We've lost an edge that we used to have in scientific innovation applications to goods to be sold. In many ways, that is also changing in the electronic field. Almost all of the materials that we use now are of advanced technology, I have an iPad and also an iPod, both of which are made in China. Although we have designed them here with Apple, for instance, they are manufactured overseas. ~ Jimmy Carter
Ipads quotes by Jimmy Carter
My biggest vice is playing solitaire on my iPad. It's bad. I mean, it's ridiculous. ~ Diane Von Furstenberg
Ipads quotes by Diane Von Furstenberg
People will tell me, "Oh, my kid watches your show on their iPad, over and over again until they memorize." And I'm like, "Wow, I was that kid watching other shows. That's the coolest!" ~ Andy Samberg
Ipads quotes by Andy Samberg
We have three post-PC devices: the iPod, the iPhone, and the iPad, the revolutionary device that defined a whole new categoryit's outstripping the wildest of predictions. ~ Tim Cook
Ipads quotes by Tim Cook
There was a time when we would pick up Women's Wear Daily and couldn't wait to see what it read. And now, you get it five minutes later on your iPad or your phone! The same has to apply to fashion. ~ Donna Karan
Ipads quotes by Donna Karan
I was one of seven, and we took a lot of road trips - long road trips. And this was before iPhones and iPads and DVD players in cars. I remember how novel it was when I got my own Walkman so I could listen to music. ~ Amy Adams
Ipads quotes by Amy Adams
To my way of thinking, passive management of file assets is okay for screwing around with iPads, where we're mainly watching TV on Netflix or obsessive-compulsively checking the popularity of our Instagram uploads. ~ Jeffrey Zeldman
Ipads quotes by Jeffrey Zeldman
A high-speed connection is no more an essential civil right than 3G cell phone service or a Netflix account. Increasing competition and restoring academic excellence in abysmal public schools is far more of an imperative to minority children than handing them iPads. ~ Michelle Malkin
Ipads quotes by Michelle Malkin
I haven't fully moved over to the iPad. At any given time, I have about four DVDs in my pocket. I'm constantly screening 'Top Chef,' 'Housewives,' and all the other shows we have in development, racing to meet a deadline. So I pretty much bring my laptop everywhere. ~ Andy Cohen
Ipads quotes by Andy Cohen
10 ways to raise a wild child. Not everyone wants to raise wild, free thinking children. But for those of you who do, here's my tips:

1. Create safe space for them to be outside for a least an hour a day. Preferable barefoot & muddy.

2. Provide them with toys made of natural materials. Silks, wood, wool, etc...Toys that encourage them to use their imagination. If you're looking for ideas, Google: 'Waldorf Toys'. Avoid noisy plastic toys. Yea, maybe they'll learn their alphabet from the talking toys, but at the expense of their own unique thoughts. Plastic toys that talk and iPads in cribs should be illegal. Seriously!

3. Limit screen time. If you think you can manage video game time and your kids will be the rare ones that don't get addicted, then go for it. I'm not that good so we just avoid them completely. There's no cable in our house and no video games. The result is that my kids like being outside cause it's boring inside...hah! Best plan ever! No kid is going to remember that great day of video games or TV. Send them outside!

4. Feed them foods that support life. Fluoride free water, GMO free organic foods, snacks free of harsh preservatives and refined sugars. Good oils that support healthy brain development. Eat to live!

