And with just 4 minutes gone, the score is already 0-0. ~ Ian Darke
Eastleigh Football quotes by Ian Darke
When the Olympics and World Cups come around, that's when you see the real outpouring of support that there really is for female football. ~ Hope Solo
Eastleigh Football quotes by Hope Solo
Arsenal will always have a place in my heart and that is the same for so many other people too. There's a strong sense of 'family' at the Club and it is why those people that leave so often find their way back, to be around that feeling and I believe that even when you go a bit of you never leaves Arsenal anyway, that is how it has been for me. I'm just so glad that I've been able to be part of the story of the football club. ~ Thierry Henry
Eastleigh Football quotes by Thierry Henry
I'd write over and over, 'I will not throw into coverage.' ~ Brett Favre
Eastleigh Football quotes by Brett Favre
The first time you quit, it's hard. The second time, it gets easier. The third time, you don't even have to think about it. ~ Bear Bryant
Eastleigh Football quotes by Bear Bryant
Sitting eating sushi in the city, incredibly chilled out reading Nietzsche. ~ Joey Barton
Eastleigh Football quotes by Joey Barton
Damn. Totally forgot. Guess I just got my man card yanked for not realizing football season had started. In my defense, I am a college fan (Go Longhorns!) and they don't follow the same schedule as the NFL. I'm from the South, what can I say? It's all about the college ball down here. I glanced up at the TV to see the Cowboys were indeed playing, and shook my head. Not a fan. Nope. ~ C.J. Pinard
Eastleigh Football quotes by C.J. Pinard
I am not better than anyone else just because I play football. ~ Tim Tebow
Eastleigh Football quotes by Tim Tebow
In football, if you don't score a goal then you cannot win. ~ Roberto Mancini
Eastleigh Football quotes by Roberto Mancini
Q: Which party had wildest celebration and how did it play out?

1) The 1972 Dolphins Super Bowl watching party for the David Tyree catch?

2) The Jack Nicklaus day after Thanksgiving morning in 2009?

3) The NFL referee Monday night football watching party at Ed Hochuli's house for the Seattle/Green Bay game?
- Steve G., Salt Lake City

