My biggest regret? Well, I got my boobs done in my early 20's and if I had known it would or could possibly have impacted production of milk, I would never have had them done. I love being a mom. ~ Tori Spelling
Early 20s quotes by Tori Spelling
When I was in my early 20s, I looked towards exterior things to make me feel sexy - guys, clothes, shoes, etc. Now it's all about how I feel internally. ~ Sarah Shahi
Early 20s quotes by Sarah Shahi
Rey's parents left her at 5, and we meet her when she's late teens or early 20s, and for someone to keep hopeful that there's a better life to come, I think, is astounding. Though she starts off alone, she very much finds her place in a group of people, and that's lovely. ~ Daisy Ridley
Early 20s quotes by Daisy Ridley
Recently I read the stories I wrote in my early 20s, to put in a volume. And here is this brittle young woman, writing about marriage as, not the worst thing, but the most boring thing that could happen to a person. Now I think I was wrong. I like to be proven wrong. ~ Anne Enright
Early 20s quotes by Anne Enright
It's true that many of the leaders who started at non-elite colleges as undergrads later attended prominent graduate schools in law, business, medicine, and so on. But the point is that they found their own way there - as young men and women in their early 20s, not teenagers pressed into action by parents and peers. ~ Nina Easton
Early 20s quotes by Nina Easton
I was in my early 20s and open to alternative lifestyles. I thought, 'I bet you get a lot of attractive, interesting women in a vegetarian co-op.' ~ John Mackey
Early 20s quotes by John Mackey
In my late teens, early 20s, when I started stand-up and I was living downtown for the first time, I was deep into my blues and Bukowski phase. And, you know, that's when that's appropriate. And I grew out of it. ~ Paul F. Tompkins
Early 20s quotes by Paul F. Tompkins
My grandfather was from outside of Moscow, and my grandmother, although some of her family were French, was from Odessa. They met as immigrants in New York in the early '20s. My mother's family came over from Ireland generations ago. ~ Alexis Denisof
Early 20s quotes by Alexis Denisof
My grandfather, Harry, died when my dad was in his early 20s, so I never met him. Amazingly, he was 6ft tall. That gene definitely never filtered down to me! ~ Jamie Cullum
Early 20s quotes by Jamie Cullum
In my early 20s, connecting with fiction was a difficult process. There seemed to be little rhyme or reason to what was meaningful, what convinced, and what made sense. ~ Sarah Hall
Early 20s quotes by Sarah Hall
In the early '20s, with the war over, there was a period of celebration, and you can see it in the fashion. ~ Michelle Dockery
Early 20s quotes by Michelle Dockery
Here I found myself in my early 20s, at the height of my career, up against something I was totally powerless against. I had enemies I had never heard of because of this. I certainly didn't have needles hanging out of my arms, nor did I smoke anything. ~ Irene Cara
Early 20s quotes by Irene Cara
I've changed my life in a lot of ways. I'm a mom, a wife, and a Christian. Some of the things I expressed in my early 20s aren't what I care to express right now. ~ Cheryl James
Early 20s quotes by Cheryl James
It amazes me when I talk to people in their early 20s and they've never read the classics, things we read as children. When you don't have knowledge and understanding, then fear rises in you. ~ Madonna Ciccone
Early 20s quotes by Madonna Ciccone
Many actresses do that kind of shoot when they are in their early 20s but I didn't think I had anything to worry about so I decided to go for it. I was very pleased with the results and it was also nice to surprise a few people. ~ Sharon Stone
Early 20s quotes by Sharon Stone
When I was in my early 20s, my dream was to write mystery novels. I wanted to do what my favourite crime writer, Ross Macdonald, did - crank out a book a year. The only problem - and it was a considerable one - was that I stank. ~ Linwood Barclay
