Towers' is the name of the dormitory that I lived in in college; it's made up of these two towers – North and South – my girlfriend lived in one and I lived in the other. It's about falling in love, but also about what happens when you've long fallen out of love and those reminders are still there. You drive by them, these two buildings, and you look, and you realise that we really built that up. That we really built that love into these things, and for a long time afterward looking at them really made me feel sad; to see these empty buildings that I don't go in to anymore. But then, as time goes on, they start to become kind of joyous in their own way: you can look at them and think 'that love was great and these buildings still stand tall'. But there's also an element of the fact that they're just buildings – they're gonna fall down one day, and they're not that important because there's new love in your life and you've got to break things down that get built up. ~ Justin Vernon
Go In To quotes by Justin Vernon
As a kid, I was always listening to music. I would just go in to my room and put on an album, read the lyrics, and just spend hours and hours in there. Plus, my sister Laurie played piano (in fact she taught me my first few notes) so music was always around one way or another. ~ Andrew Hollander
Go In To quotes by Andrew Hollander
When I go in to compete, whether it's gymnastics or anything else, I do my own thing. I compete with myself. ~ Shannon Miller
Go In To quotes by Shannon Miller

Go In To quotes by Allison Tolman
Who doesn't love a statement sock? I mean, we won't go in to details, but your underwear has to be bright, too. ~ Bubba Watson
Go In To quotes by Bubba Watson
We go in to liberate Cuba, but Cuba still isn't free; we don't really think through what we'll do after the initial treaty is signed, but we're still occupying. There's chaos and torture and finally an outcry. ~ Sarah Vowell
Go In To quotes by Sarah Vowell
And when it comes to developing the high standards we need, it's time to stop working against our teachers and start working with them. Teachers don't go in to education to get rich. They don't go in to education because they don't believe in their children. They want their children to succeed, but we've got to give them the tools. Invest in early childhood education. Invest in our teachers and our children will succeed. ~ Barack Obama
Go In To quotes by Barack Obama
Near Taksim he suddenly found himself inside a crowd of people leaving a movie theater. They were staring straight ahead, as if in a trance, walking down the stairs arm in arm or with their hands plunged in their pockets, and Galip was so overwhelmed by what he read in their faces and that his own nightmare faded into the background. What he read in their faces was peace: these people had been able to forget their own sadness by immersing themselves in a story. They were here, on this wretched street, but at the same time they were there, inside the story to which they'd so eagerly given themselves over. They had gone into theater with minds sucked dry by pain and defeat, but now their minds were full again with rich story that gave meaning to their memories and their melancholy. They can believe they're someone else! thought Galip longingly. For a moment he was tempted to go in to watch the film they'd just seen,to lose himself in the same story and become someone else. As they wandered down the street, stopping now and again to gaze into boring shop windows, Galip watched the return to the dull and dreary world they knew so well.
They don't make much effort! Thought Galip. ~ Orhan Pamuk
Go In To quotes by Orhan Pamuk
When I go in to the recording studio, I already know almost exactly what I am going to do, but when I go to set, it is really a wildcard. I have no idea what is going to happen. ~ Joshua Rush
Go In To quotes by Joshua Rush
When I go in to see people - and I sell an occasional ad now - I never say, 'Help me because I am black' or 'Help me because I am a minority.' I always talk about what we can do for them. ~ John H. Johnson
Go In To quotes by John H. Johnson
'Entourage' is a very, very, very unique acting experience. I could go in to win 1000 Academy Awards, and it would never be as much fun as the show. ~ Kevin Connolly
Go In To quotes by Kevin Connolly
Everywhere you go, people have recorded or captured events in real time on their mobile phones. It becomes one of the first questions you ask when you go in to investigate something. ~ Jeremy Scahill
Go In To quotes by Jeremy Scahill
We are hearing the imams that are preaching in places like the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. The imam preached there to the migrants go in to Western Europe, build your enclaves there, breed their women and do not associate or assimilate into the broader society. ~ Steve King