SG: Here's my theory on the day after Thanksgiving in 2009: I think Jack Nicklaus heard the news, went out and bought a bottle of 20-year-old Pappy Van Winkle, found an antique shotgun with 300 rounds of ammo, then drove to a secluded spot in the woods 25 miles away from any other human being. He got out of his car, started jumping around and screaming like he won the Super Bowl, did this for 20 solid minutes, then started swigging whiskey and shooting at things while whooping it up. Eventually, he drank the entire bottle, got back into his car and just started happily ramming into trees until the car stopped moving. Then he passed out in the driver's seat, woke up the next morning and walked home. Anyway, my answer is Jack Nicklaus. ~ Bill Simmons Grantland Mailbag Oct. 28 2012
Eastleigh Football quotes by Bill Simmons Grantland Mailbag Oct. 28 2012
In my teams, the goalie is the first attacker, and the striker the first defender. ~ Johan Cruijff
Eastleigh Football quotes by Johan Cruijff
But before Derby go, would they mind telling the rest of the Premier League - the league which it has debased with its pathetically-inadequate presence for the past 12 months - where the money has gone? You know, the £30m or so in prize money that every team, even the one at the bottom of the table from August to May, automatically receives by being in the Premier League ... So what happened to that money? Or put another way, why was such a meaningless fraction of it spent on recruiting new players? It's one thing not to compete; it's quite another not to even attempt to do so. ~ Pete Gill
Eastleigh Football quotes by Pete Gill
Well, you missed out on some important protocol, Ella. You can't stand between a Texan and his power tools. We like them. Big ones that drain the national grid. We also like truck-stop breakfasts, large moving objects, Monday night football, and the missionary position. We don't drink light beer, drive Smart cars, or admit to knowing the names of more than about five or six colors. And we don't wax our chests, ever. ~ Lisa Kleypas
Eastleigh Football quotes by Lisa Kleypas
Yorkie has officially retired about 5 times ... The man's a clown ... People are going on about the game and agents and directors of football and managers losing their jobs, but we should be worried about people like him ... Clowns. That's the last time I'm going to say clown ... If he's the vice-president of FIFA, God help us all. ~ Roy Keane
Eastleigh Football quotes by Roy Keane
I love that red wine is good for you. Isn't that cool? I want to hear more of this. I want to hear more things in life like, Red wine, in conjunction with a lap dance, while watching NFL football, is the best cardiovascular workout you can have. ~ Dom Irrera
Eastleigh Football quotes by Dom Irrera
To borrow a simile from the football field, we believe that men must play fair, but that there must be no shirking, and that the success can only come to the player who hits the line hard. ~ Theodore Roosevelt
Eastleigh Football quotes by Theodore Roosevelt
Whoever invented soccer should be worshipped as God. ~ Hugo Sanchez
Eastleigh Football quotes by Hugo Sanchez
Does it matter?
losing your legs? ...
For people will always be kind,
And you need not show that you mind
When the others come in after football
To gobble their muffins and eggs.
Does it matter?
losing your sight? ...
There's such splendid work for the blind;
And people will always be kind,
As you sit on the terrace remembering
And turning your face to the light.
Do they matter?
those dreams from the pit? ...
You can drink and forget and be glad,
And people won't say that you're mad;
For they'll know that you've fought for your country,
And no one will worry a bit. ~ Siegfried Sassoon
Eastleigh Football quotes by Siegfried Sassoon
It is wonderful ... Steve and Dan took professional football to a whole different level with the way they played the game. The fact that Steve is going in with Dan is very special. ~ Frank Gifford
Eastleigh Football quotes by Frank Gifford
Titus Bramble: The only explanation for his existence in the Premiership is that he is already here. ~ Pete Gill
Eastleigh Football quotes by Pete Gill
In other words, the biblical writers were speaking to those who shared a rich cultural context, which shaped the way they communicated. I grew up in Detroit and share a rich cultural context with other Detroiters. When I say words like lions, tigers, and wings, I don't have to specify that I mean the professional football, baseball, and hockey teams. Fellow Detroiters get it because we share a rich cultural context. ~ Ken Wilson
Eastleigh Football quotes by Ken Wilson
I had discovered after the Swindon game that loyalty, at least in football terms, was not a moral choice like bravery or kindness; it was more like a wart or a hump, something you were stuck with. Marriages are nowhere near as rigid - you won't catch any Arsenal fans slipping off to Tottenham for a bit of extra-marital slap and tickle, and though divorce is a possibility (you can just stop going if things get too bad), getting hitched again is out of the question. ~ Nick Hornby
Eastleigh Football quotes by Nick Hornby
Lifting weights is obviously important, because you want to be strong and fast and all of that, but it's not one of those things you gotta go and try to bench as much as you can every day. A bench press isn't going to help you throw a 15-yard out or a deep comeback. It's not about that. It's about training right. ~ Mark Sanchez
Eastleigh Football quotes by Mark Sanchez
I remember my dad, who coached football, would buy some of his players football shoes when they couldn't afford it. ~ Chaske Spencer
Eastleigh Football quotes by Chaske Spencer
This may sound arrogant, but I believe that if we'd done teamship better, we'd still be there. Where we fell down was the inability to hold together. We should have learnt from the great football teams. The players may not like each other. They have egos, they have their own ambitions, they have different personalities, but they are still bloody good teams. ~ Alastair Campbell
Eastleigh Football quotes by Alastair Campbell
One reason I won't compromise is because I believe honesty helps you win over the long haul. You can win a game tomorrow and lose a team. You can lose a game tomorrow and win a football team. ~ Lou Holtz
Eastleigh Football quotes by Lou Holtz
He reached across the car and took my hand. "I know I haven't been around as much," he said, "but after today, my schedule won't be so busy."
"I understand," I said softly. And I did. "Football is your life. It's your dream."
He made a sound. "You're just as important to me."
I smiled. "I have to admit I won't be upset when this game is over and all the girls around here stop wearing your number all over their bodies."
His white teeth flashed. "Is someone jealous?"
I snorted.
His smile grew wider.
"Maybe a little," I admitted.
He lunged forward and in seconds had me in his lap, my legs straddling him so we were face to face. He buried his hands in my tangled disaster of hair. I admit I hadn't even brushed it when we got out of bed this morning.
"You're my favorite girl," he whispered.
"I better be your only girl."
He smiled. "That too. ~ Cambria Hebert
Eastleigh Football quotes by Cambria Hebert
Jem's fears of never being able to play football were assuaged, he was seldom self-conscious about his injury. His left arm was somewhat shorter than his right; ~ Harper Lee
Eastleigh Football quotes by Harper Lee
I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose. ~ Woody Hayes
Eastleigh Football quotes by Woody Hayes
I've got four brothers, so with them and all our friends we had these sports parties in the basement. We'd play basketball, mini-sticks, baseball in the backyard, football, whatever it was. We were busy 24/7. ~ Rob Gronkowski
Eastleigh Football quotes by Rob Gronkowski
When I was a kid, I was always an athlete. I played a lot of sports. I played football, basketball, baseball and soccer. ~ Scott Caan
Eastleigh Football quotes by Scott Caan
Q: Is 30 Rock the most racist show on television? A: No, in my opinion it's NFL football. Why do they portray all those guys as murderers and rapists? ~ Tina Fey
Eastleigh Football quotes by Tina Fey
I'm not a video game guy. I would rather throw around a football. ~ Jeremy Piven