Early 20s quotes by Linwood Barclay
The first snowball I froze was put in my mother's deep freeze when I was in my early 20s. ~ Andy Goldsworthy
Early 20s quotes by Andy Goldsworthy
When I was prepping for my Broadway debut as Romeo, it really hit me that I had never done that. I had trained at drama school for three years in my late teens to early 20s, and I'd studied Shakespeare, of course, but I hadn't actually performed it. So to do something like Romeo for my first Broadway role was a challenge. ~ Orlando Bloom
Early 20s quotes by Orlando Bloom
People in their early 20s are invariably weird. ~ Steve Pavlina
Early 20s quotes by Steve Pavlina

I went through a normal kind of late teens, early 20s drinking, but it was a choice I made, because I didn't think it was very good for my life. ~ Christina Ricci
Early 20s quotes by Christina Ricci
The video for 'Whatever' is kind of a documentary in a way. It's showing that love can last. Not just in your early 20s or your late 30s, but in your 50s, 60s and 70s. There's an awful myth out there that when you get married, love and lovemaking fade. It's not true. ~ Jill Scott
Early 20s quotes by Jill Scott
I've heard this before from people: early 20s kind of screws with your head a little bit because you're transitioning into adulthood and actually becoming an adult with responsibilities and paying bills. So all of a sudden, it's like you're responsible now. ~ Dan Byrd
Early 20s quotes by Dan Byrd
My gaze slid across every face and stopped abruptly when I saw an Angelic faced woman who appeared to be in her early 20s. She had waist length hair as black as night.
And eyes that were emerald green with a gold tint to them. When her gaze met mine, she screamed and fell to her knees her gaze never leaving mine. I didn't realize that I too was on my knees until Mark bend down asking if I was alright. I didn't answer him, because I didn't know for all I knew I was in heaven looking into an Angel's eyes.

- Matthew Michaelson ~ Katerina Chenevert
Early 20s quotes by Katerina Chenevert
I had self-esteem issues into my early 20s. ~ Adam Lambert
Early 20s quotes by Adam Lambert
During the late 1910s and early '20s, immigrant workers at the Ford automotive plant in Dearborn, Michigan, were given free, compulsory "Americanization" classes. In addition to English lessons, there were lectures on work habits, personal hygiene, and table manners. The first sentence they memorized was "I am a good American. ~ Anne Fadiman
Early 20s quotes by Anne Fadiman
I remember in my early 20s when I felt I couldn't live past 30. I was learning how to write. I had a lot of hard work ahead of me. ~ Carl Sandburg
Early 20s quotes by Carl Sandburg
I didn't have a teenage or early-20s experience that was free and without worry. I missed the screw-everything, have-a-good-time phase. ~ Sandra Bullock
Early 20s quotes by Sandra Bullock
My views in my early 20's and kept me separate from those around me. Those views were all about making myself feel significant by bringing other people down. I thought having special problems made me special. Problems don't make people special. Solving them does.
My views created an Us-vs-Them perspective of the world. Solving my problem required finding more Us people and to avoid Them. I wanted a special club of Us people. The problem was that all the Us people I found thought that their problems were more unique than the other Us people. We never bonded. We were still separating ourselves by one-upping each other about the uniqueness of our problems.
The upside to Us-Vs-Them is that we feel special being Us. Unfortunately feeling special doesn't outweigh the significant downside.
There will always be more Them than Us
There has to be. Otherwise, the exclusively club of Us wouldn't be exclusive. So to maintain the exclusivity, we make more rules in our head to keep others out. We become more dependent on less people and are devastated when those people don't reciprocate by valuing our friendship with the same mindfulness.