Go In To quotes by Steve King
For me, when I go in to write a profile, and no ground rules are laid down, and I'm there to write an on-the-record profile and cover readings while in the room, then that means it's on the record. ~ Michael Hastings
Go In To quotes by Michael Hastings
I passed by your lodging just now, and thought: 'I'll go in to him; he is kinder than any of them, and he was there at the time.' Forgive a poor creature who's no use to anyone; i'll go away directly; I'm going ... ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Go In To quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
We might say that the dream tranforms the dreamer; that it possesses the ability to 'initiate', to bestow new meaning, to motivate new beginnings (Latin: initium - beginning), to permit our entrance (literally 'en-trance'; Latin: inire init - to go in) to new orders of relation between ourselves and the 'other'. ~ Andrew D. Chumbley
Go In To quotes by Andrew D. Chumbley
I didn't go in to make friends or not make friends. ~ Michelle Visage
Go In To quotes by Michelle Visage
It used to be that you would go in to see a CEO, and you would ask them, 'Is your company for sale?' and if they said 'No, we have no interest in selling,' that was sort of the end of the conversation. ~ Henry Kravis
Go In To quotes by Henry Kravis
Society reaps what it sows in the way it nurtures its children, because stress sculpts the brain to exhibit several antisocial behaviors. Stress can set off a ripple of hormonal changes that permanently wire a child's brain to cope with a malevolent world. Through this chain of events, violence and abuse pass from generation to generation as well as from one society to the next. Many world leaders who have been disciplined through anger and cruelty go in to treat their own people abominably, or to bully other nations. As long as we continue to discipline children like this, we will continue to have terrible wars on both the family and the world stage. One very powerful study illustrates the point. Researchers tracked down Germans who, in World War II, risked their own lives by hiding a Jewish person in their house. When interviewed, the researchers found one common feature of all these people. They had all been socialized in ways that respected their personal dignity. ~ Margot Sunderland
Go In To quotes by Margot Sunderland
When you see the cows go into McDonalds you know that their beef burgers are fresh. ~ Anthony T. Hincks
Go In To quotes by Anthony T. Hincks
Well he'll not get her, will he?" Angus exclaimed. "He's just some little pond sprite. He can't do anything out of the water, right? He's powerless. I'll get her out of here! We'll go in to Glasgow or…"
Ian sighed. "Come on, Angus. It's not as simple as all that. This is an Elemental you're dealing with. You'd have to take her to the center of the freaking Sahara to get away from him, and even then he'd probably make it rain. He's in every damned faucet and kitchen tap all over the world. She takes a bath and he'll pull her under!"
Angus stared at him angrily.
"It's fucking happened!" Ian said. ~ Elliot Mabeuse
Go In To quotes by Elliot Mabeuse
I think I want to go in to law or oncology, as those are both subjects that really interest me, but my parents say that I should be a politician since I am so good at arguing! ~ Joshua Rush
Go In To quotes by Joshua Rush
If we go in to each situation that life throws at us with an attitude that we can
learn from it then we will never be truly defeated. ~ Oli Anderson
Go In To quotes by Oli Anderson
Somebody described it to me the best as when you go in to write a song with two people that you've never met, you're pretty much going in and taking off your pants in front of strangers, so it's a really weird feeling. ~ Scotty McCreery
Go In To quotes by Scotty McCreery
I can't say, 'It doesn't matter if you win or lose.' It's not true. You go in to win. ~ Katarina Witt
Go In To quotes by Katarina Witt
You don't necessarily go in to talk to the person to try to find some secret key to the lock. ~ Tom Hanks
Go In To quotes by Tom Hanks
Too often you see someone fall, break a rib, go in to the doctor and discover a tumor. ~ Elizabeth Holmes
Go In To quotes by Elizabeth Holmes
Usually, when you go in to make a record, you have 30 songs, and you record 30 of them, and 12 of them make it to the record. ~ Dave Grohl
Go In To quotes by Dave Grohl
If I were investing in oil and gas stocks, there is one question I would ask CEO's: What portion of your capital is going to have to go in to stay even ~ Gwyn Morgan
Go In To quotes by Gwyn Morgan
That's how hospitals get you. You go in to visit and before you know it they got a camera stuck up your butt and they're looking' to find poloponies. ~ Janet Evanovich
Go In To quotes by Janet Evanovich
