I'm not jaded yet. I'm still at the point where, if someone comes up to me with great energy, I'm happy to meet them. ~ David Walton
Jaded quotes by David Walton
There was a moment in my life when I really wanted to kill myself. And there was one other moment when I was close to that ... But even in my most jaded times, I had some hope. ~ Gerard Way
Jaded quotes by Gerard Way
I never really got any attention until I was on MTV. I became a household name because I was on every day from 3-4 P.M. I wasn't prepared for it - how mean they can be in the press. ~ Simon Rex
Jaded quotes by Simon Rex
It was so rare to find someone who was both so young and so wise, both so fresh and so jaded. ~ Ally Carter
Jaded quotes by Ally Carter
The presentation of hard core pornography, brutality and shocking language, from what I hear, is leaving the public jaded and tired of this kind of film. ~ Pola Negri
Jaded quotes by Pola Negri
You must be easily impressed," Zell said.

Lyriana nodded thoughtfully, not offended at all. "I supposed that's true, certainly compared to someone so worldly. I can only imagine the life experiences you've had to leave you so jaded." Zell blinked, trying to figure out if he'd just been insulted or complimented. ~ Andrew Shvarts
Jaded quotes by Andrew Shvarts
By default, most of us have taken the dare to simply survive. Exist. Get through. For the most part, we live numb to life - we've grown weary and apathetic and jaded ... and wounded. ~ Ann Voskamp
Jaded quotes by Ann Voskamp
The news appeals to the same jaded appetite that makes a child tire of a toy as soon as it becomes familiar and demand a new one in its place. ~ Christopher Lasch
Jaded quotes by Christopher Lasch
People get jaded in every profession, but for some reason, I feel as passionate as when I was 13 years old and just released my first album. I feel the same amount of adrenaline in my blood, and the same amount of curiosity as well. Curiosity about why I'm different. ~ Shakira
Jaded quotes by Shakira
We seemed to possess a similar worldview: slightly jaded, fiercely independent ... ~ Douglas Kennedy
Jaded quotes by Douglas Kennedy
The mixture of the grotesque and the tragic is agreeable to the spirit, as are discords to the jaded ear. ~ Charles Baudelaire
Jaded quotes by Charles Baudelaire
I really became aware of the fact that, oh yeah, whereas a lot of other shows are sort of cynical or jaded or just sort of coming from that sort of energy, our show is very, very about these love-based relationships. It really comes out, a lot of times, in a sweet way. And I think people find that refreshing about our show. That's one of the things I definitely picked up on. ~ Steve Zissis
Jaded quotes by Steve Zissis
Candied Sin I can hold you in my arms Feeling your soul's embrace I can make it hard to breath Standing face to face Lips of sweetest candied sin Wisps of thoughts ignite within Makes the hours infinite Observations intricate Touch of skin, heat and lace Skimmed upon a jaded face Into your depths, here I go Swept into my very soul. ~ Alexia Purdy
Jaded quotes by Alexia Purdy
Me, I was already jaded and tarnished, skeptical that a fantasy world could keep reality at bay. ~ Jodi Picoult
Jaded quotes by Jodi Picoult
Perhaps it's understandable to be more jaded on one's second exposure to something strange. ~ Louis Theroux
Jaded quotes by Louis Theroux
The game is cruel; but its cruelty is sensual and stirs George into hot excitement. He feels a thrill of pleasure to find the senses so eager in their response; too often, now, they seem sadly jaded. From his heart, he thanks these young animals for their beauty. And they will never know what they have done to make this moment marvelous to him, and life itself less hateful ... ~ Christopher Isherwood
Jaded quotes by Christopher Isherwood
You know a lot of times you'll find girls in a club are jaded to the other girls in the club. There's a nasty vibe between the chicks in the club. It's like a pretty girl can't look at another pretty girl and say Wow she's pretty. ~ Willa Ford
Jaded quotes by Willa Ford
As well as many subspecies, the main blocks are fear of failure after previous success, fear of success due to a sense of unworthiness, lack of potential venue, jaded attitude, crisis of confidence, evidence of persistent poor quality, lackadaisical motivation, and common everyday shortage of ideas. ~ Robert Genn
Jaded quotes by Robert Genn
I love sleeping. Waking is more and more hateful the older I get. I say this as if I've lived too long. I'm twenty-two. ~ Helen Oyeyemi
Jaded quotes by Helen Oyeyemi
As a child, I didn't see my dad that much because he was always working at the restaurant. He became pretty jaded after working at the restaurant for so long. ~ David Chang
