Raindrops are nothing more than a lullaby for the restless soul. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
Music is my enchanter, the seducer of my emotions, the fire and ice that moves me. ~ Richelle E. Goodrich
Fire And Ice quotes by Richelle E. Goodrich
I love you, too, and I'm not listening to any opening remarks or qualifications on the matter. You are my fire and ice, my calm and chaos, my everything, and I can't remember life before loving you. ~ Kate Canterbary
Fire And Ice quotes by Kate Canterbary
He tasted of earth and water, fire and ice, salvation and destruction all together in a tender kiss that held me captive throughout a stolen moment in time. ~ Bella J.
Fire And Ice quotes by Bella J.
You cannot be in the presence of my father," the girl said. "Fire and ice - it would not be wise."
"We're going together," Jason insisted, putting his hand on Leo's shoulder, "or not at all."
The girl tilted her head, like she wasn't used to people refusing her orders. "He will not be harmed, Jason Grace, unless you make trouble. Calais,
keep Leo Valdez here. Guard him, but do not kill him."
Cal pouted. "Just a little?"
"No," the girl insisted. ~ Rick Riordan
Fire And Ice quotes by Rick Riordan
I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
Swift as a deer. Quiet as a shadow. Fear cuts deeper than swords. Quick as a snake. Calm as still water. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
Why should death make a man truthful, or even clever? The dead are likely dull fellows, full of tedious complaints - the ground's too cold, my gravestone should be larger, why does he get more worms than I do ... ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
Fire and ice, somehow existing together without destroying each other. More proof that I belonged with him. ~ Stephenie Meyer
Fire And Ice quotes by Stephenie Meyer
He did not in the least wish the future Mrs. Newland Archer to be a simpleton. He meant her (thanks to his enlightening companionship) to develop a social tact and readiness of wit enabling her to hold her own with the most popular married women of the 'younger set,' in which it was the recognized custom to attract masculine homage while playfully discouraging it. If he had probed to the bottom of his vanity (as he sometimes nearly did) he would have found there the wish that his wife should be as worldly-wise and eager to please as the married lady whose charms had held his fancy through two mildly agitated years; without, of course, any hint of the frailty which had so nearly marred that unhappy being's life, and had disarranged his own plans for a whole winter.

How this miracle of fire and ice was to be created, and to sustain itself in a harsh world, he had never taken the time to think out; but he was content to hold his view without analyzing it, since he knew it was that of all the carefully-brushed, white-waistcoated, buttonhole-flowered gentlemen who succeeded each other in the club box, exchanged friendly greetings with him, and turned their opera-glasses critically on the circle of ladies who were the product of the system. In matters intellectual and artistic Newland Archer felt himself distinctly the superior of these chosen specimens of old New York gentility; he had probably read more, thought more, and even seen a good deal more of the world, than a ~ Edith Wharton
Fire And Ice quotes by Edith Wharton
I am the contrast. I am forever the crack in the window that lets the winter in. I am forever the moment between laughter and tears, happiness and sadness. I am light and darkness. I am fire and ice. You will try to take me into your life, but I won't fit, and you will not know how to tell me that there is simply
no place for me.