Finding more people to connect with seems beyond our control because we automatically put everyone in the Them column and wait for people to work their way into the Us column. The problem is no one wants to have to prove themselves in order to become friends. We end up waiting and waiting. ~ Corin
Early 20s quotes by Corin
If you are lucky, there is a moment in your life when you have some say as to what your currency is going to be. I decided early on it was not going to be my looks. I have spent a lifetime coming to terms with this idea and I would say I am about 15 to 20 percent there. Which I think is great progress. ~ Amy Poehler
Early 20s quotes by Amy Poehler
I first tried a novel when I was 14. First finished one when I was 16. First started working on stuff that had a chance of being salable in my early 20s, then didn't write much fiction at all because I was in grad school. ~ Harry Turtledove
Early 20s quotes by Harry Turtledove
My dad moved to London in his early 20s and didn't really go back. So the irony is I've spent lots and lots of time in Ireland, but not with my dad. I've shot films in Belfast, where he's from. And I've shot in Dun Laoghaire. Which is great. And I've shot in Dublin. ~ Imogen Poots
Early 20s quotes by Imogen Poots
I'm in L.A., I'm in my early 20s, and I'm like, 'There are so many pretty girls here! Let's Marvin Gaye and get it on!' ~ Charlie Puth
Early 20s quotes by Charlie Puth
There was a time, in my early 20s, when I picked up the trumpet and said, 'I've got to change what I'm doing.' I wasn't putting enough air through the horn. The tone I wanted was bigger than what I had. I was out of control. ~ Paul Smoker
Early 20s quotes by Paul Smoker
When I was in my early 20s, I had my hair permed. Bad idea! It turned into total frizz. My advice to women is, if you have nice hair already, don't get a perm, leave your hair alone! ~ Mariska Hargitay
Early 20s quotes by Mariska Hargitay
In my early 20s, I didn't even know what the Groundlings was. I had no idea. But I know how to break down a script and work on the character. ~ Rachael Harris
Early 20s quotes by Rachael Harris
When I was in my early 20s, I was quite into Japanese animation. It's like the same thing that I end up always saying which is, imagery based stuff is the thing that really gets me. ~ Neill Blomkamp
Early 20s quotes by Neill Blomkamp
I admired fashion but I wasn't an "iconic fashionista" myself. I think as I got more comfortable in my skin, then I got a little bit more into fashion, but it's always been something I've been interested in because you can express yourself through what you wear and your accessories and everything else. So getting into my early 20s was really started to come into myself. ~ Erin Brady
Early 20s quotes by Erin Brady
Well, I'm also like 23 and playing 16. So maybe when I'm 30 I'll be playing characters in their early 20s. I don't know. ~ Amy Smart
Early 20s quotes by Amy Smart
There was a time in my late teens and early 20s where I was motivated by this wanting to get out, to prove to the world that I had something to offer - that kind of youthful spirit, where maybe I had my eye on fame and fortune. I mellowed out in my late 20s and now that I'm in my early 30s, I'm coming to peace with it. ~ Lissie
Early 20s quotes by Lissie
The older I get, I'm definitely getting pulled towards the West Coast, because it's a different quality of life. New York is great when you're in your early 20s and you're running around and it's really fun, but it's a place for me to get things done. ~ Erin Wasson
Early 20s quotes by Erin Wasson
You know, I went out on a normal amount of dates in my early 20s, and I got absolutely slaughtered for it. And it took a lot of hard work and altering my decision-making. I didn't date for two and a half years. Should I have had to do that? No. ~ Taylor Swift
Early 20s quotes by Taylor Swift
Friends of friends had bands in college or in their early 20s and had a moment where they had some kind of interest from a record label or manager. It's always interesting how people handle those decisions and those moments. ~ Noah Baumbach
Early 20s quotes by Noah Baumbach
The early '20s were like the waist of an hourglass. Lots of things were hurtling toward it and squeezing through it and then hurtling out the other side. ~ Sarah Waters