Jaded quotes by David Chang
Even as I'm shoveling up my hooter, I realize the sad truth. Coke bores me, It bores us all. We're jaded cunts, in a scene we hate, a city we hate, pretending that we're at the center of the universe, trashing ourselves with crap drugs to stave off the feeling that real life is happening somewhere else, aware that all we're doing is feeding that paranoia and disenchantment, yet somehow we're too apathetic to stop. Cause, sadly, there's nothing else of interest to stop for. ~ Irvine Welsh
Jaded quotes by Irvine Welsh
We watch so many TV shows and movies about jaded or corrupt policemen, we forget people join the police force to do good, and they really care about that. ~ Enrico Colantoni
Jaded quotes by Enrico Colantoni
Description but Holden narrates in a cynical and jaded he offeres thoughtfuland even criticizing him for childishness bothered last row voice in-depth ~ Anonymous
Jaded quotes by Anonymous
Zeke embodied the contradiction of his generation: jaded about the fate of the world, idealistic about personal prospects. ~ Barbara Kingsolver
Jaded quotes by Barbara Kingsolver
When the darkness gets easier, you know you're sinking deeper, becoming dead yourself. ~ Lucy Christopher
Jaded quotes by Lucy Christopher
I'm not jaded. I never have been jaded. I've always been surprised at my success. I've always enjoyed it. ~ Maurice Sendak
Jaded quotes by Maurice Sendak
Not enough youths fighting windmills. And the old are fearful, jaded or dead. Do not ask me what to do. I am just as cowardly as you. And do not tell me it is enough to speak the truth; that it is bravery enough. Every mountain leveled to the ground, every forest burned, every man, woman, and child who lost their shanties to arsonist fires were defended to the heavens - with words. ~ Psyche Roxas-Mendoza
Jaded quotes by Psyche Roxas-Mendoza
According to Sarah, who had gone two years ago, prom was famous for being an overpriced disappointment where most people had no fun. ~ Cammie McGovern
Jaded quotes by Cammie McGovern
The treatment for jaded sensibilities is not to shatter them, after all. ~ Germaine Greer
Jaded quotes by Germaine Greer
My impulse to pull away vanished. As I stood there, my shoulders became damp. I searched his expression, too jaded to believe in white knights. Happy endings were never handed out. You had to fight for them, earn them with bruised hearts and sacrifices. And I just couldn't do it right now. It hurt too much when it fell apart. "Don't make me promises", I whispered, and the earnest glow in his eyes tarnished. ~ Kim Harrison
Jaded quotes by Kim Harrison
He was familiar enough with pleasure to know it might become jaded or reluctant; but joy was literally foreign to him, a word he would never easily pronounce, an exhilaration that had some other reckless nationality. For this reason, Caro's wholeness in love, her happiness in it, made her exotic. ~ Shirley Hazzard
Jaded quotes by Shirley Hazzard
Putting some 'gray in play,' as Chad referred to it, always helped. HE said the act of rationalizing the pros and cons helped to cloud the issues enough to avoid a moral quandary. It allowed us to believe the ends justified the means. Seeing gray helped to remove the black-and-white, right and wrong ethical choices.. . Had I become so jaded in my life that I had actually forgotten the difference between right and wrong? Or had I simply tried to ignore the difference so I could sleep at least two or three hours a night? ~ Luke Lively
Jaded quotes by Luke Lively
The saxophone does not speak that language. The saxophone speaks the language of the underground, the jaded melancholy of the half-light - grimy and sexy and sweaty and hard. It is the language of orphans and bastards and whores. ~ Eleanor Catton
Jaded quotes by Eleanor Catton
It was his pleasure to strike up friendships within the servile classes, with children, with beggars, with animals, with plain women and forgotten men. His courtesies were always extended to those who did not expect courtesy: when he encountered a man whose station was beneath him, he was never rude. To the higher classes, however, he held himself apart. He was not ungracious, but his manner was jaded and wistful, even unimpressed - a practice that, though not a strategy in any real sense, tended to win him a great deal of respect, and earn him a place among the inheritors of land and fortune, quite as if he had set out to end up there. In this way Aubert Gascoigne, ~ Eleanor Catton
Jaded quotes by Eleanor Catton