There is simply no place for a girl like me. ~ Charlotte Eriksson
Fire And Ice quotes by Charlotte Eriksson
Love is poison. A sweet poison, yes, but it will kill you all the same. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
The love between us is fire and ice. It's loss, and it's redemption. It's pain, and it's comfort. It is everything. ~ Callie Hart
Fire And Ice quotes by Callie Hart
She's sun and rain, she's fire and ice, a little crazy, but it's nice. And when she gets mad, you best leave her alone, cause she'll rage like a river then she'll beg you to forgive her. ~ Garth Brooks
Fire And Ice quotes by Garth Brooks
Fire and ice licked at his soul - whispered his name - drawing him deeper into the enveloping pain and blackness as he'd dreamed earlier. He suddenly wished to return to the rippling stream. The water would wash away the blistering pain…the fire…the burn. He'd wade deeper…submit to the current…
He'd let go… ~ R.W. Patterson
Fire And Ice quotes by R.W. Patterson
There is no place for secrets in sisterhood. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
She could not bear to look at him just now. If she did, she might well slap him again. Or cry. Or kiss him. And never know which was right and which was wrong and which was madness. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
When life seems comparable to a broken tea cup, you must realize there is nothing more than a single chip in the porcelain. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
They were full of suspicion and wonder, which I had grown to recognize as two very dangerous things. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
He poured his feelings into the kiss, fire and ice, love and regret, joy and bitterness. Everything he had to give her. ~ Christine Feehan
Fire And Ice quotes by Christine Feehan
Music burst through him, perfect notes he hear rarely. Fire and ice, wind and calm, sky and earth, water and rock all fused together. Joley seemed as wild and turbulent s the sea, yet beneath her fiery passion, at the very core of her, she was as forceful and strong and as constant as the deepest ocean currents. Ilya seemed as calm as a windless sea, yet beneath the surface smoldered a volcano of such explosive magnitude, his power could easily sweep everything from his path. Together they completed each other, his melody and hers merging together into a single, perfect harmony. ~ Christine Feehan
Fire And Ice quotes by Christine Feehan
You are the Fire Lily", said the Winterking softly. "And I am the Ice King. Does fire melt ice? Or ice melt fire? Or may they come together, fire and ice, neither melted nor quenched? ~ Alison Croggon
Fire And Ice quotes by Alison Croggon
But they were as different as fire and ice. Robert Kennedy thought Eugene McCarthy was pompous, petty, and venal. McCarthy thought Kennedy was a spoiled, unintelligent demagogue. ~ Jack Newfield
Fire And Ice quotes by Jack Newfield
In the game of thrones, even the humblest pieces can have wills of their own. Sometimes they refuse to make the moves you've planned for them. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
Others, I am not the first,
Have willed more mischief than they durst:
If in the breathless night I too
Shiver now, 'tis nothing new.
More than I, if truth were told,
Have stood and sweated hot and cold,
And through their veins in ice and fire
Fear contended with desire.
Agued once like me were they,
But I like them shall win my way
Lastly to the bed of mould
Where there's neither heat nor cold.
But from my grave across my brow
Plays no wind of healing now,
And fire and ice within me fight
Beneath the suffocating night. ~ A.E. Housman
Fire And Ice quotes by A.E. Housman
Tough girls come from New York. Sweet girls, theyre from Georgia. But us Kentucky girls, we have fire and ice in our blood. We can ride horses, be a debutante, throw left hooks, and drink with the boys, all the while making sweet tea, darlin. And if we have an opinion, you know youre gonna hear it. ~ Ashley Judd
Fire And Ice quotes by Ashley Judd
Fire and Ice, Song by Song, Day by Night, One follows along. ~ Tricia O'Malley
Fire And Ice quotes by Tricia O'Malley
The dividing line forms-fashioned from:
Dragon's tears
Missed years
Overcome fears
The fire and ice paradox
Seen with True Sight
Darkness does not always equate to evil
Light does not always bring good ~ P.C. Cast
Fire And Ice quotes by P.C. Cast
And it seemed to her that time stopped, that her body melted into his as if she were without nerve or bone or will, and his kiss was like fire and ice on her lips. ~ Marion Zimmer Bradley