Early 20s quotes by Sarah Waters
When I was in my early 20s, I studied tae kwon do and hapkido. I earned brown belts in both of them. ~ Karen Bass
Early 20s quotes by Karen Bass
When I was a teen, or like 18 to early 20s, I used to go to festivals all the time. I'd save all my money. ~ Courtney Barnett
Early 20s quotes by Courtney Barnett
When I moved to SF in my early 20s, I loved it, but I was absolutely astonished to discover that people there hated L.A. I was just like why? Really? I had no idea. ~ Matthew Specktor
Early 20s quotes by Matthew Specktor
I'm just grateful I didn't have to spend my early 20s in front of paparazzi cameras. ~ Amy Adams
Early 20s quotes by Amy Adams
When you're in your early 20s, you go ahead and do everything. And it's very hard to judge yourself. ~ Ian McShane
Early 20s quotes by Ian McShane
I never felt like I had anything really figured out. When I was a teenager, it was all about teenagers having an 'identity crisis.' That was the phrase that was used. But in my early 20s, I was still like, 'When am I going to be over that?' ~ Kim Gordon
Early 20s quotes by Kim Gordon
When I started acting in the film industry when I was 16 years old, in 1980, I was going to all the revival theaters in Los Angeles. They were playing mostly films from the '60s and '70s, some from the early '20s and '30s, before that Hays commission. Those films did question things a lot, and there definitely was a switch in 1934. You can see very distinctly in 1934, it's harder to understand what the real culture was. Films made before 1934, you can really kind of see the racism, sexism, drug use, etc. that was going on at that time. And then it was all stopped. ~ Crispin Glover
Early 20s quotes by Crispin Glover
I've only read three books by Stephen King. When I was 10 I read 'The Long Walk,' one of his pseudonymous Bachman books. In my early 20s, while trapped on a family vacation, I read 'The Dark Half,' which taught me a word I have never forgotten: psychopomp. Now I have read '11/22/63.' ~ Lev Grossman
Early 20s quotes by Lev Grossman
I set out to write a screenplay but, since my early 20s, had dreamed of writing a novel. ~ Graeme Simsion
Early 20s quotes by Graeme Simsion
In my early 20s, I had this idea that I was going to front a band, like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. I didn't just want to be the chick singing ballads about somebody breaking my heart. Everyone in the business said, 'Why don't you do what Olivia Newton-Jonn and Linda Ronstadt are doing?' But I wanted to sing as a powerful female who wasn't afraid to speak her mind or be sexual. ~ Pat Benatar
Early 20s quotes by Pat Benatar
I went to England in the '70s, and I was in my early 20s. There was still a residue of that era of being an underclass or colonial. I assume it must have been a more aggressive and prominent attitude 40 years before that, because Australia internationally wasn't regarded as having much cultural value. We were a country full of sheep and convicts. ~ Geoffrey Rush
Early 20s quotes by Geoffrey Rush
In my 20s, my mom and I went and saw the bridges of Madison County, which are in Iowa, and I had seen that movie with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. I've always done these Iowa road trips. I did this transcendental meditation course in Fairfield, Iowa. So I've known since my early 20s that someday I would buy a farm in Iowa. ~ Lissie
Early 20s quotes by Lissie
I bent my head over a stove in my early 20s and picked it up in my 30s. ~ Alexandra Guarnaschelli
Early 20s quotes by Alexandra Guarnaschelli
I think your 20s are the hardest part of life. I mean, everyone goes on about how hard it is to be a teenager, but actually I think it's tougher to be in your 20s because you're expected to be a grownup and expected to earn your own living and be successful and I think you feel like a kid still. ~ Nigel Cole
Early 20s quotes by Nigel Cole
I identify very proudly as a disabled woman. I identify with the crip community. I didn't invent the word 'crip'. It's a political ideology I came to in my late teens and early 20s. ~ Stella Young
Early 20s quotes by Stella Young
People in their early 20s are not often considered the target demographic for new plays; musicals have had much more success in exploring that coming-of-age period of life. ~ Paul Downs Colaizzo