5. Don't helicopter parent. Stay connected and tuned into their needs and safety, but don't hover. Kids like adults need space to roam and explore without the constant voice of an adult ~ Brooke Hampton
Ipads quotes by Brooke Hampton
There seemed to be a limitless number of objects in the world that had no practical use but that people wanted to preserve: cell phones with their delicate buttons, iPads, Tyler's Nintendo console, a selection of laptops. There were a number of impractical shoes, stilettos mostly, beautiful and strange. There were three car engines in a row, cleaned and polished, a motorcycle composed mostly of gleaming chrome. Traders brought things for Clark sometimes, objects of no real value that they knew he would like: magazines and newspapers, a stamp collection, coins. There were the passports or the driver's licenses or sometimes the credit cards of people who had lived at the airport and then died. Clark kept impeccable records. ~ Emily St. John Mandel
Ipads quotes by Emily St. John Mandel
Computers tend to separate us from each other - Mum's on the laptop, Dad's on the iPad, teenagers are on Facebook, toddlers are on the DS, and so on. ~ Tom Hodgkinson
Ipads quotes by Tom Hodgkinson
There are traditionalists, and there are people in the middle, which is where I am. I still get my newspaper delivered. I love the ritual of it. But I also jump into the cab when I leave home and I look at some BBC on my iPad. ~ Glenda Bailey
Ipads quotes by Glenda Bailey
Now, as a non-Amish person in the twentieth century who is not a part of the aging and thus noncoveted seventy-five-plus marketing demographic that views things like cell phones and iPads with that quaint, old-people mixture of astonishment, fascination, confusion, and abject fear, I spend as much time pawing my cell phone as members of the postpubescent marketing demographic spend pawing each other and themselves. ~ BikeSnobNYC
Ipads quotes by BikeSnobNYC
Something really big happened in the world's wiring in the last decade, but it was obscured by the financial crisis and post-9/11. We went from a connected world to a hyperconnected world. I'm always struck that Facebook , Twitter, 4G, iPhones, iPads, ubiquitous wireless and Web-enabled cellphones, the cloud, Big Data, cellphone apps and Skype did not exist or were in their infancy a decade ago. ~ Thomas Friedman
Ipads quotes by Thomas Friedman
On the very same day that I ordered an iPad 2, I went shopping to buy myself a letter opener. I like to cover all my bases. ~ Susan Orlean
Ipads quotes by Susan Orlean
Part of creating the future is to follow this consumer. Women are working; we've moved the store to the desk. Now though, she's is in the back of a cab with her iPhone or her iPad, she's tweeting an outfit that her friend is wearing and desperately trying to find out where she got her shoes online. ~ Natalie Massenet
Ipads quotes by Natalie Massenet
Whether I'm on the road or at home, I get a great deal done on elliptical machines. I use my iPad to conquer my email inbox, listen to audio books, use my Voxer Walkie Talkie app, and read through documents. ~ Amy Jo Martin
Ipads quotes by Amy Jo Martin
We're in an inflection point where it's cheaper to learn to read on a tablet computer than it is to learn to read on paper. And that being the case, it's only a matter of time before every 6-year-old kid has a tablet computer, and we know for a fact, 3- to 4-year-old kids are using tablets and iPads, and 75 and 80 year olds are using them. ~ Michael J. Saylor
Ipads quotes by Michael J. Saylor
The other is Shenzhen, the southern city most known for electronics manufacturing - it is the location of the largest Foxconn factory, where iPhones and iPads, among other devices, are assembled. ~ Clay Shirky