I am fundamentally happy. Everyone has experiences that makes them cynical, jaded or unhappy - you just have to fight those things off. I have totally emotional days when I cry and get insecure. PMS weirded out, doomed and tragic. I mean, I'm definitely not just a lollipop, happy in the wind girl. I'm human just like everyone else, but I think that it would be tragic to be on your deathbed and think, 'I could've I should've.' That gets me out of bed everyday. I can't even last like an hour in bed in the morning. I have to get out there and live. ~ Drew Barrymore
Jaded quotes by Drew Barrymore
The third flaw is underconfidence, though it will seem to you like modesty or humility. You have learned so many flaws in your own nature, some of them impossible to fix, that you may think that the rule of wisdom is to confess your own inability. You may question yourself, without resolution or testing to determine the self-answers. You may refuse to decide, pending further evidence, when a quick decision is necessary. You may take advice you should not take. Jaded cynicism and sage despair are less fashionable than once they were, but you may still be tempted by them. Or you may simply - lose momentum. ~ Eliezer Yudkowsky
Jaded quotes by Eliezer Yudkowsky
Writing fiction is not a profession that leaves one well-disposed toward reading fiction. One starts out loving books and stories, and then one becomes jaded and increasingly hard to please. I read less and less fiction these days, finding the buzz and the joy I used to get from fiction in ever stranger works of non-fiction, or poetry. ~ Neil Gaiman
Jaded quotes by Neil Gaiman
I could neither laugh with nor at the solemn utterances of men I esteemed ponderous asses; nor could I laugh, nor engage in my old-time lightsome persiflage, with the silly superficial chatterings of women, who, underneath all their silliness and softness, were as primitive, direct, and deadly in their pursuit of biological destiny as the monkeys women were before they shed their furry coats and replaced them with the furs of other animals. ~ Jack London
Jaded quotes by Jack London
I want to have the eyes of an adult to see the world as it is, but I more desperately want to have the heart of a child to make certain that I never forget what it could be. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Jaded quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
It is eminently a weariable faculty, eminently delicate, and incapable of bearing fatigue; so that if we give it too many objects at a time to employ itself upon, or very grand ones for a long time together, it fails under the effort, becomes jaded, exactly as the limbs do by bodily fatigue, and incapable of answering any farther appeal till it has had rest. ~ John Ruskin
Jaded quotes by John Ruskin
You lose a certain type of innocence when you experience this type of kindness. You lose your right to be a jaded cynic. You can no longer go back through the looking glass and pretend not to know what you know about kindness. ~ Rob Sheffield
Jaded quotes by Rob Sheffield
Evie fought to contain a rush of eagerness, afraid of appearing foolishly infatuated with him. However, no matter how sternly she tamped her feelings down beneath the surface, they seemed to sift out like diamond dust, sparkling visibly in the air around her. The odd thing was, he seemed similarly glad to be in her presence, for once discarding the guise of a jaded rake, and smiling at her with genuine warmth. ~ Lisa Kleypas
Jaded quotes by Lisa Kleypas
With the second record (2012's Anxiety), I was quite jaded, and exhausted, and tired. With this third record, I feel that I've come full circle. I had gotten to the absolute pinnacle of how bad someone could feel. ~ Ladyhawke
Jaded quotes by Ladyhawke
Because I was from the Midwest and untrained, I was completely open and ready to try anything. Many of my classmates were cynical and jaded; some already had conservatory training, and they were there simply to get that Yale stamp of approval, which they saw as a career stepping-stone. ~ Laila Robins
Jaded quotes by Laila Robins
I think that being isolated from the Hollywood world of premieres and red carpet events was probably good for me because I could ease into those at will and by my own choice. But in other aspects, when it comes to fanfare, Hawaii is nuts and in L.A. they're all so jaded. They don't care. ~ Evangeline Lilly
Jaded quotes by Evangeline Lilly
Only
but this is rare
When a beloved hand is laid in ours,
When, jaded with the rush and glare
Of the interminable hours,
Our eyes can in another's eyes read clear,
When our world-deafen'd ear
Is by the tones of a loved voice caress'd
A bolt is shot back somewhere in our breast,
And a lost pulse of feeling stirs again.