I have a theory about that, if you have to say something, if you have encourage for one second a prospective acting student - he should not go in to acting. ~ Dabney Coleman
Go In To quotes by Dabney Coleman
A director will always tell you, when you go in to do a scene, 'You go as big as you want, and I'll tell you when to come down.' And I found that on 'Shameless,' you can't follow that rule because they will never tell you to come down. So, I've had to find my own balance with when it makes sense to get this upset or angry. ~ Jeremy Allen White
Go In To quotes by Jeremy Allen White
There is a sense in which we have - like, I go in to teach a class; I may be somewhat different than I would be talking to you, although it's related because it's public. I'm very different with my roommate or my lover or my cats. But I don't know if that means you're acting, really, if you're being truthful. ~ Mary Gaitskill
Go In To quotes by Mary Gaitskill
You don't approach a case with the philosophy of applying abstract justice-you go in to win ~ Percy Foreman
Go In To quotes by Percy Foreman
But you can't get to any of these truths by sitting in a field smiling beatifically, avoiding your anger and damage and grief. Your anger and damage and grief are the way to the truth. We don't have much truth to express unless we have gone into those rooms and closets and woods and abysses that we were told not go in to. When we have gone in and looked around for a long while, just breathing and finally taking it in – then we will be able to speak in our own voice and to stay in the present moment. And that moment is home. ~ Anne Lamott
Go In To quotes by Anne Lamott
You could have mentioned that this kid never sleeps,"
Tim calls from the living room. We go in to find him slumped in the easy chair next to the pulled-out sofa bed. Andy's sprawled out on the bed, long tan legs in a V, George gathered in her arms. Duff, still in his clothes, lies across the bottom, Harry curled in a ball on the pillow under Andy's outstretched leg. Safety, as much as could be found, must have lain in numbers.Patsy's fingering Tim's nose and pulling on his bottom lip, her eyes wide-blue open.
"Sorry, man," Jase says. "She's usually good to go at bedtime."
"Do you have any idea how many times I've read If You Give a Mouse a Cookie to this kid? That is one fucked-up story. How is that a book for babies?"
Jase laughs.
"I thought it was about babysitting."
"Hell no, it's addiction. That friggin' mouse is never satisfied. You give him one thing, he wants something else, and then he asks for more and on and on and on. Fucked up. Patsy liked it, though. Fifty thousand times."
Tim yawns, and Patsy snuggles more comfortably onto his chest, grabbing a handful of shirt.
"So what's doin'?"
We tell him what we know - nothing - then put the baby in her crib. She glowers, angry and bewildered for a moment, then grabs her five pacifiers, closes her eyes with a look of fierce concentration, and falls very deeply asleep. ~ Huntley Fitzpatrick
Go In To quotes by Huntley Fitzpatrick
You have total freedom. It's like, if you do a solo record, there are no restrictions and you can do whatever you want, good or bad. You can have these passing fancies where you go in to the studio one day and you want to do something like what you did on the way in. That's dangerous. You have to have some sort of focus. ~ Patrick Stump
Go In To quotes by Patrick Stump
The U.N. is asking Italy to oversee this effort. And if a government is formed, you're likely to see up to 5,000 Italian troops maybe go in to provide security and also train a Libyan army. ~ Tom Bowman
Go In To quotes by Tom Bowman
I was tired of illustration. You'd work so hard on a commission and it would go in to a magazine, and you'd turn the page and it was gone. ~ Richard MacDonald
Go In To quotes by Richard MacDonald
Every album is just a greatest hits of whatever songs are on a pile when I go in to make a record. ~ Amanda Palmer
Go In To quotes by Amanda Palmer
Very often when I go in to meet for movies or pilots, I'm put on videotape. I hate the notion that that tape is going to sit on a shelf and never get better. ~ David Ogden Stiers
Go In To quotes by David Ogden Stiers
My mother was an unbeliever - and still is. My father was a nominal Catholic. We would go in to church at the last minute before the gospel reading, take Communion, and walk right out again. ~ Frederica Mathewes-Green
Go In To quotes by Frederica Mathewes-Green
I've never understood it,' continued Wilfred Carr, yawning. 'It's not in my line at all; I never had enough money for my own wants, let alone for two. Perhaps if I were as rich as you or Croesus I might regard it differently.'
There was just sufficient meaning in the latter part of the remark for his cousin to forbear to reply to it. He continued to gaze out of the window and to smoke slowly.