Ipads quotes by Clay Shirky
I really love newspapers. They are disposable. They are recyclable. They fall apart so easily. They are not like iPads or Kindles that can't be disposed of and end up on some third-world shore. And I love the heritage of them, the whole history of mass communication. Newspapers changed the world from being a really class based, feudal system to people being able to cheaply get information that informed them. ~ Stanley Donwood
Ipads quotes by Stanley Donwood
It's the combination of marrying a beautiful woman three decades younger and my iPad that keeps me young. ~ Bruce Forsyth
Ipads quotes by Bruce Forsyth
I hate to use that term [iPad Killer] since the iPad is probably dead anyway. ~ John C. Dvorak
Ipads quotes by John C. Dvorak
I find that going to bed without my phone or an iPad makes me sleep better and helps me wake up without obsessing over emails. It makes my day better. ~ Jane Levy
Ipads quotes by Jane Levy
Well, clearly Apple is a role model of the American innovation whereby it produced all these products - iPod, iPhone, iPad - that are really now dominating all the technology arena in the world. ~ Al-Waleed Bin Talal
Ipads quotes by Al-Waleed Bin Talal
There's a new iPad out ... People are going nuts for this thing ... And, today, Mitt Romney said, 'It's a flat piece of white plastic. If you can love it, why not me?' ~ Bill Maher
Ipads quotes by Bill Maher
The iPad! What is better designed than that? I read magazines on it, I play Scrabble. I use it for everything. ~ Diane Von Furstenberg
Ipads quotes by Diane Von Furstenberg
We live in a country where our young ladies who have recently attained the age of puberty cannot afford sanitary pads, but our men and women in public offices have ipads which they do not even know how to use. ~ Patrick L.O. Lumumba
Ipads quotes by Patrick L.O. Lumumba
I live in Portland now. It's beautiful from day one. The Food and the beer, and no sales tax. Get your iPad while you're here. ~ David Giuntoli
Ipads quotes by David Giuntoli
Steve Jobs was notoriously blunt about products he found wanting, but his attack on Flash - Adobe's popular technology for playing multimedia content inside a browser - was particularly vicious. Claiming it was buggy and insecure, Jobs banned it from the iPad. ~ Evgeny Morozov
Ipads quotes by Evgeny Morozov
In a ... media environment that bombards us with all kinds of content and exposes us to all kinds of arguments, some of which don't always rank that high on the truth meter ... Information [can] become a distraction, a diversion, a form of entertainment, rather than a tool of empowerment, rather than the means of emancipation. ~ Barack Obama
Ipads quotes by Barack Obama
So I'm reading a book on my new iPad, but can't the iPad read it for me? Do I have to do everything? ~ Matthew Perry
Ipads quotes by Matthew Perry
On my iPad, and I'm quite a fool for this, but I use Post-It notes to cover up the camera. It's just weird with that little eye there and sometimes it'll be green and I know I didn't turn it on. It's very spooky. ~ Taraji P. Henson
Ipads quotes by Taraji P. Henson
I have got an iPad, what a joy! Van Gogh would have loved it, and he could have written his letters on it as well. ~ David Hockney
Ipads quotes by David Hockney
I'm 52 years old, which means I'm of an age where my reading habits are more or less set. I read plenty of stuff on line but I rely on pretty traditional sources. I'm a newspaper reader, whether in hand or on my iPad. ~ Michael Wilbon
Ipads quotes by Michael Wilbon
Once upon a simpler time, before apps, iPads, Samsung Galaxies, and the world of blazing-fast 4G, weekends were the busiest days of the week at Discount Electronix. Now the kids who used to come in to buy CDs are downloading Vampire Weekend from iTunes, while their elders are surfing eBay or watching the TV shows they missed on Hulu. ~ Stephen King