The eye sinks inward, and the heart lies plain,
And what we mean, we say, and what we would, we know.
A man becomes aware of his life's flow,
And hears its winding murmur; and he sees
The meadows where it glides, the sun, the breeze. ~ Matthew Arnold
Jaded quotes by Matthew Arnold
Then Toraf opens the passenger side door…Wait. That's not Toraf.
I've never seen this man before, yet he's eerily familiar. His silhouette sitting next to Galen was definitely classic Syrena male, but the glare from the sun had hidden his face. I'd naturally just assumed that where there's a Galen, there's a Toraf. Now that his face is in full view though, I see that this man looks like a slightly older version of Galen. Slightly older as in slightly more jaded. Other than that, he could be his twin brother. It may be because he's wearing some of Galen's clothes, a wrinkled brown polo shirt and plaid shorts. But he shares other things, too, besides clothes.
He's handsome like Galen, with the same strong jaw and the same eyebrow shape and the way he's wearing the same expression on his face that Galen is-that he's found what he's been looking for. Only, the stranger's expression clearly divulges that he's been looking for a lot longer than Galen has-and this man is not looking at me.
And that's when I know just exactly who he is. That's when I believe the look in Galen's eyes. That he didn't lie to me, that he loves me. Because this man has to be Grom.
Mom confirms it with a half cry, half growl. "No. No. It can't be." Even if she weren't handcuffed to Rachel right now, I'm not sure she'd actually be able to move. Disbelief has a special way of paralyzing you.
With every step the man takes toward Rachel's car, he shakes his head more vigorously. It's l ~ Anna Banks
Jaded quotes by Anna Banks
We're all so jaded. We've seen so many movies. We know what's going to happen in every single movie. I mean, there are some movies where I'm like why do I even need to keep watching? And so, if you can make a movie in which you're completely surprising the audience left and right, and left and right, then you've won. If a jaded film critic or reporter or an audience is like, "I didn't see that one coming," that to me is like a victory. ~ Richard Shepard
Jaded quotes by Richard Shepard
I've been in love and it doesn't last. And when it's over, it's hell for a while. And then one discovers that life goes on. Eventually, one falls in love again. This pattern repeats itself until one is too jaded to believe in it anymore, or too old for all the upheaval. ~ Laura Lee Guhrke
Jaded quotes by Laura Lee Guhrke
Here's what I love about travel: strangers get a chance to amaze you. Sometimes a single day can bring a blooming surprise, a simple kindness that opens a chink in the brittle shell of your heart and makes you a different person when you go to sleep--more tender, less jaded--than you were when you woke up. ~ Tanya Shaffer
Jaded quotes by Tanya Shaffer
I know you would rather think the best of someone than the worst, and I know no matter how many times they disappoint you, it doesn't make you jaded in the least. ~ Karina Halle
Jaded quotes by Karina Halle
Sometimes, when you work with directors who have done it a lot and are established in the business and know the game, there are all these rules that they have. First-time directors will allow you to come in with choices. They're not so jaded by actors that they're like, 'Ugh, just do your job, man.' ~ Jake Johnson
Jaded quotes by Jake Johnson
She was breathtaking in her beauty and her human spirit, he thought, unable to speak as he gazed upon her. Hers was the sort that would not fade or grow jaded with time and years, but flourish, grow more radiant with life and its experience. Hers was a beauty that no other possessed. A beauty he longed to keep, to hide away, to bask in, himself alone. She had become his. He didn't know when, whether it had been the moment her fingertips had touched him when he was hurt, or if it had grown, like a seed, slowing spreading until Jane had become the root anchoring the shattered pieces of his heart, pulling them tight together until it resembled the organ it should. ~ Charlotte Featherstone
Jaded quotes by Charlotte Featherstone
Let us never get so jaded by the complexities of life that we forget the sweetness, pureness, innocence of love at first bloom. ~ J. Autherine
