices quotes by J.S. Cooper
Even though its common knowledge these days, it never ceases to amaze me that all the richness of our mental life - all our feelings, our emotions, our thoughts, our ambitions, our love life, our religious sentiments and even what each of us regards us his own intimate private self - is simply the activity of these little specks of jelly in your head, in your brain. There is nothing else. ~ V.S. Ramachandran
Life S Choices quotes by V.S. Ramachandran
Once you take the cat out of the bag, you can't cram it back in. ~ Jen Calonita
Life S Choices quotes by Jen Calonita
Facing another day, with ordinary callings to ordinary people all around us is much more difficult than chasing my own dreams that I have envisioned for the grand story of my life. ~ Michael S. Horton
Life S Choices quotes by Michael S. Horton
Jonah's anger was not marked by outbursts of rage but by a quiet withdrawal from the company of others and a growing preoccupation with the events in his own life. ~ Colin S. Smith
Life S Choices quotes by Colin S. Smith
Sometimes good came out of hurt, compensation came out of pain. He gave with one hand, and He took with the other. ~ Lalita Tademy
Life S Choices quotes by Lalita Tademy
One of the things that happened when the church moved from meetings in homes to having purpose-built buildings beginning before, but accelerated during, the Constantinian era, is that while the church itself was becoming less Jewish in character, it began to apply a more and more Old Testament hermeneutic to its discussions about church, ministry, and sacraments. The church began to be seen as a temple or basilica, the Lord's Supper began to be seen as a sacrifice, and naturally enough the ones offering the sacrifices, just as in Leviticus, were seen to be priests. There was the further move in this direction when Sunday began to be seen as the Sabbath, another example of this same sort of hermeneutic. There were considerable problems with this whole hermeneutic from the start, since nowhere in the New Testament is there set up a class of priests or clerics to administer any sacraments. Indeed, nowhere was there a clear separation between life in the home and life in church. What has often been missed in the discussions of the effects of all this is that it ruled women out of ministry in the larger church and indeed ruled them out of celebrating the Lord's Supper as well, since in the Old Testament only males were priests and only priests could offer sacrifices. ~ Ben Witherington III
Life S Choices quotes by Ben Witherington III
There is a wilderness we walk alone
However well-companioned ~ Stephen Vincent Benet
Life S Choices quotes by Stephen Vincent Benet
Oh, why fill the heart with yesterday and tomorrow when this moment is all the heart needs? Let the heart be present, let the mind be here, let the eyes see, let the ears hear, let the soul witness, let the words flow ... down this gentle river, you know the way.

Why must the eyes know exactly where and why must the mind know exactly how and why must the heart know exactly what and why must the soul know exactly when? It doesn't matter.

In the same way that the headlights do not need to show from here all the way to your home before you get there, the headlights just need to show the next few feet. And if the car continues to move, with the headlights showing just the next few feet, you can make it home from anywhere.