Fire And Ice quotes by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Collin and I were fire and ice, love and hate. When you climb to soaring heights, the fall is much more deadly. ~ Denise Grover Swank
Fire And Ice quotes by Denise Grover Swank
I scored a movie called 'Endangered Species'. I worked on another movie called 'Staying Alive'. A German film called 'Fire and Ice'. ~ Gary Wright
Fire And Ice quotes by Gary Wright
He had the unique ability of sending her off in two different directions at the same time. Hot and cold. Fire and Ice." (Fearless Love) ~ Kate Kadence
Fire And Ice quotes by Kate Kadence
Red and white, the Tudor rose that symbolized the union between the Red Rose of Lancaster and the White Rose of York, blood and snow, passion and purity, fire and ice, hell and heaven, sinner and saint, conquest and surrender, whore and virgin, the red dazzle of rubies and the nacreous lustrous shimmer of pearls, innocence born from a bloody womb, the blood is the life, the cold white marble of death - a tomb effigy; red roses for the blood of martyrs. ~ Brandy Purdy
Fire And Ice quotes by Brandy Purdy
A humble god! You might as well have a toothless wolf! The gods are the gods, ruling thunder and commanding storms, they are the lords of night and day, of fire and ice, the givers of disaster and of triumph. To this day I do not understand why folk become Christians unless it's simply that the other gods enjoy a joke. I have often suspected that Loki, the trickster god, invented Christianity because it has his wicked stench all over it. I can imagine the gods sitting in Asgard one night, all of them bored and probably drunk, and Loki amuses them with a typical piece of his nonsense, "Let's invent a carpenter," he suggests, "and tell the fools that he was the son of the only god, that he died and came back to life, that he cured blindness with lumps of clay, and that he walked on water!" Who would believe that nonsense? But the trouble with Loki is that he always takes his jests too far. ~ Bernard Cornwell
Fire And Ice quotes by Bernard Cornwell
Flaws are beautiful differences that have been wrongly considered. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
Blind ambition drives the foolish, while the soul directs the wise. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
I run to the high mountains
I pour my heart out to the skies
I sing of the summer song
While the sky above dance in the yellow light.
The cool breeze fools the sun above
Takes a run, wins the mighty fight.
Your light then comes to me with warmth,
A view my heart wants.
Love to me is the song you write.
The tricks you play with the endless sky
And with the icy wind you find a disguise.
You burn me like sun that burns up
In the blue abyss.
With the ink of my emotions
You write a song of Fire and Ice. ~ Jaishree Garg
Fire And Ice quotes by Jaishree Garg
Angels, demons, sex. Heaven, hell, war. Blood and royalty, history and magic, fire and ice. And a story you cannot put down. This is fantasy at its best. ~ Stephen Graham Jones
Fire And Ice quotes by Stephen Graham Jones
One cannot expect to travel far without faith. ~ Erin Forbes
Fire And Ice quotes by Erin Forbes
i think i love fire and ice by robert frost not because it deals with the end of all things, but because it deals with love. love can destroy all things when you have it, or it can destroy all things when you do not. it can either save you, or kill you. there are many kinds of love: the love with someone who fits you, and meets all of your needs. this can create a contentment that makes you happy and full. there is a more dangerous form of love. this love is kin to obsession, possession, and desire. you cannot breathe without their beings there. you cannot think, but of them. they plague you, and creep into everything you do until you despair of it. then one day you realize, not only did losing them create the most beautiful way of finding who they truly were, but it created you as you are. they made you something greater than you were. love is sickness, but it is the kind of sickness that makes life worth living. you realize that not only can you now live with them, but you can live without them, and you can stand beside them, while letting them have their freedom. The deep desire to hold them higher sits so deep in your soul that you would give your life to have them be no one other than the person you have come to see them as. faults and all, because no they aren't perfect, but who should be? ~ Jennifer Megan Varnadore
Fire And Ice quotes by Jennifer Megan Varnadore
And they rode for home. His ice had thawed. Her fire had calmed. They'd thrived alone, but there'd been no happiness.
Together they were better, stronger, wiser, more faithful.
