Daddy in his infinite knowledge always saw the roots and not the flowers. He took all the watches of the world apart and never knew what time it was. ~ Bette Davis
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Bette Davis
The visible world is the invisible organization of energy. ~ Heinz Pagels
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Heinz Pagels
Infinite knowledge can never wonder. All wonder is the effect of novelty upon ignorance. ~ Harold Bloom
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Harold Bloom
Someday in the distant cyborg future, when our internal and external memories fully merge, we may come to possess infinite knowledge. But that's not the same thing as wisdom. ~ Joshua Foer
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Joshua Foer
Knowledge is the most prized commodity in the entire universe, and it is infinite in its commodity. ~ Suzy Kassem
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Suzy Kassem
It didn't help when he told David that his mother would always be with him, even if he couldn't see her. An unseen mother couldn't go for long walks with you on summer evenings, drawing the names of trees and flowers from her seemingly infinite knowledge of nature; or help you with your homework, the familiar scent of her in your nostrils as she leaned in to correct a misspelling or puzzle over the meaning of an unfamiliar poem; or read with you on cold Sunday afternoons when the fire ~ David Nicholls
Infinite Knowledge quotes by David Nicholls
The apprehension of God's infinite knowledge should fill the Christian with adoration. The whole of my life stood open to His view from the beginning. He foresaw my every fall, my every sin, my every backsliding; yet, nevertheless, fixed His heart upon me. Oh, how the realization of this should bow me in wonder and worship before Him! ~ Arthur W. Pink
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Arthur W. Pink
If you can think that infinite power, infinite knowledge and indomitable energy lie within you, and if you can bring out that power, you also can become like me. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Swami Vivekananda
The infinite library of the Universe is in your mind. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Swami Vivekananda
It is philosophically impossible to be an atheist, since to be an atheist you must have infinite knowledge in order to know absolutely that there is no God. But to have infinite knowledge, you would have to be God yourself. It's hard to be God yourself and an atheist at the same time! ~ Ron Carlson
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Ron Carlson
To sustain the belief that there is no God, atheism has to demonstrate infinite knowledge, which is tantamount to saying, I have infinite knowledge that there is no being in existence with infinite knowledge ~ Ravi Zacharias
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Ravi Zacharias
Only idiots get bored when we've all got handheld devices containing infinite knowledge at our fingertips. ~ Ziad K. Abdelnour
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Ziad K. Abdelnour
The only safe guide is the Bible. It is the revelation of a God who has infinite knowledge and can therefore give you absolute truth. God has given you a revelation that is robust and complete. It presents an accurate and comprehensive picture of children, parents, family life, values, training, nurture, and discipline - all you need to be equipped for the task of parenting. ~ Tedd Tripp
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Tedd Tripp
The goal of mankind is knowledge ... Now this knowledge is inherent in man. No knowledge comes from outside: it is all inside. What we say a man 'knows', should, in strict psychological language, be what he 'discovers' or 'unveils'; what man 'learns' is really what he discovers by taking the cover off his own soul, which is a mine of infinite knowledge. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Swami Vivekananda
In one such shop I saw lots of books in the window. I was reminded that humans have to read books. They actually need to sit down and look at each word consecutively. And that takes time. Lots of time. A human can't just swallow every book going, can't chew different tomes simultaneously, or gulp down near-infinite knowledge in a matter of seconds. They can't just pop a word-capsule in their mouth like we can. Imagine! Being not only mortal but also forced to take some of that precious and limited time and read. No wonder they were a species of primitives. By the time they had read enough books to actually reach a state of knowledge where they can do anything with it they are dead. ~ Matt Haig