Ipads quotes by Stephen King
I read a lot, that's my main hobby. I've got an iPad which I store books on and I read voraciously. I'm a slow reader but I'm obsessive. I make references, underline things, cross-reference. I'm an autodidact. ~ Anthony Hopkins
Ipads quotes by Anthony Hopkins
In terms of e-books, though, I haven't quite gotten to the bottom of it yet, but for some reason everybody I know seems to want to engage me on that topic, or convert me. I think there are a lot of people who just want to hear me embrace e-books or finally say, 'OK, I bought an iPad and it's awesome! There are a lot of people who would get a kick out of it, that's for sure. ~ Adrian Tomine
Ipads quotes by Adrian Tomine
Until I saw my drawings replayed on the iPad, I'd never seen myself draw. Someone watching me would be concentrating on the exact moment, but I'd always be thinking a little bit ahead. That's especially so in a drawing where you are limiting yourself, a line drawing for example. When you are doing them you are very tense, because you have to reduce everything to such simple terms. ~ David Hockney
Ipads quotes by David Hockney
Under [Tim] Cook, Apple has a new product line with the Apple Watch, but it hasn't generated the kind of excitement that the iPod, iPhone or iPad did. Still, Cook can't be called a failure. Under his leadership, the company released a larger version of the iPhone to record sales. ~ Laura Sydell
Ipads quotes by Laura Sydell
Dell Computers announced they're releasing a competitor for the iPad. Now it is, in fact, a great alternative for people who already have an iPad, but are fed up with it working all the time. ~ Craig Ferguson
Ipads quotes by Craig Ferguson
In a world of iPads and emails, nothing has really changed in the theatre. You still get in an hour early, do your wardrobe, put an old pair of tights under your wig, and you have, 'This is your call, Miss Jensen'. I got exhilarated by that. ~ Ashley Jensen
Ipads quotes by Ashley Jensen
Some news organizations made a mistake with the iPad in saying, 'Oh, it's a big iPhone.' The fact is the way people use the tablet versus the iPhone is so completely different which is why our iPhone and iPad apps look nothing alike. ~ Vivian Schiller
Ipads quotes by Vivian Schiller
I'm so excited about the new iPad, I just iPeed my iPants. ~ Craig Ferguson
Ipads quotes by Craig Ferguson
Dungeons & Dragons was like that. Forget that half the kids in school probably went around slaying dragons and stashing loot on their PlayStations or iPads. It's different when you actually have to roll the dice. ~ John David Anderson
Ipads quotes by John David Anderson
Especially with iPhones, iPads and apps, there's just so much detachment that you're just flicking your fingers on a smooth surface to get the weather or whatever. ~ Tristan Perich
Ipads quotes by Tristan Perich
I very much want to be in the business of creating content, of doing stories all over the world rather than figuring out what the business model is for 'Newsweek' on the iPad, although that's very important work as well. ~ Fareed Zakaria
Ipads quotes by Fareed Zakaria
We all want to spend eternity with God. We just don't want to spend time with Him. We stand and stare from a distance, satisfied with superficiality. We Facebook more than we seek His face. We text more than we study The Text. And our eyes aren't fixed on Jesus. They're fixed on our iPhones and iPads - emphasis on "i." Then we wonder why God feels so distant. It's because we're hugging the rim. We wonder why we're bored with our faith. It's because we're holding out.