Together they'd forged their fire and ice into the warmth of true love. ~ Mary Connealy
Fire And Ice quotes by Mary Connealy
She is no longer a woman of moderation. She is illuminated. She is fire and ice. She is passion, excitement and joy. ~ Menna Van Praag
Fire And Ice quotes by Menna Van Praag
When you play a game of thrones you win or you die. ~ George R R Martin
Fire And Ice quotes by George R R Martin
He's like fire and ice and rage. He's like the night, and the storm in the heart of the sun. He's ancient and forever. He burns at the center of time and he can see the turn of the universe. And ... he's wonderful. - Tim Latimer ~ Paul Cornell
Fire And Ice quotes by Paul Cornell
The kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the violent take it by force. Such force demands an equal response, and Jesus is going to make war on everything that hinders love, with his eyes blazing fire. ~ Lou Engle
Fire And Ice quotes by Lou Engle
I have had so many Dwellings, Nat, that I know these Streets as well as a strowling Beggar: I was born in this Nest of Death and Contagion and now, as they say, I have learned to feather it. When first I was with Sir Chris. I found lodgings in Phenix Street off Hogg Lane, close by St Giles and Tottenham Fields, and then in later times I was lodged at the corner of Queen Street and Thames Street, next to the Blew Posts in Cheapside. (It is still there, said Nat stirring up from his Seat, I have passed it!) In the time before the Fire, Nat, most of the buildings in London were made of timber and plaister, and stones were so cheap that a man might have a cart-load of them for six-pence or seven-pence; but now, like the Aegyptians, we are all for Stone. (And Nat broke in, I am for Stone!) The common sort of People gawp at the prodigious Rate of Building and exclaim to each other London is now another City or that House was not there Yesterday or the Situacion of the Streets is quite Changd (I contemn them when they say such things! Nat adds). But this Capital City of the World of Affliction is still the Capitol of Darknesse, or the Dungeon of Man's Desires: still in the Centre are no proper Streets nor Houses but a Wilderness of dirty rotten Sheds, allways tumbling or takeing Fire, with winding crooked passages, lakes of Mire and rills of stinking Mud, as befits the smokey grove of Moloch. (I have heard of that Gentleman, says Nat all a quiver). It is true that in what we call th ~ Peter Ackroyd
Fire And Ice quotes by Peter Ackroyd
Before I knew it, the first animal had entered the chute. Various cowboys were at different positions around the animal and began carrying out their respective duties. Tim looked at me and yelled, "Stick it in!" With utter trepidation, I slid the wand deep into the steer's rectum. This wasn't natural. This wasn't normal. At least it wasn't for me. This was definitely against God's plan.
I was supposed to check the monitor and announce if the temperature was above ninety-degrees. The first one was fine. But before I had a chance to remove the probe, Tim set the hot branding iron against the steer's left hip. The animal let out a guttural Mooooooooooooo!, and as he did, the contents of its large intestine emptied all over my hand and forearm.
Tim said, "Okay, Ree, you can take it out now." I did. I didn't know what to do. My arm was covered in runny, stinky cow crap. Was this supposed to happen? Should I say anything? I glanced at my sister, who was looking at me, completely horrified.
The second animal entered the chute. The routine began again. I stuck it in. Tim branded. The steer bellowed. The crap squirted out. I was amazed at how consistent and predictable the whole nasty process was, and how nonchalant everyone--excluding my sister--was acting. But then slowly…surely…I began to notice something.
On about the twentieth animal, I began inserting the thermometer. Tim removed his branding iron from the fire and brought it toward the steer's hip. At the la ~ Ree Drummond
Fire And Ice quotes by Ree Drummond
It's only that ye looked so beautiful, wi' the fire on your face, and your hair waving in the wind. I wanted to remember it. ~ Diana Gabaldon
Fire And Ice quotes by Diana Gabaldon
Some people are happy to exist, and other people are happy to exit. If you're wondering why everyone is running, it's because I just pulled the fire alarm. ~ Jarod Kintz
Fire And Ice quotes by Jarod Kintz
A lot of people don't have fond memories of high school. It's often a war of politics and personalities, set off by the cannon fire of hormones. ~ Nora Roberts
Fire And Ice quotes by Nora Roberts
Value your parabatai," he said. "For it is a precious bond. All love is precious. It is why we do what we do. Why do we fight demons? Why are they not fit custodians of this world? What makes us better? It is because they do not build, but destroy. They do not love, but hate only. We are human and fallible, we Shadowhunters. But if we did not have the capability to love, we could not guard humans; we must love to guard them. My parabatai, he loved like few ever could love, with all and everything. I see you are like that too; it burns more brightly in you than the fire of Heaven ~ Cassandra Clare
