Greatest Showman quotes by Jenny Bicks & Bill Condon
And buried in your bones there's an ache that you can't ignore
Taking your breath, stealing your mind
And all that was real is left behind"

The Greatest Showman ~ L.M. Kennedy
Greatest Showman quotes by L.M. Kennedy
Even the greatest showman alive could not reveal the trick behind the magic of her smile. ~ Giovannie De Sadeleer
Greatest Showman quotes by Giovannie De Sadeleer
One of the greatest lesson is humility. Humility is like oxygen to the soul. You won't get too far without it! ~ Dina Rolle
Greatest Showman quotes by Dina Rolle
When we think of a criminal, we imagine someone with criminal motives. And when we look at Eichmann, he doesn't actually have any criminal motives. Not what is usually understood by "criminal motives." He wanted to go along with the rest. He wanted to say "we," and going-along-with-the-rest and wanting-to-say-we like this were quite enough to make the greatest of all crimes possible. The Hitlers, after all, really aren't the ones who are typical in this kind of situation
they'd be powerless without the support of others. ~ Hannah Arendt
Greatest Showman quotes by Hannah Arendt
If you love somebody, tell them. If there is conflict, let it go and fight instead for peace. Break the numb false silence and break the distance too. Laugh and cry and apologize and start again. This life is short and fragile but friendship is among the greatest miracles. ~ Jamie Tworkowski
Greatest Showman quotes by Jamie Tworkowski
when you're in a rain forest, where the density and diversity of wildlife are the greatest, you will always hear critters entering the soundscape each day in a structured order, almost as if following Darwin's timeline of evolution: insects first, then amphibians, then reptiles, then birds, then mammals."
[from an interview in Sun Magazine © 2014] ~ Bernie Krause
Greatest Showman quotes by Bernie Krause
If anybody would make me the greatest king that ever lived, with palaces, and gardens and fine dinners, and wine, and coaches, and beautiful clothes, and hundreds of servants, on condition that I would not read books, I would not be a king. ~ Thomas B. Macaulay
Greatest Showman quotes by Thomas B. Macaulay
We have seen some of the greatest athletes fall because they have tried to take shortcuts. I'm not going to call any names but we talk about guys that was like at the top of their game that people just idolized. They looked in awe and all of a sudden you see them just come tumbling down because they want to take shortcuts. I think it's more rewarding when you do it the old fashioned way. ~ Jerry Rice
Greatest Showman quotes by Jerry Rice
I think the greatest amount of pressure is the pressure I place on myself. So in a way I chose to be alone. ~ Cathy Freeman
Greatest Showman quotes by Cathy Freeman
Sometimes, niña, our greatest gifts grow from what we are not given. ~ Erica Bauermeister
Greatest Showman quotes by Erica Bauermeister
A Pleasant Theology One reason why many people find Creative Evolution so attractive is that it gives one much of the emotional comfort of believing in God and none of the less pleasant consequences. When you are feeling fit and the sun is shining and you do not want to believe that the whole universe is a mere mechanical dance of atoms, it is nice to be able to think of this great mysterious Force rolling on through the centuries and carrying you on its crest. If, on the other hand, you want to do something rather shabby, the Life-Force, being only a blind force, with no morals and no mind, will never interfere with you like that troublesome God we learned about when we were children. The Life-Force is a sort of tame God. You can switch it on when you want, but it will not bother you. All the thrills of religion and none of the cost. Is the Life-Force the greatest achievement of wishful thinking the world has yet seen? - from Mere Christianity ~ C.S. Lewis
Greatest Showman quotes by C.S. Lewis
Suffering is one of the greatest spiritual teachers of humanity. Even though none of us really ever welcomes it ... having had enough of it in your life, will cause you to surrender and control your thoughts. It will usually lead you through the doors of spiritual journey in your life. Once you go through these doors of enlightenment ... you will never be the same. ~ Timothy Pina
Greatest Showman quotes by Timothy Pina
The cocktail party is probably America's greatest contribution to the world of entertaining. ~ Martha Stewart
Greatest Showman quotes by Martha Stewart
You aren't on your own. You can find the greatest things in life in the smallest and simplest things, you just gotta take a moment. ~ Ashton Irwin
Greatest Showman quotes by Ashton Irwin
To make my brothers and my sister laugh was the greatest joy to me in my life. I like people who can make fun of themselves a lot. ~ Gemma Ward
Greatest Showman quotes by Gemma Ward
I really love doing what I do, being an actor. It's the greatest. You can do it until you die. ~ Dennis Quaid
Greatest Showman quotes by Dennis Quaid
For pleasures past I do not grieve, Nor perils gathering near; My greatest grief is that I leave No thing that claims a tear. ~ George Gordon Byron
Greatest Showman quotes by George Gordon Byron
Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young. ~ Moshe Arens
Greatest Showman quotes by Moshe Arens