We want joy without sacrifice.

We want character without suffering.

We want success without failure.

We want gain without pain.

We want a testimony without the test.

We want it all without going all out for it. ~ Mark Batterson
Ipads quotes by Mark Batterson
People with a lot of money aren't in the business of throwing it away, and those paying footballers' wages, organising parking spaces for dead sharks, and even, dare I say it, buying iPads, are doing it because, for them, it's worth the money. ~ Ian Watson
Ipads quotes by Ian Watson
I got invited to what's called the Gifting Suite in Toronto. I had the day off, so I thought I'd go and see what's what. You come out laden with wonderful stuff. Apparently, if you go to the Oscars, you get given things like iPads. Not that I'm in it for the swag. ~ Lesley Manville
Ipads quotes by Lesley Manville
To recount modern life one has to have characters with iPads and smart phones who take trains and planes, and to be aware how this alters consciousness, identity, and the kind of experiences people have. They are constantly exposed to contact from everyone they know and many they don't. ~ Tim Parks
Ipads quotes by Tim Parks
The iPad remains Apple's second bestselling product - all the more reason why the iPad Pro needs to be "big" in every sense of the word. ~ Tim Cook
Ipads quotes by Tim Cook
There are people with their iPads are taking pictures so much that they're not experiencing the moment. They go home and look at the pictures later. ~ Dick Van Dyke
Ipads quotes by Dick Van Dyke
In truth, the cinema as a delivery system obviously has its days numbered. And that's not a bad thing. When you can buy any book in the world on your iPad, or off Amazon, you don't go the public library. The public library becomes about homeless gentlemen sleeping in chairs. ~ William Monahan
Ipads quotes by William Monahan
In the past, missionaries have traveled to far countries with the message of the gospel - with great hardship and often with the loss of life. In contrast, we can reach millions instantly from the comfort of our homes by merely hitting the 'send' button on our computers, or with iPads, or phones. ~ Ray Comfort
Ipads quotes by Ray Comfort
I just feel like making things solar-powered and wind-powered should be as easy as using an iPad. ~ Bjork
Ipads quotes by Bjork
I feel like a Mac store! I have a Canadian iPhone, an American iPhone and an iPad. I'm constantly downloading music to iTunes. ~ Jennifer Morrison
Ipads quotes by Jennifer Morrison
We don't go further than what Marx called the exchange value of the actual object- we don't think about the relations that that object embodies- and were important to the production of that object, whether it's our food or our clothes or our iPads or all the materials we use to acquire an education at an institution like this. That would really be revolutionary to develop a habit of imagining the human relations and non-human relations behind all of the objects that constitute our environment. ~ Angela Davis
Ipads quotes by Angela Davis
Do SMART Boards and iPads really change pedagogy for the millions of students institutionally ostracized based on their race, religion, or gender? Or are they merely Band-Aids that can be used to say, "Oh look, we did something and we never had to get our hands dirty to make it happen"? ~ Jose Vilson
Ipads quotes by Jose Vilson
I love my iPad. I'll see television shows that I have missed and I'll download them through iTunes. If there is an older movie that I want to watch right away, I can download that movie and watch it. ~ Joel Silver
Ipads quotes by Joel Silver
Until you get the family unit back together, we have no hope and we'll never dig ourselves out of this hole. No matter how great the school is, how excellent the teachers are, how many computers, field trips, or other window dressing there is, until you have intact families that give a s***, we're doomed. If you have chalk, pencils, and a roof that doesn't leak, you've got a school. Back in the day people would do stuff by candlelight on the prairie and are a f***load smarter than kids now despite all the iPads and online homework. Why? Because if they didn't read their assignment, their parents would take the ruler they were supposed to be using for that assignment and smack them with it. We don't need to keep throwing money at the problem, we need to throw parents at the problem. ~ Adam Carolla
Ipads quotes by Adam Carolla
If you're watching a film on your television, is it no longer a film because you're not watching it in a theatre? If you watch a TV show on your iPad, is it no longer a TV show? The device and the length are irrelevant; the labels are useless, except perhaps to agents and managers and lawyers, who use these labels to conduct business deals. ~ Kevin Spacey
Ipads quotes by Kevin Spacey
I like newspapers. Maybe the iPad is very modern and everything, and I'm not against it, but I like the physical contact. And the physical contact of metal and glass is not as sensuous as paper. ~ Karl Lagerfeld
Ipads quotes by Karl Lagerfeld
Being effortless is the coolest thing in the world ~ Stella McCartney
Ipads quotes by Stella McCartney
It's interesting that the book publishing industry, on the iPad, has much more flexibility than the music industry had. ~ Edgar Bronfman, Jr.
Ipads quotes by Edgar Bronfman, Jr.
We sold more iPads in the last quarter alone than any PC manufacturer sold in their entire line. ~ Tim Cook
Ipads quotes by Tim Cook
I like to put my iPad on the window and leave it there for however long the journey is, so that I'm staring out, and it's staring out. We're kind of staring out together. It's very poetic to me, watching that absent-minded passing of time. You realize how much you've taken in. What is left of that memory of you staring out of the window for an hour? It's all on the iPad. ~ Damon Albarn