Fire And Ice quotes by Cassandra Clare
Watch now," Handful told her. "This rabbit goes under the log, and this rabbit goes over the log. You make them hop like that all the way down. See, that's how you make a plait - hop over, hop under." Nina took possession of the rabbits and the log and created a remarkably passable braid. Handful and I oohed and ahhed as if she'd carved a Florentine statue. It was a winter evening like so many others that passed in quiet predictability: the room flushed with lamplight, a fire nesting on the grate, an early dark flattening against the windows, while my two companions fussed over me at the dresser. ~ Sue Monk Kidd
Fire And Ice quotes by Sue Monk Kidd
Sometimes when I was starting a new story and I could not get it going, I would sit in front of the fire and squeeze the peel of the little oranges into the edge of the flame and watch the sputter of blue that they made. I would stand and look out over the roofs of Paris and think, "Do not worry. You have always written before and you will write now. All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence that you know." So finally I would write one true sentence, and then go on from there. It was easy then because there was always one true sentence that I knew or had seen or had heard someone say. If I started to write elaborately, or like someone introducing or presenting something, I found that I could cut that scrollwork or ornament out and throw it away and start with the first true simple declarative sentence I had written. ~ Ernest Hemingway,
Fire And Ice quotes by Ernest Hemingway,
In the end," Callum said, his voice soft, gentle, "it all comes back to you. You protect them [your pack], you love them, you live for them, and someday, you die. That's what it means, Bryn-girl, to be what we are [to be Alpha]. It's lonely. It's impossible. It's all-consuming." It is what it is. ~ Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Fire And Ice quotes by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
Once his hair was smooth and free of mats, Martise ran the comb through it for sheer pleasure. He had beautiful hair, straight and black and falling to his waist. It spread across a strong back and wide shoulders, dampening his shirt to a transparent thinness. She slid her hand under its weight and caressed his nape with light strokes of the comb. His shoulders slumped, and he lowered his head in mute invitation for her to continue. He breathed deep, relaxing under her touch. Martise was anything but relaxed. She was on fire, recalling those moments in the library when he'd given her a taste of the passion burning within him. He was her dreams manifested, a bright and volatile star in a winter sky. ~ Grace Draven
Fire And Ice quotes by Grace Draven
Philosophy should come to know the dimensions, qualities and quantities of the earth, the depths of the sea, the capacity of fire and the effects and nature of all these things in order to admire, revere and praise the divine artistry and intelligence. ~ Asclepius
Fire And Ice quotes by Asclepius
I would like to share my life with you," he said. "I would like to marry you and have children with you. I would like you to help teach my boys to become fine young men. I want to walk through the woods with you and fall asleep with you beside the light of a fire. ~ Elizabeth Camden
Fire And Ice quotes by Elizabeth Camden
Fire is bright and fire is clean. ~ Ray Bradbury
Fire And Ice quotes by Ray Bradbury
He showed the fineness of his nature by being kinder to me after that misunderstanding than before. Nay, the very incident which, by my theory, must in some degree estrange me and him, changed, indeed, somewhat our relations; but not in the sense I painfully anticipated. An invisible, but a cold something, very slight, very transparent, but very chill: a sort of screen of ice had hitherto, all through our two lives, glazed the medium through which we exchanged intercourse. Those few warm words, though only warm with anger, breathed on that frail frost-work of reserve; about this time, it gave note of dissolution. I think from that day, so long as we continued friends, he never in discourse stood on topics of ceremony with me. ~ Charlotte Bronte
Fire And Ice quotes by Charlotte Bronte
For in politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword. Heresies in either can rarely be cured by persecution. And ~ Alexander Hamilton
Fire And Ice quotes by Alexander Hamilton
Elliott took a long, deep breath. "Look. We seem to have had a misunderstanding.…"

"Really?" Eyes snapping fire, Simone faced him. "Really. A misunderstanding. What part of 'I don't want to see you again, and I don't want you to come to my office' did I misunderstand? Because it seemed pretty fucking crystal to me."