Jaded quotes by J. Autherine
The most of us make our backs ache carrying useless, foolish burdens. We carry luggage and rubbish that are of no earthly use, but which sap our strength and keep us jaded and tired to no purpose. If we could only learn to hold on to the things worthwhile, and drop the rubbish, - let go the useless, the foolish, the silly, the hamperers, the things that hinder, - we should not only make progress but we should keep happy and harmonious. ~ Orison Swett Marden
Jaded quotes by Orison Swett Marden
I'll always choose a teacher with enthusiasm and weak technique over one with brilliant strategies but who is just punching the clock. Why? An enthusiastic teacher can learn technique, but it is almost impossible to light a fire inside the charred heart of a burned-out teacher. ~ Dave Burgess
Jaded quotes by Dave Burgess
To pragmatists, the letter Z is nothing more than a phonetically symbolic glyph, a minor sign easily learned, readily assimilated, and occasionally deployed in the course of a literate life. To cynics, Z is just an S with a stick up its butt.
Well, true enough, any word worth repeating is greater than the sum of its parts; and the particular word-part Z can, from a certain perspective, appear anally wired.
On those of us neither prosaic nor jaded, however, those whom the Fates have chosen to monitor such things, Z has had an impact above and beyond its signifying function. A presence in its own right, it's the most distant and elusive of our twenty-six linguistic atoms; a mysterious, dark figure in an otherwise fairly innocuous lineup, and the sleekest little swimmer ever to take laps in a bowl of alphabet soup.
Scarcely a day of my life has gone by when I've not stirred the alphabetical ant nest, yet every time I type or pen the letter Z, I still feel a secret tingle, a tiny thrill…
Z is a whip crack of a letter, a striking viper of a letter, an open jackknife ever ready to cut the cords of convention or peel the peach of lust.
A Z is slick, quick, arcane, eccentric, and always faintly sinister - although its very elegance separates it from the brutish X, that character traditionally associated with all forms of extinction. If X wields a tire iron, Z packs a laser gun. Zap! If X is Mike Hammer, Z is James Bond. If X marks the spot, Z avoids the spot, ~ Tom Robbins
Jaded quotes by Tom Robbins
In the broader spiritual realities, no rites or rituals are necessary to know God. NONE. Any religion that insists you can come to intimate knowledge of the Divine by any means other than stillness, self-awareness, and unity with consciousness is deceptive. So-called holy texts are about religion, not necessarily about God. They are really owners manuals for faith traditions. I am not denouncing them altogether, as I love the Bible and have studied it reverently all my life. But I don't view the Bible as the inspired word OF God as much as the inspired word of men ABOUT God, as they perceive God through their often jaded, human perspectives. Again, I respect these so-called sacred writings. I would just like to see them read and placed in their proper, less idolatrous, place. ~ Carlton D. Pearson
Jaded quotes by Carlton D. Pearson
In any case I just cannot imagine attaching so much importance to any food or treat that I would grow irate or bitter at the mention of the suffering of animals. A pig to me will always seem more important than a pork rind. There is the risk here of confusing realism with cynicism, moral stoicism with moral sloth, of letting oneself become jaded and lazy and self-satisfied
what used to be called an 'appetitive' person. ~ Matthew Scully
Jaded quotes by Matthew Scully
Win or lose, the crows always laughed
the hard, old jaded laughter that came of looking at the world with a black and practiced eye. From the less skillful the laugh might have hinted of despair, or silliness, like the magpies', but the crows were masters of the wry outlook, and Viv never heard them but what she followed their expert lead and laughed along
they knew the secret of black, that it could not be made blacker, and if neither could it be made lighter, it could still be made funnier. ~ Ken Kesey
Jaded quotes by Ken Kesey
