I tried, I really tried, to stick with it. I planned to grow old with this man and possibly die in his arms. ~ Brenda Perlin
Home Wrecker quotes by Brenda Perlin
Memorial Day isn't just about honoring veterans, its honoring those who lost their lives. Veterans had the fortune of coming home. For us, that's a reminder of when we come home we still have a responsibility to serve. It's a continuation of service that honors our country and those who fell defending it. ~ Pete Hegseth
Home Wrecker quotes by Pete Hegseth
Locking up the house - their home - and driving away. The only slightly good news was that they weren't selling it. Someday, Dad promised, they'd return. The big things - furniture, art, ~ Kristin Hannah
Home Wrecker quotes by Kristin Hannah
My father was always depressed. When he was home and sober, he was mostly in his room. ~ Sherman Alexie
Home Wrecker quotes by Sherman Alexie
I went home that day, and I wrote your name over and over on a piece of paper. I must have written it a hundred times. My mom found the paper a few days later in my sock drawer. She wanted to know why I'd done that ... "
I wanted to know why more than anything I'd ever remembered wanting, but a part of me hoped he'd chicken out.
"I told her I liked the way your name made my heart jump. ~ Gwen Hayes
Home Wrecker quotes by Gwen Hayes
An entirely new factor has appeared in the social development of the country, and this factor is the Irish-American, and his influence. To mature its powers, to concentrate its action, to learn the secret of its own strength and of England's weakness, the Celtic intellect has had to cross the Atlantic. At home it had but learned the pathetic weakness of nationality; in a strange land it realised what indomitable forces nationality possesses. What captivity was to the Jews, exile has been to the Irish: America and American influence have educated them. ~ Oscar Wilde
Home Wrecker quotes by Oscar Wilde
America's humanitarian concern for foreign victims of natural disasters or civil strife is being abused by President Bush when he extends legal status to foreigners in the US when there is no reason that they could not go home safely. ~ Dan J. Stein
Home Wrecker quotes by Dan J. Stein
By becoming aware of the dignity of the mind, we realize the true ground of the dignity of man and therewith the goodness of the world, whither we understand it as created or uncreated, which is the home of man because it is the home of the human mind. ~ Leo Strauss
Home Wrecker quotes by Leo Strauss
It was the most pleasurable thing I've ever done, playing this character, and I just remember feeling so at home and so - I don't know, I was just happy - and it just wasn't ever work! It was like a sandbox for me, and I would crack myself up rehearsing. ~ Jenna Elfman
Home Wrecker quotes by Jenna Elfman
Playing baseball for pay - home run
Teaching kids to play the game - priceless ~ Jack Perconte
Home Wrecker quotes by Jack Perconte
Every walk carves out a new city. And each of these tiny cities has its main square, a downtown area all its own, its own memorial statue, its own landmarks, laundromats, bus terminal - in short, its own focal point (from the Latin word focus, meaning fireplace, hearth, foyer, home), warm spot, sweet spot, soft spot, hot spot. ~ Andre Aciman
Home Wrecker quotes by Andre Aciman
I traveled for seven years, and when I came back home I was completely lost. I didn't know what to do with my life, so I decided to let people decide for me. For month I followed strangers on the street. For the pleasure of following, not because the party interested me. I photographed them without their knowledge, took note of their movements, and finally lost sight of them. At the end of January 1980, I chose a man and followed him to Venice. That's how I started. That's all. ~ Sophie Calle
Home Wrecker quotes by Sophie Calle
We should at least stay for the sunset," Mike suggested. "There's nothing like a Pacific sunset. Would you like that?" "I would. Do you think I should call Jack? Let him know?" Mike shrugged. "I don't know what kind of arrangement you two have. Would he be worried if you're not home before dark?" Remembering her brother's dark mood in the morning, the way he'd tried to warn her off Mike, she almost said that Jack would be especially worried tonight. But instead she said, "As a courtesy, I'll give him a call. I'm really having too much fun to go back yet." He touched her cheek with the back of a knuckle. "Are you, Brie?" he asked softly. "You don't have to ask." She smiled. "There's ~ Robyn Carr
Home Wrecker quotes by Robyn Carr
I can tell you who's planning terroris attacks. The leaders of ISIL. And I can tell you where they're at. They're in Raqqa, Syria. So for God's sakes, Mr. President Barack Obama , change your strategy. Come up with a ground force to go in and destroy the caliphate before we get hit here at home. That would be my advice to you. ~ Rand Paul
Home Wrecker quotes by Rand Paul
'Ozzy, is it true you got busted for pissing on the Alamo?' he asked me.
'Yeah,' I told him. 'It's true.'
'Shit, man,' he said. 'We piss on it every night on our way home.' ~ Ozzy Osbourne
Home Wrecker quotes by Ozzy Osbourne
I'm not a victim of sexual abuse. I'm not from a broken home. I've never killed anyone before, or watched anyone get killed, not in real life anyway. I guess I am just a little bit sick. I can't help if it turns me on, both physically and mentally. I guess I just like what I'm not meant to see, I guess I just like the taboo. ~ Stella Noir
Home Wrecker quotes by Stella Noir
At twenty years old, Michael had vague plans to make changes in his life, but turning blue whilst stood in a walk-in bath in an old people's home wasn't one of them. Usually boys of his age might consider changes along the lines of smoking less grass at home, at college or at work, to be a good idea. Or maybe spending less time on that solitary pursuit common to men of his age across the globe. Enjoyable though he found it, he was going to cut back on the procrastination, but that was going to have to wait. ~ Dylan Perry
Home Wrecker quotes by Dylan Perry
Xav!