He winced. "No. That part was right. ~ Megan Hart
Fire And Ice quotes by Megan Hart
Yes, the issue was courage. It always had been, even as a kid. Things scared him. He couldn't help it. Noise scared him, dark scared him. Tunnels scared him: the time he almost won the Silver Star for valor. But the real issue was courage. It had nothing to do with the Silver Star...Oh, he would've liked winning it, true, but that wasn't the issue. He would've liked showing the medal to his father, the heavy feel of it, looking his father in the eye to show he had been brave, but even that wasn't the real issue. The real issue was the power of will to defeat fear. A matter of figuring a way to do it. Somehow working his way into that secret chamber of the human heart, where, in tangles, lay the circuitry for all that was possible, the full range of what a man might be. He believed, like Doc Peret, that somewhere inside each man is a biological center for the exercise of courage, a piece of tissue that might be touched and sparked and made to respond, a chemical maybe, or a lone chromosome that when made to fire would produce a blaze of valor that even the biles could not extinguish. A filament, a fuse, that if ignited would release the full energy of what might be. There was a Silver Star twinkling somewhere inside him. ~ Tim O'Brien
Fire And Ice quotes by Tim O'Brien
I could not do it. I would not do it. I sat back on my heels with the book in my hand with the light of the fire flickering and dying down and realized that not even in mortal danger could I bring myself to burn a book. ~ Philippa Gregory
Fire And Ice quotes by Philippa Gregory
I think when people say 'real hip-hop,' they want it more buried in the streets. They want it more connected to the streets and the grime and the roughness of the streets. They don't want the fluff. ~ Ice-T
Fire And Ice quotes by Ice-T
The snow is coming," she said. "Soon it will be snow time. Together then as in other snow times. Drinking busthead 'round the fire. Truth is a locked room that we knock the lock off from time to time, and then board up again. Tomorrow you will hurt me, and I will inform you that you have done so, and so on and so on. To hell with it. Come, viridian friend, come and sup with me. ~ Donald Barthelme
Fire And Ice quotes by Donald Barthelme
Wanting things for the wrong reasons can turn anyone's life into a marshmallow on a stick over a hot fire: impossibly messy and eventually consumed, one way or another. ~ Deb Caletti
Fire And Ice quotes by Deb Caletti
Once upon a time, before chimaera and seraphim, there was the sun and the moons. The sun was betrothed to Nitid, the bright sister, but it was demure Ellai, always hiding behind her bold sister, who stirred his lust. He contrived upon her bathing in the sea and he took her. She struggled, but he was the sun, and he thought he should have what he wanted. Ellai stabbed him and escaped, and the blood of the sun flew like sparks to earth, where it became seraphim- misbegotten children of fire. And like their father, they believed it their due to want, and take, and have.

As for Ellai, she told her sister what had passed, and Nitid wept, and her tears fell to earth and became chimeara, children of regret.

When the sun came again to the sisters, neither would have him. Nitid put Ellai behind her and protected her, though the sun, still bleeding sparks, knew Ellai was not as defenseless as she seemed. He plead with Nitid to forgive him but she refused, and to this day he follows the sisters across the sky, wanting and wanting and never having, and that will be his punishment, forever.

Nitid is the goddess of tears and life, hunts and war, and her temples are too many to count. It is she who fills wombs, slows the hearts of the dying, and leads her children against the serephim. Her light is like a small sun; she chases away shadows.

Ellai is more subtle. She is a trace, a phantom moon, and there are only a handful of nights she alone take ~ Laini Taylor
Fire And Ice quotes by Laini Taylor
If we are serious about change, we have to dig - preferably with plenty of company and with a full appreciation of the fact that although we did not start the fire, it belongs to us now. ~ Allan G. Johnson
Fire And Ice quotes by Allan G. Johnson
Him the Almighty Power
Hurled headlong naming from the ethereal sky,
With hideous ruin and combustion, down
To bottomless perdition ; there to dwell
In adamantine chains and penal fire,
Who durst defy the Omnipotent to arms. ~ John Milton
Fire And Ice quotes by John Milton
BACK IN SCHOOL, I loved ending stories that way. It's the perfect conclusion, isn't it? Billy went to school. He had a good day. Then he died. The end. It doesn't leave you hanging. It wraps everything up nice and neat. Except in my case, it didn't. Maybe you're thinking, Oh, Magnus, you didn't really die. Otherwise you couldn't be narrating this story. You just came close. Then you were miraculously rescued, blah, blah, blah. Nope. I actually died. One hundred percent: guts impaled, vital organs burned, head smacked into a frozen river from forty feet up, every bone in my body broken, lungs filled with ice water. The medical term for that is dead. Gee, Magnus, what did it feel like? It hurt. A lot. Thanks for asking. I ~ Rick Riordan
Fire And Ice quotes by Rick Riordan
Smoke fills the room, gray and sylphlike, lovely in its deadly grace. It trails into the fire and forms what appear to be wings - black and magnificent. A man's silhouette fills out the image, two arms reaching for me.