Have you ever imagined finding a soul mate, the one?" "Uh?" I consider the question and I'm truly surprised that Chris even thinks about that. He changes his boyfriends and girlfriends every few weeks, and gives no indication he ever wants to be serious with any of them. "A soul mate?" When I was with my boyfriends, I thought I had found him. I'm now too jaded to think that. I have no answer for Chris. I don't want to feel nothing anymore, though. Even when I was wasted on drugs, I wouldn't allow myself to be completely numb. It's probably why I can't ignore Ali while I try hard not to lose my head over him. I don't think I'm good enough for him. I'm still afraid that I'll get hurt if I let myself trust someone again ~ A. Zukowski
Jaded quotes by A. Zukowski
You must feel a certain lack of excitement in these accouncements. No garish posters, no bright lights, none of the paraphernalia with which the entertainment industry whips up a jaded public. But in a day or so these simple notices will begin to take on all the excitement of the shimmering marquee. When there are no signs ten feet high, five feet will do. When there are none five feet high, one foot serves well enough. It isn't the color or brightness or size of a poster which makes it exciting. It's the experiences which have accompanied similar posters in the past. The excitement is a conditioned reflex. Our bulletin board is our Great White Way, and we're dazzled by it. ~ B.F. Skinner
Jaded quotes by B.F. Skinner
Nothing excites jaded Grandmasters more than a theoretical novelty ~ Dominic Lawson
Jaded quotes by Dominic Lawson
Maybe it's the fact the most of the arts here are produced by world-weary and sophisticated older people and then consumed by younger people who not only consume art but study it for clues on how to be cool, hip - and keep in mind that, for kids and younger people, to be hip and cool is the same as to be admired and accepted and included and so Unalone. Forget so-called peer-pressure. It's more like peer-hunger. No? We enter a spiritual puberty where we snap to the fact that the great transcendant horror is loneliness, excluded encagement in the self. Once we've hit this age, we will now give or take anything, wear any mask, to fit, be part-of, not be Alone, we young. The U.S. arts are our guide to inclusion. A how-to. We are shown how to fashion masks of ennui and jaded irony at a young age where the face is fictile enough to assume the shape of whatever it wears. And then it's stuck there, the weary cynicism that saves us from gooey sentiment and unsophisticated naivete. ~ David Foster Wallace
Jaded quotes by David Foster Wallace
Already she feels jaded. Weary, and gladly tired and old. ~ Sylvia Plath
Jaded quotes by Sylvia Plath
Stanton closed the top drawer, opened the second one. "Maybe I'm new, maybe I'll get more jaded. But the law cleared this guy. Period, the end. If you don't like that, change the law. We in law enforcement need to be impartial referees. If the speed limit is fifty-five miles per hour, then you ticket a guy going fifty-six. If you think, nah, don't ticket until he's going sixty-five, then change the law to sixty-five. And it works the other way too. Following the rules, the judge freed Dan Mercer. If you don't like that, change the law. Don't bend the rules. Legally change them." Walker ~ Harlan Coben
Jaded quotes by Harlan Coben
People often yearn back to more innocent times, but more and more, as I get older, I find myself hankering after more jaded days. ~ Julie Burchill
Jaded quotes by Julie Burchill
After three years of English at Cambridge, being force-fed literary theory, I was almost convinced that literature was all coded messages about Marxism and the death of the self. I crawled out of the post-structuralist desert thirsty for heroines I could cry and laugh with. I was jaded. I craved trash. ~ Samantha Ellis
Jaded quotes by Samantha Ellis
Kristy smiles at both of us, the kind of smile that makes Julie Andrews look like a jaded crack whore. ~ Hannah Johnson
Jaded quotes by Hannah Johnson
But the original was there as well - more jaded and rudimentary, functional rather than romantic. It fit not just the yellow house but another door, deep within my own heart. One that had been locked so tight for so long that I was afraid to even try it for fear of what might be on the other side ~ Sarah Dessen
Jaded quotes by Sarah Dessen
Yet she was so sweet. She wasn't a hard-ass, wasn't jaded after all that had been done to her. In bed, she was giving and generous. And she smiled a lot. She seemed to enjoy life.