'Not being as rich as Croesus - or you,' resumed Carr, regarding him from beneath lowered lids, 'I paddle my own canoe down the stream of Time, and, tying it to my friends' doorposts, go in to eat their dinners.' ("The Well") ~ W.W. Jacobs
Go In To quotes by W.W. Jacobs
It was both comforting and terrifying to go in to audition for 'The Girl in the Cafe,' as I'd worked with everyone in the room on 'State Of Play.' ~ Kelly Macdonald
Go In To quotes by Kelly Macdonald
When you do a four-camera sitcom, everything is a little schtickier. It's not necessarily that you pick up bad habits, but there is just a very specific way of acting that you fall into on those kinds of multicamera shows, and you have to break those habits when you go in to do other things. ~ Mila Kunis
Go In To quotes by Mila Kunis
Jesus' character--as our refuge, as trustworthy, as sufficient, as ever present, as wise, as merciful, as in control, and as sovereign Lord--breaks through the harsh cold of the season as He steps in to carry our burdens, reminding us that true rest comes when we rest in Him. ~ Ruth Chou Simons
Go In To quotes by Ruth Chou Simons
Go in close, and when you think you are too close, go in closer. ~ Thomas McGuire
Go In To quotes by Thomas McGuire
Venues are all the same, all feel the same, these generic blank spaces. I like artists like Lightning Bolt-bands that go in and kind of change things every time, play on the floor, set up in the middle of the room. They go in and they reinvent the space every time, which I feel is like the kind of thing that should just be happening. ~ Will Oldham
Go In To quotes by Will Oldham
He had given in to hope, and that will kill you. It kills you before you die. Long before you die. ~ Rick Yancey
Go In To quotes by Rick Yancey
Our fellow Negro citizens could be summed up in something Tessie said after watching Sidney Poitier's performance in To Sir with Love, which opened a month before the riots. She said, You see, they can speak perfectly normal if they want. ~ Jeffrey Eugenides
Go In To quotes by Jeffrey Eugenides
She didn't strike me as someone who was tuned in to every gesture, every movement; someone who could read him like a well-loved book; or someone who seemed to instinctively understand him from the beginning without requiring any explanation. She wasn't… me. ~ Bindu Adai
Go In To quotes by Bindu Adai
While the Texas prison officials remained in the dark about what was going on, they were fortunate that William and Danny had benign motives. Imagine what havoc the two might have caused; it would have been child's play for these guys to develop a scheme for obtaining money or property from unsuspecting victims. The Internet had become their university and playground. Learning how to run scams against individuals or break in to corporate sites would have been a cinch; teenagers and preteens learn these methods every day from the hacker sites and elsewhere on the Web. And as prisoners, Danny and William had all the time in the world.

Maybe there's a lesson here: Two convicted murderers, but that didn't mean they were scum, rotten to the core. They were cheaters who hacked their way onto the Internet illegally, but that didn't mean they were willing to victimize innocent people or naively insecure companies. ~ Kevin D. Mitnick
Go In To quotes by Kevin D. Mitnick
How far should a person go in the name of true love? ~ Nicholas Sparks
Go In To quotes by Nicholas Sparks
Football is mesmerizing, because it's a figurative war. You go in one direction till you get there, but you get there as a team, not as an individual. Players bond whether they're black or white, much as soldiers do. ~ Oliver Stone
Go In To quotes by Oliver Stone
Men and women's needs and desires overlap but go in different directions as well. ~ Nicolas Roeg
Go In To quotes by Nicolas Roeg
Then I want to beat Anthony Davis' shot-block record, and I want to win National Player of the Year. I definitely plan to put the work in to accomplish those goals. ~ Nerlens Noel
Go In To quotes by Nerlens Noel
I want people to take thought about their condition and to recognize that the maintainence of a free society is a very difficult and complicated thing and it requires a self-denying ordinance of the most extreme kind. It requires a willingness to put up with temporary evils on the basis of the subtle and sophisticated understanding that if you step in to do something about them you not only may make them worse, you will spread your tenticles and get bad results elsewhere. ~ Milton Friedman
Go In To quotes by Milton Friedman
Those people gave in to their pain because they couldn't find purpose - their torture was meaningless, and when you can't find reason in life, you tend to give up on it. ~ Brandon Sanderson
Go In To quotes by Brandon Sanderson
You can't . . . know someone that long and suddenly know how to handle it when they just disappear from your life. You can't be with someone that long and not still feel the need to step in, to fight for them, to protect them. ~ Alice Clayton
Go In To quotes by Alice Clayton