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Matt Haig
What is now wanted is a combination of the greatest heart with the highest intellectuality, of infinite love with infinite knowledge. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Swami Vivekananda
There are three subjects on which the knowledge of the medical profession in general is woefully weak; they are manners, morals, and medicine. ~ Gerald F. Lieberman
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Gerald F. Lieberman
The stumbling way in which even the ablest of the scientists in every generation have had to fight through thickets of erroneous observations, misleading generalizations, inadequate formulation, and unconscious prejudice is rarely appreciated by those who obtain their scientific knowledge from textbooks. ~ James Bryant Conant
Infinite Knowledge quotes by James Bryant Conant
One must always proceed with method. I made an error of judgment asking you that question. Toeach man his own knowledge. You could tell me the details of the patient's physical appearance- nothing there would escape you. If I wanted information about the papers on the desk, Mr. Raymond would have noticed anything there was to see. To find out about the fire, I must ask the man whose business is to observe such things. - Detective Hercule Poirot to Doctor Sheppard ~ Agatha Christie
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Agatha Christie
There is nothing which can better deserve our patronage than the promotion of science and literature. Knowledge is in every country the surest basis of public happiness. ~ George Washington
Infinite Knowledge quotes by George Washington
But nature flies from the infinite; for the infinite is imperfect, and nature always seeks an end. ~ Aristotle.
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Aristotle.
Instinct is something which transcends knowledge ~ Nikola Tesla
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Nikola Tesla
Women have full equality with men before the Lord. By nature, the roles of women differ from those of men. This knowledge has come to us with the Restoration of the gospel in the fullness of times, with an acknowledgment that women are endowed with the great responsibilities of motherhood and nurturing. ~ James E. Faust
Infinite Knowledge quotes by James E. Faust
He who uses trickery should at least make use of his judgment to learn that he can scarcely hide treacherous conduct for very long among clever men who are determined to find him out, although they may pretend to be deceived in order to disguise their knowledge of his deceitfulness. ~ Madeleine De Souvre, Marquise De ...
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Madeleine De Souvre, Marquise De ...
No art takes places without inspiration. Every artist also needs effective knowledge of his or her tools (e.g., does a certain brush function well with a particular kind of paint?). What's more, artists need effective techniques for using those tools.
Likewise, to express ourselves skillfully with maximum efficiency and minimum effort, we need to investigate the most effective ways of using the mind and body since, in the end, they are the only "tools" we truly possess in life. ~ H. E. Davey, Japanese Yoga: The Way Of Dynamic Meditation
Infinite Knowledge quotes by H. E. Davey, Japanese Yoga: The Way Of Dynamic Meditation
You couldn't drop knowledge if you threw an Encyclopedia off a cliff. ~ Celph Titled
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Celph Titled
All the world talks, knowledge or information, takes you nowhere unless it's applied into life. It's only the experience, which allows you to see, beyond the present state. ~ Roshan Sharma
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Roshan Sharma
True knowledge of God and of the secret of his wisdom comes from faith, because the obedience of faith opens to us the gate of the Kingdom of Heaven. ~ John Calvin
Infinite Knowledge quotes by John Calvin
The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it while the conditions are still unfavourable. Favourable conditions never come. ~ C.S. Lewis
Infinite Knowledge quotes by C.S. Lewis
What is wrong with you?" I say in lieu of greeting. "You went to Morris's dorm and declared your intentions?"