Ipads quotes by Damon Albarn
I see parents now at every one of my kids' events holding iPhones and iPads in front of their faces. It might be fun to look at those videos years down the road....But it;s definitely bad for the parents. Just be there in the moment, instead of missing it by trying to capture it. That's what your kid really wants They want you to be paying attention. ~ Adam Carolla
Ipads quotes by Adam Carolla
With iPad publishing, you can try new things, experiment, and even launch new magazines without the massive risk normally associated with print publishing. The future is digital, so there will be a digital version of everything we do going forward. There has to be. The cheese has been moved. ~ Scott Kelby
Ipads quotes by Scott Kelby
I went to college somewhere between the invention of the iPad and the discovery of fire ... but I had gone to a women's college. ~ Madeleine Albright
Ipads quotes by Madeleine Albright
The iPad is a superior consumption device for material on the Web. ~ Mike McCue
Ipads quotes by Mike McCue
I'm not terribly technological. I'm awfully backward about iPads and BlackBerries and suchlike; I still have a great fondness for Teletext, and I clung onto my fax machine for as long as I could, but eventually you have to move with the times. ~ David Tang
Ipads quotes by David Tang
If you want to run an ad on the iPad, it has to be approved by Apple. ~ Carol Bartz
Ipads quotes by Carol Bartz
Accept that the moment you buy your latest iPad, iPhone, tablet, app or game it will be promptly followed by a vastly improved and sleeker looking version. ~ Simon Mainwaring
Ipads quotes by Simon Mainwaring
I don't think there is one size that fits all [] I've been to too many meetings with journalists who spent the first 10 minutes of the meeting setting up iPad to look like a laptop. ~ Steve Ballmer
Ipads quotes by Steve Ballmer
Most people kept to themselves, content with their computers, iPads, cellphones and the filtered, touch-free cybersphere that had replaced the simple arts of introduction and conversation. No one wanted to talk to you, and you were expected to not want to talk to them. At least not outside the social constructs set aside for such purposes. ~ James N. Cook
Ipads quotes by James N. Cook
You know, I have a lot of books on my iPad, but when I try to read them, I find myself wandering off to play games. Those are books I'm interested in. I can't imagine what would have happened to me in college if my biology class had been on the same computer as 'Words With Friends' and 'Doom.' ~ Gail Collins
Ipads quotes by Gail Collins
On Apple's special store for the Chinese market, apps related to the Dalai Lama are censored, as is one containing information about the exiled Uighur dissident leader Rebiya Kadeer. Apple similarly censors apps for iPads sold in China. ~ Rebecca MacKinnon
Ipads quotes by Rebecca MacKinnon
A six year old can probably do more on their iPad than you can do and access more. My daughter's swiping away windows and doing all these things that I don't know how to do. ~ Patricia Arquette
Ipads quotes by Patricia Arquette
All of a sudden, if you think about the entire ecosystem of connected devices that can pull down information, access content and allow me to share and work and communicate, the vast majority now are not Windows computers. They are iPhones. They are iPads. They are Android devices. ~ Aaron Levie
Ipads quotes by Aaron Levie
Let's overwhelm the Castro regime with iPhones, iPads, American cars and American ingenuity. ~ Rand Paul
Ipads quotes by Rand Paul
Here's what an e-reader is. A battery operated slab, about a pound, one half-inch thick, perhaps an aluminum border, rubberized back, plastic, metal, silicon, a bit of gold, plus rare metals such as columbite-tantalite (Google it) ripped from the earth, often in war-torn Africa. To make one e-reader requires 33 pounds of minerals, plus 79 gallons of water to produce the battery and printed writing and refine the minerals. The production of other e-reading devices such as cell phones, iPads and whatever new gizmo will pop up (and down) in the years ahead is similar. "The adverse health impacts from making one e-reader are estimated to be 70 times greater than those for making a single book," says the Times. Then you figure that the one hundred million e-readers will be outmoded in short order--to be replaced by one hundred million new and improved devices in the years ahead that will likewise be replace by new models ad infinitum, and you realize an environmental disaster is at hand. ~ Bill Henderson
Ipads quotes by Bill Henderson
The iPad - is that a phone or a computer? If I put it on my wall is it a TV? ~ Chad Hurley
Ipads quotes by Chad Hurley
The people I bring out of suspension to populate my town won't have Facebook or iPhones, iPads, Twitter, next-day delivery. They'll interact like our species used to. Face-to-face. And ~ Blake Crouch
Ipads quotes by Blake Crouch
What I discovered all over Ireland is that people living simple lives by the sea or in the remote countryside seem a lot calmer than city folk with their iPads and their Android phones. ~ James Nesbitt
Ipads quotes by James Nesbitt
I'm carrying an iPhone 5. I like this device. It's been impressive. I have a Windows and an Android device ... I carry an iPad. I carry a Kindle ... Yeah, I have a lot of devices. ~ Randall L. Stephenson
Ipads quotes by Randall L. Stephenson
How absurd that our students tuck their cell phones, BlackBerrys, iPads, and iPods into their backpacks when they enter a classroom and pull out a tattered textbook. ~ Eli Broad
Ipads quotes by Eli Broad