Early 20s quotes by Paul Downs Colaizzo
When I first started writing in my early 20s it was literary criticism for a very eccentric magazine called Books And Bookmen, which allowed me to write, more or less anything. ~ Jonathan Meades
Early 20s quotes by Jonathan Meades
I think it's so important, as young women, to have relationships, especially when you're in your early 20s. But it's always so important to focus on yourself. ~ Ashley Tisdale
Early 20s quotes by Ashley Tisdale
I made a rule for myself in my early 20s not to become a record collector in the sense that I reference all my old records. I can't live like that. I'd just be trapped in comparison, trying to emulate something, so I made a rule to just buy what I need, just the records I need. ~ Jack White
Early 20s quotes by Jack White
The Beatles had a six-year career, from 1963 to 1969, which - to me, in my early 20s - seemed like a phenomenally long time. ~ Chris Squire
Early 20s quotes by Chris Squire
So many songwriters peak in their early 20s because they're living off their passions. ~ Dan Hill
Early 20s quotes by Dan Hill
I started ballet in my early 20s. I studied for about ten years. Ballet is probably the one of the hardest things I've done, almost like MMA. People don't give it a lot of credit and think it's easy, but it's very difficult. For an athlete, you use muscles you really don't use, and ballet is something I really respect. ~ Herschel Walker
Early 20s quotes by Herschel Walker
When you're in your early 20s your love life seems to explode every 20 minutes or so. By the time you've reached your thirties, it is every five or ten years. ~ Patrick Marber
Early 20s quotes by Patrick Marber
I spent my teens and early 20s shopping almost exclusively at thrift stores. ~ Zoe Lister-Jones
Early 20s quotes by Zoe Lister-Jones
I am the same artist with the same nagging questions I had in my early 20's. What's real and what isn't? How do we tell what's real in our lives? How do we see things as they are? What is my role in life? If the Signature hadn't forced the issue by devoting its season to my plays, I could at least believe I had changed. Really, they're all the same! What is SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION but THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES with money? ~ John Guare
Early 20s quotes by John Guare
All I've done is work ... I arrived in Los Angeles in my early 20s and I've been pounding the pavement ever since. ~ Jeremy Piven
Early 20s quotes by Jeremy Piven
It was only when I saw films in my early 20s by Jane Campion, Mira Nair, Sally Potter and Kathryn Bigelow, I started to think, 'Oh, it's possible.' I dared to suggest that I wanted to train to be a film director. ~ Sarah Gavron
Early 20s quotes by Sarah Gavron
The lighthearted moments of 'Girls' are really not speckled throughout and that to me is just super exciting, to be able to delve into the darkness that you are greeted with in your early 20s and the fear and what that makes you do, the places that you can potentially go with that. ~ Zosia Mamet
Early 20s quotes by Zosia Mamet
I've been a foodie most of my life. I started when I lived for a year in Germany in my early 20s, and here was this new food environment, and I decided I needed to make sense of it. And I found it was the rules of economics that do the best job. Food is a capitalist product of supply and demand. ~ Tyler Cowen
Early 20s quotes by Tyler Cowen
'Sparkle' fell into my lap. I had heard a little bit about it, that it was being redone in early 2011. I was just kind of like, 'Oh, that would be really cool,' and not really thinking too much about it, and then it came through my agency. I read it, I fell in love with the script and I went in to audition. ~ Jordin Sparks
Early 20s quotes by Jordin Sparks
Bat asks Goucher if his leg is good, and Goucher shrugs. "All right." "Good or all right?" "All right enough." Batliner has been through the ringer enough, so he gives Goucher some advice he hopes Goucher will heed, "Be brave enough to call it early. ~ Chris Lear
Early 20s quotes by Chris Lear
We always watched horror movies. As a child I remember sitting up into the early hours of the morning watching horror movies with my father. I still watch horror movies and read horror novels because they remind me of "home." Nostalgia, you could say. ~ Damien Echols