Whereas he'd been nothing but a giant pain in the ass, taking for granted everything that had been given to him. He'd had it so easy, while his parents had struggled to give him a good life so all he had to do was go out and live his dream.
He and Savannah were as different as night and day. How could she tolerate being around him? He was nothing but a spoiled football player who craved the spotlight. He didn't deserve to be sharing a bed with her. She needed someone who cared for her, who thought of nothing but her, who'd give up everything just to give her the kind of life she deserved.
He sucked in a breath and realized it was time he made some serious life changes. It was time to go all in and stop hesitating about the things he really wanted in his career. In his life.
It was time to start taking some chances. ~ Jaci Burton
Jaded quotes by Jaci Burton
For me, all those systematic Bureaucracies of traditional schools jaded me. For me, I still couldn't understand why we have to have a factory style education for children living in the 21st century. Why hold them in place, asking them to read and repeat and giving them a number of tasks to finish? I still have no idea how exams and objective assessments could measure human behavior or intelligence. Is it some kind of barcoding human aptitude? Is it ethical anyway? ~ Neda Aria
Jaded quotes by Neda Aria
Anything that has cynicism to it and that's jaded is smutty. ~ Sandra Bernhard
Jaded quotes by Sandra Bernhard
Small towns seem to appreciate things a little bit more. They're less jaded and they're more kind of authentic and more themselves and they don't care as much. ~ Pauly Shore
Jaded quotes by Pauly Shore
Boy, oh, boy, people get jaded fast. I got nominated for an Emmy. ~ Noah Wyle
Jaded quotes by Noah Wyle
That's always stuck with me, with music. I've never really gotten jaded about it. I've always loved music for the sake of doing it, and the longer I do it, the more I like it. Hopefully, I'll be able to have that same point of view in this business, or at least with doing this. ~ Slash
Jaded quotes by Slash
I'm trying everything I can not to be jaded 'cause I don't like jaded musicians. ~ John Mayer
Jaded quotes by John Mayer
A cocktail or two, or several, I found, cheered me up for the foolishness of foolish people. A cocktail, or several, before dinner, enabled me to laugh whole-heartedly at things which had long since ceased being laughable. The cocktail was a prod, a spur, a kick, to my jaded mind and bored spirits. ~ Jack London
Jaded quotes by Jack London
I think that as you grow up, as you get older, we can't get bitter, we can't get jaded. ~ Taylor Swift
Jaded quotes by Taylor Swift
Love is just two people
Plastering perfect masks
On each others' faces;
And it only lasts
Until the masks crack
And the fantasy ends. ~ Justin Wetch
Jaded quotes by Justin Wetch
My life has been full of struggles - coming from a troubled home, moving out when I was fifteen, ending up homeless by eighteen. The one thing I always knew was being jaded and bitter was equal to letting life win. ~ Jewel
Jaded quotes by Jewel
Jaded. I never understood the term. Jade is pretty and worth something, yes? I was rusted if I was anything. Too long in the rain. Going out in an orange blaze of muted, anonymous, common-as-dirt oxidation. ~ Trebor Healey
Jaded quotes by Trebor Healey
We now reflexly, and dishonestly, unmask all virtue as hypocritical, all beauty as Kitsch; and have become so jaded with simplicity and wholesomeness that we find Good insipid and crave the sharp stimulus of sin. ~ Bruce G. Charlton
Jaded quotes by Bruce G. Charlton
I think dismissing female pain as overly familiar or somehow out-of-date
twice-told, thrice-told, 1,001-nights-told
masks deeper accusations: that suffering women are playing victim, going weak, or choosing self-indulgence over bravery. I think dismissing wounds offers a convenient excuse: no need to struggle with the listening or telling anymore. Plug it up. Like somehow our task is to inhabit the jaded aftermath of terminal self-awareness once the story of all pain has already been told. ~ Leslie Jamison
Jaded quotes by Leslie Jamison
I have never seen a place like Paris for varieties of sexual provender. as soon as a woman loses a front tooth or an eye or a leg she goes on the lose. In America she'd starve to death if she had nothing to recommend her but a mutilation. Here it is different. A missing tooth or a nose eaten away or a fallen womb, any misfortune that aggravates the natural homeliness of the female, seems to be regarded as an added spice, a stimulant for the jaded appetites of the male. ~ Henry Miller
Jaded quotes by Henry Miller
I find that it's nice to work with somebody and spin off on someone else's feelings. You get a little jaded by yourself. ~ Herb Alpert
Jaded quotes by Herb Alpert
You want your art to be hip and seem cool to people, but a great deal of what passes for hip or cool is now highly commercially driven. And some if it is important art. I think 'The Simpsons' is important art. On the other hand, it's also, in my opinion, relentlessly corrosive to the soul and everything is parodied and everything is ridiculous. Maybe I'm old but for my part I can be steeped in about an hour of it and then I have to walk away and look at a flower.