Got you. Not letting you go.
I realised I wasn't alone in mental deep space; he had always been there and could pilot me home. ~ Joss Stirling
Home Wrecker quotes by Joss Stirling
Thank you for bringing me home. ~ Lara Adrian
Home Wrecker quotes by Lara Adrian
I'm an afternoon tea type of girl. I come from a Russian background where we love our teas. So between lunch and dinner after training I come home and I love a nice cup of tea with jam in it, as we drink it there. Black English Breakfast with raspberry jam is my favorite. ~ Maria Sharapova
Home Wrecker quotes by Maria Sharapova
I stay home. It's the best place to be alone. There is hardly any walk-through traffic. ~ Kumail Nanjiani
Home Wrecker quotes by Kumail Nanjiani
Home Depot knows 'the more they help, the more they sell'-oh by the way, for the 'bottom liners' who disagree-it's also vice-versa. ~ Jeffrey Gitomer
Home Wrecker quotes by Jeffrey Gitomer
My husband is in charge of all phone, email and texting duties at home. He even has to turn on the TV and air conditioning because I'm so hopeless with technology. ~ Becki Newton
Home Wrecker quotes by Becki Newton
I am pretty much as you see me. I don't have deep, dark depths and go home in despair. ~ Deirdre O'Kane
Home Wrecker quotes by Deirdre O'Kane
Sometimes just making yourself at home is revolutionary. ~ Paul Beatty
Home Wrecker quotes by Paul Beatty
I'll drive you home."
"On your white horse?"
"In my red truck. ~ Rainbow Rowell
Home Wrecker quotes by Rainbow Rowell
Sometimes silences are pregnant and sometimes not. It is hard to know what to make of the silence of much of the New Testament about the Lord's Supper. Perhaps it is simply an accident of time and circumstance. There was not a felt need to address the matter. What we should not likely conclude is that it was not seen as an important matter in the latter part of the first century A.D. What we can observe is that the Lord's Supper continued to be an in-home ceremony taken in the context of a fellowship meal. We also now know it was important in both Gentile and Jewish contexts in the church in the second half of the first century, and beyond. We see no evidence anywhere in this material that clerics of any kind are in charge of the meal and its distribution. Even in the Didache, prophets, who were mouthpieces for God, are only allowed to say the thanksgiving prayer as often as they like. The low ecclesiology, coupled with the ever-present eschatology, suggest that the Didache does indeed go back to the end of the first century A.D. But one precedent in the Didache does stand out: the Lord's Supper is for baptized Christians, and in particular for those who repent of their sins. We are on the way to the church of the Middle Ages in some respects, but we have not begun to localize or confine grace to the elements of the Lord's Supper itself and then have it controlled by clerics. ~ Ben Witherington III
Home Wrecker quotes by Ben Witherington III
If humanity today succeeds in combining the new scientific capacities with a strong ethical dimension, it will certainly be able to promote the environment as a home and a resource for ... all ... and will be able to eliminate the causes of pollution and to guarantee adequate conditions of hygiene and health for small groups as well as for vast human settlements. ~ Pope John Paul II
Home Wrecker quotes by Pope John Paul II
One thing you gotta know about Roy. The way I always saw myself, is I'm just like you. In the ring, I have a gift ... That gift ain't on the basketball court. That gift ain't at home. You understand me? That gift is in the ring. ~ Roy Jones Jr.
Home Wrecker quotes by Roy Jones Jr.
…before he left home, he broke his name. Broke it into thirty-eight tiny pieces… He swept up all the pieces of who he was and tucked them away in an inside pocket. And over the years, as he met people who ended up sharing the road with him, travelling with him for a while, he would quietly give each of them a piece of his name… with all the jigsaw pieces of his name scattered about, they wouldn't be able to get all of him when they came to take him away. ~ Kate Orman
Home Wrecker quotes by Kate Orman
Returning home is the most difficult part of long-distance hiking; You have grown outside the puzzle and your piece no longer fits. ~ Cindy Ross
Home Wrecker quotes by Cindy Ross
Political leaders and presidents were shot at or assassinated about as often as rap artists are today. An unpopular war cost fifty-eight thousand American lives. Those who bravely served our country returned home to be treated with unwarranted scorn. Promiscuous sex and hallucinatory drugs were celebrated as the path to enlightenment. Race riots set major cities aflame. Police were called pigs. And no one over the age of thirty was to be trusted. Worse, some people wore leisure suits - in public - and they were proud of it. ~ Larry Osborne
Home Wrecker quotes by Larry Osborne
I spent twenty-two seasons playing professional baseball. Naturally, success in that field is measured by batting averages, number of home runs and RBIs, fielding averages, ERAs and other statistics. Fame, notoriety and the bright lights fade quickly. To me, true success in life would be to develop both physically and spiritually to our fullest and to endure to the end! ~ Harmon Killebrew
Home Wrecker quotes by Harmon Killebrew
Behind our unremarkable front door waits the little world of our making - our home. ~ Gretchen Rubin