Early 20s quotes by Damien Echols
But from the start the early Christians believed that the resurrection body, though it would certainly be a body in the sense of a physical object, would be a transformed body, a body whose material, created from the old material, would have new properties. That is what Paul means by the "spiritual body": not a body made out of nonphysical spirit, but a physical body animated by the Spirit, a Spirit-driven body if you like: still what we would call physical but differently animated. ~ N. T. Wright
Early 20s quotes by N. T. Wright
The carved images on the early Minoan sealstones are tantalising, inscrutable. The Nature Goddess is yanked from the soil like a snake or a sheaf of barley; the Mistress of the Animals suckles goats and gazelles. There are male Adorants certainly - up on tiptoe, their outstretched arms hoisted in a kind of heil, their bodies arched suggestively, pelvis forward, before the Goddess - but there are no masculine deities, not a single one in sight. No woman worth her salt, one might think, could fail to be intrigued. ~ Alison Fell
Early 20s quotes by Alison Fell
The early part of my career I really struggled, getting turned down again and again. I was in debt, and it was horrible. And then my family hit such highs in their careers, I asked myself what I was thinking going into the same profession. ~ Joely Richardson
Early 20s quotes by Joely Richardson
There is much pain that is quite noiseless; and vibrations that make human agonies are often a mere whisper in the roar of hurrying existence. There are glances of hatred that stab and raise no cry of murder; robberies that leave man or woman forever beggared of peace and joy, yet kept secret by the sufferer - committed to no sound except that of low moans in the night, seen in no writing except that made on the face by the slow months of suppressed anguish and early morning tears. Many an inherited sorrow that has marred a life has been breathed into no human ear. ~ George Eliot
Early 20s quotes by George Eliot
Living aboard one's sailboat and having neither house nor vehicle nor job, and needing none, would be hubris - the most arrogant presumption - and therefore suitable punishable by the gods. One would be drowned by Poseidon early on and die extremely happy. ~ Matthew Goldman
Early 20s quotes by Matthew Goldman
Mr Squeers himself acquired greater sternness and inflexibility from certain warm potations in which he was wont to indulge after his early dinner. ~ Charles Dickens
Early 20s quotes by Charles Dickens
Elon is one of the few people that I feel is more accomplished than I am," said Craig Venter, the man who decoded the human genome and went on to create synthetic lifeforms. At some point he hopes to work with Musk on a type of DNA printer that could be sent to Mars. It would, in theory, allow humans to create medicines, food, and helpful microbes for early settlers of the planet. "I think biological teleportation is what is going to truly enable the colonization of space," he said. "Elon and I have been talking about how this might play out. ~ Ashlee Vance
Early 20s quotes by Ashlee Vance
I did listen to 1920s jazz or Al Johnson and a lot of early singers coming out of England. I would branch out a little bit to get a sense of the world that he might be coming into, in the '30s when jazz was changing. ~ Ed Speleers
Early 20s quotes by Ed Speleers
Many kids, it seemed, would find out that their parents were flawed, messed-up people later in life, and I didn't appreciate getting to know it all so strong and early. ~ Aimee Bender
Early 20s quotes by Aimee Bender
WORK, SOMETIMES
I was sad all day, and why not. There I was, books piled
on both sides of the table, paper stacked up, words
falling off my tongue.
The robins had been a long time singing, and now it
was beginning to rain.
What are we sure of? Happiness isn't a town on a map,
or an early arrival, or a job well done, but good work
ongoing. Which is not likely to be the trifling around
with a poem.
Then it began raining hard, and the flowers in the yard
were full of lively fragrance.
You have had days like this, no doubt. And wasn't it
wonderful, finally, to leave the room? Ah, what a
moment!