So in the same way, let the heart, let the eyes, let the mind, let the ears, let the soul, let the touch of this moment feel what is here ... without focusing on what will be there. Allow the essence of this, and this, and this, and this to enrich your life. Be with this now. Witness the tree as you pass by and watch the birds fly to it, drawn to it in the same way that bugs are drawn to lights. Let your heart be drawn to this moment, let your soul be guided by what is here, now. ~ Israel S. Dudley
Life S Choices quotes by Israel S. Dudley
The clouds that floats on life sometimes carry the rain, sometimes open up and separate for giving you the light you need to warm up ~ Carlos Sá (CS)
Life S Choices quotes by Carlos Sá (CS)
I'm not sure what he means. "What am I doing?"
"You're making me fall so hard for you that my head is spinning. The more time I spend with you, the more I want. The more I touch you, the more I crave you. I can't concentrate at work or sleep or do anything but think about you. You're making a hot mess of my life.
…"It's the best feeling I've ever experienced. Please don't ever take it away from me. I'm not sure I'd survive it. ~ M.S. Force
Life S Choices quotes by M.S. Force
The passing of every old man or woman means the passing of some tradition, some knowledge of sacred rites possessed by no other ... consequently the information that is to be gathered, for the benefit of future generations, respecting the mode of life of one of the great races of mankind, must be collected at once or the opportunity will be lost for all time. ~ Edward S. Curtis
Life S Choices quotes by Edward S. Curtis
Life," he said softly, "is more than flesh. Your body is a candle, your soul the flame. The longer I burn the candle..." He did not finish.
"A candle unused is nothing but wax and wick," I said."I would rather light the flame, knowing it will go out than sit forever in darkness. ~ S. Jae-Jones
Life S Choices quotes by S. Jae-Jones
Try to exclude the possibility of suffering which the order of nature and the existence of free-wills involve, and you find that you have excluded life itself ~ C.S. Lewis
Life S Choices quotes by C.S. Lewis
Laurent stopped. Damen could see the moment when Laurent decided to continue. It was deliberate, his eyes meeting Damen's, his tone subtly changed.
'Damianos of Akielos was commanding troops at seventeen. At nineteen, he rode onto the field, cut a path through our finest men, and took my brother's life. They say
they said
he was the best fighter in Akielos. I thought, if I was going to kill someone like that, I would have to be very, very good. ~ C.S. Pacat
Life S Choices quotes by C.S. Pacat
That is why Christians are told not to judge. We see only the results which a man's choices make out of his raw material. But God does not judge him on the raw material at all, but on what he has done with it. ~ C.S. Lewis
Life S Choices quotes by C.S. Lewis
Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. it will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you. ~ Robin S. Sharma
Life S Choices quotes by Robin S. Sharma
Many of us beat ourselves up because we do not have as much economic wealth as we would like to see. Money is important to live your best life. But it is not the be all and end all. Many rich people are not truly wealthy. Working on each of these five forms of wealth will inspire you to reach higher, dream bigger and to enjoy genuine fulfillment as you savor the blessing that is called your life. I ~ Robin S. Sharma
Life S Choices quotes by Robin S. Sharma
Life is full of changes. And surprises. And the inexplicable(s). ~ Hlovate
Life S Choices quotes by Hlovate
Writing is a part of life that has to be explored. ~ P.S. Winn
Life S Choices quotes by P.S. Winn
This is not an academic book. I have not written it for professional theologians. I have tried to write a practical book for ordinary Christians who want to hear God's voice above the clamor of everyday life. The still, small voice that spoke to Elijah in the cave is far more powerful than many of us realize. It can keep us from being bound by tradition or driven by circumstance. The voice can give us more than our own abilities to understand the Bible. Many Christians have wandered into a spiritual wilderness devoid of passion and power. Those who hear and obey the voice of God will escape that wilderness or see it changed into a garden. ~ Jack S. Deere
Life S Choices quotes by Jack S. Deere
Life changes so quickly and like a sailboat you either wait for whatever cross wind comes your way to move you on your journey or you can actually decide where you want to go and use the ship's engine to stay on course. ~ Wes Adamson
Life S Choices quotes by Wes Adamson
Rumor has it: when you marry a Walsh you are set for life. Only one thing can screw it up. ~ Jessica Gordon
Life S Choices quotes by Jessica Gordon
I have always lived in a world in which I'm just a spot in history. My life is not the important point. I'm just part of the continuum, and that continuum, to me, is a marvelous thing. The history of life, and the history of the planet, should go on and on and on and on. I cannot conceive of anything in the universe that has more meaning than that.
[Sheri S. Tepper: Speaking to the Universe, Locus Magazine, September 1998] ~ Sheri S. Tepper
Life S Choices quotes by Sheri S. Tepper
The crusaders against Nature are anti-Life unto death, Earth-estranged with every breath, malevolently cavalier and disdainfully deaf to subtle and even blatant cries of Creation. ~ A.S. Reisfield
Life S Choices quotes by A.S. Reisfield
T.S. Eliot said to me 'There's only one way a poet can develop his actual writing – apart from self-criticism & continual practice. And that is by reading other poetry aloud – and it doesn't matter whether he understands it or not (i.e. even if it's in another language.) What matters above all, is educating the ear.' What matters, is to connect your own voice with an infinite range of verbal cadences & sequences – and only endless actual experience of your ear can store all that in your nervous system. The rest can be left to your life & your character. ~ Ted Hughes
Life S Choices quotes by Ted Hughes
New Years are so full of Old Year's promises. ~ Anthony T. Hincks
Life S Choices quotes by Anthony T. Hincks
Satisfaction of one's curiosity is one of the greatest sources of happiness in life.
Linus Pauling ~ Linus Pauling
Life S Choices quotes by Linus Pauling
My archive project is a multiedged sword. It is something I love doing, but it raises some questions about my motives in doing it. A writer accused me of building my archives just to further my own legend, whatever that is. I hope you don't believe that. What a shallow existence that would be! I remember reading that article saying that about me. It pissed me off. It's my life, and I am a collector. I collect everything: cars, trains, manuscripts, photographs, tape recordings, records, memories and clothes, to name a few. The fact that I want to create a chronological history of my recordings and supporting work is proof positive that I am an incurable collector, confronted with an amazingly detailed array of creations that I have painstakingly rat-holed over the years. ~ Neil Young
Life S Choices quotes by Neil Young
Naturally – she's an actress." He laughed wryly to himself. "Complications. Oh, yes." The doctor reflected and then said, "I always think a life without complications isn't really a life, you know. In life things go wrong, nothing stays the same and there's nothing you can do about it. Friends betray you, family is a nightmare, lovers are fickle. This is the norm, no?" He smiled to himself, as if remembering something pertinent. "What kind of a world would it be where nothing ever went wrong, where everything stayed the same, life followed a designated path – family was adorable, friends and lovers were faithful and true?" He paused. "You know, I don't think I'd like that kind of a world. We're made for complications, we human beings. Anyway, such a perfect world could never exist – at least not on this small planet. ~ William Boyd
Life S Choices quotes by William Boyd
Yet with these April sunsets, that somehow recall
My buried life, and Paris in the spring,
I feel immeasurably at peace, and find the world
To be wonderful and youthful afterall ~ T. S. Eliot
Life S Choices quotes by T. S. Eliot
Funny way to spend your life, though, studying another chap's versifying. ~ A.S. Byatt
Life S Choices quotes by A.S. Byatt
Life without a Kindle is like life without a library nearby. ~ Franz S. McLaren
Life S Choices quotes by Franz S. McLaren
The shaman no longer looks for meaning in life, but brings meaning to every situation. The shaman stops looking for truth and instead brings truth to every encounter. You don t look for the right partner, you become the right partner. And then the right partner finds you. It s a very active practice focused on healing. ~ Alberto Villoldo
Life S Choices quotes by Alberto Villoldo
I can expend my life caught in the allure of a million places devised by man. Or, I can realize that being caught in the majesty of an eternal God is infinitely greater than being caught in a million places that will die a million deaths. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Life S Choices quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