If there's something to be talked about, that thing is this weird conflict between what my girlfriend calls the 'inner sap,' the part of us that can really wholeheartedly weep at stuff and the part of us that has to live in a world of smart, jaded, sophisticated people and wants very much to be taken seriously by those people. ~ David Foster Wallace
Jaded quotes by David Foster Wallace
Faith means I chose not to know, which is different than ignorance which refuses to know. ~ Craig D. Lounsbrough
Jaded quotes by Craig D. Lounsbrough
I can see her intelligence in every question she asks me and every observation she makes. But st the same time, there's an innocence that makes her completely different from most of the people I've met. She's not cynical or jaded. The streets haven't broken her. They've mad her stronger instead. ~ Marie Lu
Jaded quotes by Marie Lu
Their boredom becomes more and more terrible. They realize that they've been tricked and burn with resentment. Every day of their lives they read the newspapers and went to the movies. Both fed them on lynchings, murder, sex crimes, explosions, wrecks, love nests, fires, miracles, revolutions, war. This daily diet made sophisticates of them. The sun is a joke. Oranges can't titillate their jaded palates. Nothing can ever be violent enough to make taut their slack minds and bodies. They have been cheated and betrayed. They have slaved and saved for nothing. ~ Nathanael West
Jaded quotes by Nathanael West

Until your end
you will never be jaded ~ Lao-Tzu
Jaded quotes by Lao-Tzu
... she just had time to reflect that of all the many ways in which she had anticipated her final moments, crashing airborne into a pack of flying wolves seemed least likely...
Meanwhile the pack of flying wolves had noticed something unusual.
'What's that boss?' Said one of them, who was near the front. But their leader, Skoll, was too intent on opening his jaws wide enough to swallow the sun to hear.
'Looks like a flying pink poodle,' the wolf went on, and this time Skoll did hear.
'A flying pink poodle?' He said, with vast contempt. 'Give me a break Garm."
'No boss, look,' Garm protested. 'It is a flying pink poodle...'
'I told you what would happen if you didn't take your altitude tablets.'
But by now the other wolves were joining in... Skoll heaved a sigh of absolute exasperation. 'First of all,' he said, 'poodles can't fly. And they ain't pink. I-oh.' For now that he had turned he could see Flo, careening erratically towards them upside down with her eyes firmly shut... He had become, over the millennia, almost jaded to novelty. But now he was genuinely astonished. 'Wow," he said. ~ Livi Michael

Few men had been as cavalier and as debauched as the Président, but completely jaded, utterly torpid, all he was left with now was the depravity and turpitude of libertinage. ~ Marquis De Sade
Jaded quotes by Marquis De Sade
If thou fill thy brain with Boston and New York, with fashion and covetousness, and wilt stimulate thy jaded senses with wine and French coffee, thou shalt find no radiance of wisdom in the lonely waste of the pinewoods. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