He offers a faint smile. "Of course. It was the noble thing to do. I can't be chasing after another guy's girl without his knowledge."

"I'm not his girl," I snap. "We went on one date! And now I'm never going to be his girl, because he doesn't want to go out with me again."

"What the hell?" Logan looks startled. "I'm disappointed in him. I thought he had more of a competitive spirit than that."

"Seriously? You're going to pretend to be surprised? He won't see me again because your jackass self told him he couldn't."

Astonishment fills his eyes. "No, I didn't."

"Yes, you did."

"Is that what he told you?" Logan demands.

"Not in so many words."

"I see. Well, what words did he actually use?"

I grit my teeth so hard my jaw aches. "He said he's backing off because he doesn't want to get in the middle of something so complicated. I pointed out that there's nothing complicated about it, seeing as you and I are not together." My aggravation heightens. "And then he insisted that I need to give you a chance, because you're a - " I angrily air-quote Morris's words " - 'stand-up guy who deserves another shot.'"

Logan breaks out in a grin.

I stab the air with my finger. "Don't you dare smile. Obviously you put those words in his mouth. And what the hel ~ Elle Kennedy
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Elle Kennedy
1Out of the stump of David's family* will grow a shoot - yes, a new Branch bearing fruit from the old root. 2And the Spirit of the LORD will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. 3He will delight in obeying the LORD. He will not judge by appearance nor make a decision based on hearsay. 4He will give justice to the poor and make fair decisions for the exploited. The earth will shake at the force of his word, and one breath from his mouth will destroy the wicked. 5He will wear righteousness like a belt and truth like an undergarment. ~ Anonymous
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Anonymous
After I discovered the real life of mothers bore little resemblance to the plot outlined in most of the books and articles I'd read, I started relying on the expert advice of other mothers
especially those with sons a few years older than mine. This great body of knowledge is essentially an oral history, because anyone engaged in motherhood on a daily basis has no time to write an advice book about it. ~ Mary Blakely
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Mary Blakely
How can there be any progress of the country without the spread of education, the dawning of knowledge? ~ Swami Vivekananda
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Swami Vivekananda
If one is to rule, and to continue ruling, one must be able to dislocate the sense of reality. ~ George Orwell
Infinite Knowledge quotes by George Orwell
The interaction of knowledge and skills with experience is key to learning. ~ John Dewey
Infinite Knowledge quotes by John Dewey
We are shallow because we are 'mayabang,' ego driven, and do not have the humility to understand that we are only human, much too human to mistake knowledge for wisdom. ~ F. Sionil Jose
Infinite Knowledge quotes by F. Sionil Jose
Everything that we call Invention or Discovery in the higher sense of the word is the serious exercise and activity of an original feeling for truth, which, after a long course of silent cultivation, suddenly flashes out into fruitful knowledge. ~ Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
Knowledge always desires increase, it is like fire, which must first be kindled by some external agent, but which will afterwards propagate itself. ~ Samuel Johnson
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Samuel Johnson
One female who knows what to do
is better than a thousand males who don't. ~ Mihri Hatun
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Mihri Hatun
There is no more compelling motivation to worthwhile endeavor than the knowledge that we are children of God, that God expects us to do something with our lives, and that He will give us help when help is sought. ~ Gordon B. Hinckley
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Gordon B. Hinckley
Devote what time I may still have to live to no other occupation than that of endeavoring to acquire some knowledge of Nature, which shall be of such a kind as to enable us there from to deduce rules in medicine of greater certainty than those in present use. ~ Russell Shorto
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Russell Shorto
Everyone we interact with has the capacity to surprise us in an infinite number of ways. What can first open us up to each of our innate capacities for love is merely to recognize that. ~ Sharon Salzberg
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Sharon Salzberg
It is much more challenging to accept those who know a lot than those who know little. ~ Eraldo Banovac
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Eraldo Banovac
This emptiness - infinite darkness, infinite stillness, trapped alone with only his own mind - was what had always waited for him all his life, in spite of the blessings and benedictions of the Church, in spite of his sins and occasional semi-sincere repentance. ~ George R R Martin
Infinite Knowledge quotes by George R R Martin
Ever since Sir Isaac Newton's times, scientists have worked in the same sort of way: They show a great respect for experiment and observation, They don't cherry pick data, They take a skeptical approach to what they do. And then scientists work together to get a consensus as to what should be believed And that generates very reliable knowledge and that reliable knowledge drives innovation ~ Paul Nurse
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Paul Nurse
As psychologist Bruce Hood writes in his book The Self Illusion, you have an origin story and a sense that you've traveled from youth to now along a linear path, with ups and downs that ultimately made you who you are today. Babies don't have that. That sense is built around events that you can recall and place in time. Babies and small children have what Hood calls "unconscious knowledge," which is to say they simply recognize patterns and make associations with stimuli. Without episodic memories, there is no narrative; and without any narrative, there is no self. Somewhere between ages two and three, according to Hood, that sense of self begins to come online, and that awakening corresponds with the ability to tell a story about yourself based on memories. He points to a study by Alison Gopnik and Janet Astington in 1988 in which researchers presented to three-year-olds a box of candy, but the children were then surprised to find pencils inside instead of sweets. When they asked each child what the next kid would think was in the box when he or she went through the same experiment, the answer was usually pencils. The children didn't yet know that other people have minds, so they assumed everyone knew what they knew. Once you gain the ability to assume others have their own thoughts, the concept of other minds is so powerful that you project it into everything: plants, glitchy computers, boats with names, anything that makes more sense to you when you can assume, even joking ~ David McRaney
Infinite Knowledge quotes by David McRaney
Everyone without exception has something to learn. Any person no matter what his status or position is in society can become a source of necessary knowledge. ~ Sunday Adelaja
Infinite Knowledge quotes by Sunday Adelaja