As for myself, I swung the door open. And there was
the wordless, singing world. And I ran for my life. ~ Mary Oliver
Early 20s quotes by Mary Oliver
Mr. Greenspan did a very good job in the early 1990's. But recently he's fallen prey to this crazy theory that prosperity causes inflation. So they're trying to slow the economy down by raising interest rates. It's like a doctor saying you're in great health, so we have to make you sick a little bit. It's a bizarre theory. It's going to hurt our economy. ~ Steve Forbes
Early 20s quotes by Steve Forbes
When no one is watching Mother Earth, and most of the time no one is, she sings softly to herself.
Certainly no one is watching after her, to the point where she's now calling herself M. Earth, using her first initial only, like the early women writers who did not want their work to be automatically dismissed because of their gender disadvantage. Though she is grand, M. Earth is feeling, perhaps, overly feminine, and therefore vulnerable. Don't even mention the word Gaia; it's such a projection! She thinks she could benefit from a more macho profile, a little kick-ass to make her point. Perhaps a little masculine detachment would be helpful, or a thicker skin. Because, frankly, she's been trampled, poisoned, stripped bare, robbed blind, and blamed for just about everything that's come down the pike. And like all mothers, everyone just assumes she'll always be there for them with open, loving arms, and a cup of hot cocoa. That it will be her pleasure to feed them, lick their wounds, and clean a load or two of their dirty laundry. She's looking for a little more respect. ~ Sharon Weil
Early 20s quotes by Sharon Weil
The early 1960s, when I started my graduate studies at UC Berkeley, were a period of experimental supremacy and theoretical impotence. ~ David Gross
Early 20s quotes by David Gross
There's something about early mornings that makes me feel like I've got the whole planet to myself. ~ Julie Murphy
Early 20s quotes by Julie Murphy
It was a sunny day in early summer, and he could hear birdsong. In a nearby orchard that had so far escaped shelling, apple trees were blossoming bravely. Men were the only animals that slaughtered their own kind by the million, and turned the landscape into a waste of shell craters and barbed wire. Perhaps the human race would wipe itself out completely, and leave the world to the birds and trees, Walter thought apocalyptically. Perhaps that would be for the best. ~ Ken Follett
Early 20s quotes by Ken Follett
I compared pooh-poohers of the movies to the myopics who used to holler, 'Get a horse!' when an early automobile exploded by. ~ Preston Sturges
Early 20s quotes by Preston Sturges
Longing at eighteen for an early demise, I felt myself unfitted for it. I lacked, in short, the muscles suitable for a dramatic death. And it deeply offended my romantic pride that it should be this unsuitability that had permitted me to survive the war. ~ Yukio Mishima
Early 20s quotes by Yukio Mishima
I also very well remember that on another occasion the father dean said: 'In order that at responsible age a man may be a real man and not a parasite, his education must without fail be based on the following ten principles. 'From early childhood there should be instilled in the child: Belief in receiving punishment for disobedience. Hope of receiving reward only for merit. Love of God - but indiference to the saints. Remorse of conscience for the ill-treatment of animals. Fear of grieving parents and teachers. Fearlessness towards devils, snakes and mice. Joy in being content merely with what one has. Sorrow at the loss of the goodwill of others. Patient endurance of pain and hunger. The striving early to earn one's bread. ~ G.I. Gurdjieff
Early 20s quotes by G.I. Gurdjieff
It was always something I knew I was capable of and from an early age my mother was involved in the film industry. She used to work at a production company. So I was exposed to a renaissance period of films in New Zealand back in the early 80's. ~ Karl Urban
Early 20s quotes by Karl Urban
Although my early equipment was very modest, later I made my own and they were more powerful. ~ Clyde Tombaugh
Early 20s quotes by Clyde Tombaugh
When I grew up in the early '90s, the new World Wide Web felt like a gimmick, and I had no idea of the changes in store. In the summers, I'd backpack through Europe, follow the Grateful Dead. I had a car and a tent and traveled around the Great Lakes and out West. Jack Kerouac was my guiding light, his 'On the Road' a sacred text. ~ Tony D'Souza
Early 20s quotes by Tony D'Souza