Our greatest heart-treasure is a knowledge that there is in creation an individual to whom our existence is necessary - some one who is part of our life as we are part of theirs, some one in whose life we feel assured our death would leave a gap for a day or two. ~ Miles Franklin
Greatest Showman quotes by Miles Franklin
Your greatest attribute, that which allows you to accomplish most in life and the most treasured aspect of your being will often be the source of your greatest suffering. ~ Chris Matakas
Greatest Showman quotes by Chris Matakas
So spoke the man whose importance originated in the golden harvest he had reaped with the resistless hand of force, from the the legal, but unfortunate possessors, in a far distant region, where the conviction of riches proves certain destruction to the hapless natives, and poverty is considered as the greatest crime their European plunderers can possibly be accused of. ~ Helen Craik
Greatest Showman quotes by Helen Craik
You cannot argue with [Satan], for he is the greatest debater of all time. ~ Billy Graham
Greatest Showman quotes by Billy Graham
After a certain high level of technical skill is achieved, science and art tend to coalesce in esthetics, plasticity, and form. The greatest scientists are artists as well. Remark ~ Albert Einstein
Greatest Showman quotes by Albert Einstein
Public justice is the greatest kind of show, my brother. Drama. Suspense. And best of all education en masse. ~ Khaled Hosseini
Greatest Showman quotes by Khaled Hosseini
The easiest way to write a book is to use the Table of Contents as an outline. People get stuck when they think in terms of writing a book. Do not let this delay you. There are a lot of book outline writing software's available today, but I personally believe they have the potential to cause more distraction then assistance.
The best possible outlines have come from pure "flow". I advise my clients to do a simple process of setting the timer for 2 minutes and just writing. I ask that they write everything that pops into their heads without thought or judgment on the subject. The questions I ask are: What is most important to you? What do you know a lot about? Tell me 12 things that fall under that subject that are valuable to know. Under each of the 12 things, give me 3 things that are a "must" in that category. Using index cards to write your answers on is a useful way to arrange chapters and sections of your book. Believe it or not, my students have come up with a Table of Contents/outline in less than 10 minutes using this method. Our greatest block is that we tend to over think things too much. We over analyze and what happens is that we get into analysis paralysis. Our creativity and 'flow' freezes up and all spontaneity and creativity just exits out of the thought process. When we stall the creative flow by trying to be correct, proper and appropriate, we end up talking ourselves out of what we intuitively know that we know and into a space of doubt, or what we th ~ Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
Greatest Showman quotes by Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
The greatest stories about people, and what they achieved in their lives, are the stories of those people who chose to dream, and then went on to make their dreams come to life. (Not surprisingly, there are no success stories written about people who have no dreams.) ~ Shad Helmstetter
Greatest Showman quotes by Shad Helmstetter
The reason why Jane's spirit was not broken was that she had a secret. It was her own special secret and she had told no one else except Peggy. She locked it in her heart and hugged it to herself. It was this glorious secret that filled her with such irrepressible joy and exhilaration. But it was also to be the cause of her greatest disaster, and her life-long grief.
The rumour that her father was a high-born gentleman in Parliament must have reached Jane's ears when she was a little girl. Perhaps she had heard the officers talking about it, or perhaps another child had heard the adults talking and told her. Perhaps Jane's mother had told another workhouse inmate, who had passed it on. One can never tell how rumours start.
To Jane, it was not a rumour. It was an absolute fact. Her daddy was a high-born gentleman, who one day would come and take her away. She fantasised endlessly about her daddy. She talked to him, and he talked to her. ~ Jennifer Worth
Greatest Showman quotes by Jennifer Worth
Perhaps the greatest difference among people is between those who never have to worry about money and those who do. ~ James Cook
Greatest Showman quotes by James Cook
If government and media and all of us in the Australian tribe got together, and the rock industry, we'd just be the greatest cultural force the world has ever seen - we're such an amazing race. ~ Yahoo Serious
Greatest Showman quotes by Yahoo Serious
The greatest enemy of progress is not stagnation, but false progress. ~ Sydney J. Harris
Greatest Showman quotes by Sydney J. Harris
One single great player doesn't make anything for a team; it has to be a team. I think [American] football is the greatest team sport there is because you have to depend on your brother next to you. ~ Tim Tebow
Greatest Showman quotes by Tim Tebow

You cannot become the greatest without at least a gr- and a test inside of you ~ Johnnie Dent Jr.
Greatest Showman quotes by Johnnie Dent Jr.