Morpheus, or a mirage?
My mind trips back to our dance across the starlit sky in Wonderland, how amazing it felt to be so free. What would it feel like to dance with him in the middle of a blazing inferno, surrounded by an endless power that breathes and grows at our will? ~ A.G. Howard
Fire And Ice quotes by A.G. Howard
The fire? It has been alive as long as I have. We talk and think together all night long. It's like a book to me – the only book I ever learned to read; and many an old story it tells me. It's music, for I should know its voice among a thousand, and there are other voices in its roar. It has its pictures too. You don't know how many strange faces and different scenes I trace in the red-hot coals. It's my memory, that fire, and shows me all my life. ~ Charles Dickens
Fire And Ice quotes by Charles Dickens
I believe in nature, in science, in jazz, in dancing. And I believe in people. In their resilience, in their goodness. This is my credo; this is my hymn. Maybe it's not enough for heaven, and maybe I'm even wrong. But if I can walk through the fire and, with blistered skin, still have faith in better days? I have to believe that's good enough. ~ Emery Lord
Fire And Ice quotes by Emery Lord
The good stars met in your horoscope,
Made you of spirit and fire and dew. ~ Robert Browning
Fire And Ice quotes by Robert Browning
A soul so pitiably forlorn, If such do on this earth abide, May season apathy with scorn, May turn indifference to pride; And still be not unblest- compared With him who grovels, self-debarred From all that lies within the scope Of holy faith and christian hope; Or, shipwrecked, kindles on the coast False fires, that others may be lost. ~ William Wordsworth
Fire And Ice quotes by William Wordsworth
The climate of this planet has been changing since God put the planet here. It will always change, and the warming in the last 10 years is not much difference than the warming we saw in the 1930s and other decades. And, lets not forget we are at the end of the ice age in which ice covered most of North America and Northern Europe. ~ James Spann
Fire And Ice quotes by James Spann
For if you try to forget yourself, force your heart and thoughts to become indifferent to the sight before you and take share of that entity which seems like one of the courses of the meal. ~ Auliq Ice
Fire And Ice quotes by Auliq Ice
Over mochi ice cream, Grandma tells us about all the places she wants to take us in Korea: the Buddhist temples, the outdoor food markets, the skin clinic where she goes to get her moles lasered off. She points at a tiny mole on Kitty's cheek and says, "We'll get that taken care of."
Daddy looks alarmed, and Trina's quick to ask, "Isn't she too young?"
Grandma waves her hand. "She'll be fine."
Then Kitty asks, "How old do you have to be to get a nose job in Korea?" and Daddy nearly chokes on his beer.
Grandma gives her a threatening look. "You can never, ever change your nose. You have a lucky nose."
Kitty touches it gingerly. "I do?"
"Very lucky," Grandma says. "If you change your nose, you'll change your luck. So never do it."
I touch my own nose. Grandma's never said anything about my nose being lucky. ~ Jenny Han
Fire And Ice quotes by Jenny Han
Denna rolled herself into my blanket and curled up with her back to the fire. "I will allow you to ponder my vast cleverness while I sleep. Wake me when you need anything else figured out. ~ Patrick Rothfuss
Fire And Ice quotes by Patrick Rothfuss
There was no safe place in all the world for me. My stomach was filled with ice water. Hearing Domini was the final straw. Something in me broke. All the King's horses and all the King's men would never be able to put me back together again. ~ Damien Echols