People usually focus on what burglars take, but it's how they move that's so consistently interesting. Burglars explore. They might not live in a city full of secret passages and trapdoors - but they make it look as if they do. They have their own tools and floor plans, their own ways to get from A to B. They'll curl up inside refrigerators, climb through ceilings, use garbage chutes and fall twenty-one floors straight into the emergency room when they could simply have taken the stairs. They'll slip through porch screens and stow themselves inside clothes dryers till the police come busting in to find them. ~ Geoff Manaugh
Go In To quotes by Geoff Manaugh
You need an infinite stretch of time ahead of you to start to think, infinite energy to make the smallest decision. The world is getting denser. The immense number of useless projects is bewildering. Too many things have to be put in to balance up an uncertain scale. You can't disappear anymore. You die in a state of total indecision. ~ Jean Baudrillard
Go In To quotes by Jean Baudrillard
Finally I looked to the cold, white sky and prayed to a God I wasn't sure I believed in to heal the girl I loved. ~ C. Desir
Go In To quotes by C. Desir
But the past is the biggest country of all, and there's a reason one gives in to the desire to set stories in the past: almost everything good seems located in the past, perhaps that's an illusion, but I feel nostalgic for every era before I was born; and one is freer of modern inhibitions, perhaps because one bears no responsibility for the past, sometimes I feel simply ashamed of the time in which I live. ~ Susan Sontag
Go In To quotes by Susan Sontag
Don't go in and hide; don't come out and shine; stand stock-still in the middle. ~ Zhuangzi
Go In To quotes by Zhuangzi
You have just got to face the facts, don't you? I face it head-on. I knew what I was coming in to. I didn't make the impact I hoped for and I believed in. ~ Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
Go In To quotes by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
It's an amazing thing when you finally settle in to knowing you'll never fit in. The difference between the rest of the world and you; you feel to much about too many things. And most others feel not enough, about too few. Keep standing out. Keep showing the crowd what beautifully flying free is all about. ~ J. Raymond
Go In To quotes by J. Raymond
God is building Himself in to us, making Himself part of us as the Word rules, dominates and sanctifies our spirit nature. ~ T. B. Joshua
Go In To quotes by T. B. Joshua
The four of us piled inside. Hi pressed five. The doors slid shut.
"Hope nobody else needs a lift," Shelton whispered.
"We can make something up," Hi hissed. "Say we lost our pony."
I snorted. "And came to report it at one a.m.?"
"Better than breaking in to steal evidence," Hi countered. "Maybe we loved that pony. ~ Kathy Reichs
Go In To quotes by Kathy Reichs
Those who buy in to global warming wish to drastically curb human economic and industrial activities, regardless of the consequences for people, especially the poor. ~ Paul Johnson
Go In To quotes by Paul Johnson
Girlfriend? You need to get yourself a gag." Lynne Harmony murmured from her perch on the love seat.
Vinnie faltered and then continued in to flop into her leather chair. "I screamed his name. He said I was going to scream his name, and I actually did it." She shook her head. ~ Rebecca Zanetti
Go In To quotes by Rebecca Zanetti
Cling tooth and nail to the following rule: Not to give in to adversity, never to trust prosperity, and always to take full note of fortune's habit of behaving just as she pleases, treating her as if she were actually going to do everything it is in her power to do. Whatever you have been expecting for some time comes as less of a shock. ~ Seneca The Younger
Go In To quotes by Seneca The Younger
Pray don't hold back," Robert said politely. "You can tell me what you really think of my valet." Stewart broke in to a reluctant grin."Sorry fer bein' so forward, sir, but that valet o' yers is nothin' but a Frenchified piece o' lace. ~ Karen Hawkins
Go In To quotes by Karen Hawkins
Admit is a beautiful word - it means both "tell the truth" and "allow in." To admit present experience - to tell the truth about what is actually present - is to recognize that what's present has already been admitted into life. The waves appearing at present have already been admitted into the ocean, and admitting that they exist is at the absolute core of this teaching. Waking up is all about admitting who you really are! ~ Jeff Foster
Go In To quotes by Jeff Foster
i pull her closer to me and tucked her head beneath my chin. She lean in to me,and i though i felt her release a small sigh.'I would never let anything happen to you'. ~ Sherri Hayes
Go In To quotes by Sherri Hayes
I don't know how high I went, I don't wanna know. Heights are not my favorite thing. It makes my balls go in my throat just thinking about it. ~ Chris Kyle
Go In To quotes by Chris Kyle
People come and go in life, but they never leave your dreams. Once they're in your subconscious, they are immortal. ~ Patricia Hampl
Go In To quotes by Patricia Hampl
We've been everywhere around Northwest. I was biking until the clouds came. We'll go in the woods, we'll go up and down the river. I love the woods in Sandy, but it's an hour away, so I don't love that. ~ David Giuntoli