What inspires me is the power of human potential ... the human potential to evolve in our lives, and for profound healing. It's always been there but it's become somewhat obscure to us given the stressful, fast-paced modern culture in which we live. I'm also inspired by how miraculous some of the simplest and most natural aspects of life can be the greatest sources of healing and transformation. ~ Brad Willis
Greatest Showman quotes by Brad Willis
It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living. ~ David Attenborough
Greatest Showman quotes by David Attenborough
The greatest honor of a man is in doing good to his fellow men, not in destroying them. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Greatest Showman quotes by Thomas Jefferson
It is the greatest achievement of a teacher to enable his students to surpass him. ~ John G. Kemeny
Greatest Showman quotes by John G. Kemeny
I am often accused of being childish. I prefer to interpret that as child-like. I still get wildly enthusiastic about little things. I tend to exaggerate and fantasize and embellish. I still listen to instinctual urges. I play with leaves. I skip down the street and run against the wind. I never water my garden without soaking myself. It has been after such times of joy that I have achieved my greatest creativity and produced my best work. ~ Leo Buscaglia
Greatest Showman quotes by Leo Buscaglia
The Goddess is coming home to us; she brings wealth to our houses and hearts." This is how I see my sisters. Pure as fire, the greatest wealth I could ever know, finally, finally, bringing me home. ~ Nikita Gill
Greatest Showman quotes by Nikita Gill
The greatest crime since World War II has been U.S. foreign policy. ~ Ramsey Clark
Greatest Showman quotes by Ramsey Clark
The best stories (whether book or movie) involve redemption. If you are someone who believes you have made too many mistakes or your life has been too "bad" for God to want you, think of it this way: God, the greatest story teller, has not yet finished your story, and He can make it a really great story by including a really great redemption. All of us, in truth, need a really great redemption, which means, through Jesus, all of us have a really great story. ~ Donna E. Lane
Greatest Showman quotes by Donna E. Lane
One of the greatest secrets to a fulfilling and successful life is going with the flow. This doesn't stop us from working hard, but it does mean we've become keenly aware of the difference between hard work and struggling. ~ Kevin Sterling
Greatest Showman quotes by Kevin Sterling
we are all born/ so beautiful/ the greatest tragedy is/ being convinced we are not ~ Rupi Kaur
Greatest Showman quotes by Rupi Kaur
Tell me this," I said. "My world. It's not like the one I read about in the oldest books. When they talk about magic, about ghosts, it's as if they are fairy-tales to frighten children. And yet I have seen the dead walk, seen a boy bring fire with just a thought."
Fexler frowned as if considering how to explain. "Think of reality as a ship whose course is set, whose wheel is locked in place by universal constants. Our greatest achievement, and downfall, was to turn that wheel, just a fraction. The role of the observer was always important - we discovered that. If a tree falls in the wood and no one hears it, then it is both standing and not standing. The cat is both alive and dead."
"Who mentioned a fecking cat? ~ Mark Lawrence
Greatest Showman quotes by Mark Lawrence
The interesting thing about that is one of the greatest critics of socialism and leftwing writings was Robert Michels who wrote a series of essays called "The Iron Law of Oligarchy" and in these essays he discusses how no matter what sorts of freedoms are advertised or put into a society structure, that all societies, all form of governments - whether they be a Roman republic, whether they be a democracy, whether they be a Russian communist system, whatever, a tribe ... a tribal council - all of the continuously, throughout the ages, have all converted back into an oligarchy. ~ Immortal Technique

Stendhal knows the source of his greatest happiness and his worst misery: the reflexivity of his spiritual life. When he loves, enjoys beauty, feels free and unconstrained, he realizes not only the bliss of these feelings but, at the same time, the happiness of being aware of this happiness. But now that he ought to be completely absorbed by his happiness and feel redeemed from all his limitations and inadequacies, he is still full of problems and doubts: Is that the whole story? - he asks himself. Is that what they call love? Is it possible to love, to feel, to be delighted and yet to observe oneself so coolly and so calmly? Stendhal's answer is by no means the usual one, which assumes the existence of an insurmountable gulf between feeling and reason, passion and reflexion, love and ambition, but is based on the assumption that modern man simply feels differently, is enraptured and enthusiastic differently from a contemporary of Racine or Rousseau. For them, spontaneity and reflexivity of the emotions were incompatible, for Stendhal and his heroes they are quite inseparable; none of their passions is so strong as the desire to be constantly calling themselves to account for what is going on inside them. Compared with the older literature, this self consciousness implies just as profound a change as Stendhal's realism, and the overcoming of classical-romantic psychology is just as strictly one of the preconditions of his art as the abolition of the alternative between the ro ~ Arnold Hauser

The greatest war story ever told commemorates a war that established no boundaries, won no territory, and furthered no cause. ~ Caroline Alexander
