Meditation is not an escape. Meditation is the acceptance of life in its totality, with a view to transforming it for the highest manifestation of the divine Truth here on earth ~ Sri Chinmoy
Divine Truth quotes by Sri Chinmoy
The Divine Truth is greater than any religion or creed or scripture or idea or philosophy. ~ Sri Aurobindo
Divine Truth quotes by Sri Aurobindo
In place of the clear and rigid ancient law, You [oh Lord] made man decide about good and evil for himself, with no other guidance than Your example. But did it never occur to You that man would disregard Your example, even question it, as well as Your truth, when he was subjected to so fearful a burden as freedom of choice? ~ Fyodor Dostoyevsky
Divine Truth quotes by Fyodor Dostoyevsky
The Beautiful is the expression of the absolute Spirit, which is truth itself. This region of Divine truth as artistically presented to perception and feeling, forms the center of the whole world of Art. It is a self-contained, free, divine formation which has completely appropriated the elements of external form as material, and which employs them only as the means of manifesting itself. ~ Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
Divine Truth quotes by Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel
The Lord came into the world and lived all that was prophesied about Him. Thus, He embodied divine truth and fully became divine truth in fulling each and every prophesy, including the last one which took place on. ~ Steve Sanchez
Divine Truth quotes by Steve Sanchez
Believing is an act of the intellect assenting to the divine truth by command of the will moved by God through grace. ~ Thomas Aquinas
Divine Truth quotes by Thomas Aquinas
As all material creation consists of out-births of things spiritual, the spiritual world being the world of causes, and the natural world that of effects, and as effects are the repositories of their causes, the natural world is the reflection of the spiritual. For this reason, from the beginning of things, the sun has stood out as a pre-eminent symbol of the things of God. Of all inanimate things it bears the closest correspondence to the Supreme Being, for what it is in the natural world the Supreme Being is in the Spiritual. Its central fire is the correspondence of the essence of the Divine Nature--DIVINE LOVE; its heat the correspondence of the heat flowing from Divine Love, which is Divine Goodness and all that that comprises; its light the correspondence of Divine Truth which is the light proceeding from Divine Wisdom; and the union of heat and light in its central essence forever symbolizes the union of the Divine Love and Wisdom resulting from that of the Divine Will and Understanding.
God is the SUN from whose heat and light--His Love and Wisdom--proceed all that is spiritual, and through the spiritual, by the medium of the natural sun, all that is natural. The sun is supreme in all natural things, and its operations run through all in its own world, but the Divine SUN from which it derives its origin is supreme in all and operates through all, above and below. And as the natural sun is everywhere present in its own realm, and all things derive their life and g ~ John Daniel
Divine Truth quotes by John Daniel
In order for one to discover Divine Truth, one must be willing and able to go beyond the religious dogma that divides, rather than unites, humanity. ~ Jason E. Marshall
Divine Truth quotes by Jason E. Marshall
Scripture he interpreted by Scripture, and thus, in addition to a naturally penetrating intellect, he enjoyed eminently the teaching of the Spirit, which is given through the Word. Zwingli sought in converse with his friends to improve his heart; he read the great works of antiquity to strengthen his intellect and refine his taste; he studied the Bible to nourish his piety and enlarge his knowledge of Divine truth. But a higher means of improvement did he employ - converse with God. "He strongly recommended prayer," says Bullinger, "and he himself prayed much daily." In this he resembled Luther and Calvin and all the great Reformers. What distinguished them from their fellows, even more than their great talents, was a certain serenity of soul, and a certain grandeur and strength of faith, and this they owed to prayer. ~ James Aitken Wylie
Divine Truth quotes by James Aitken Wylie
In proportion as we perceive and embrace the truth do we become just, heroic, magnanimous, divine. ~ William Lloyd Garrison
Divine Truth quotes by William Lloyd Garrison
Education falls short of divine truth that will empower our spiritual lives ~ Sunday Adelaja
Divine Truth quotes by Sunday Adelaja
Divinity is not something supernatural that ever and again invades the natural order in a crashing miracle. Divinity is not in some remote heaven, seated on a throne. Divinity is love ... Wherever goodness, beauty, truth, love, are-there is the divine. ~ Harry Emerson Fosdick
Divine Truth quotes by Harry Emerson Fosdick
For the righteous, the revelation is a joyous event, the realization of a divine truth. But for the wicked, revelations can be far more terrifying, when dark secrets are exposed and sinners are punished for their trespasses. ~ Emily Thorne
Divine Truth quotes by Emily Thorne
Here the contention is not just that the new Darwinian paradigm can help us realize whichever moral values we happen to choose. The claim is that the new paradigm can actually influence - legitimately - our choice of basic values in the first place. Some Darwinians insist that such influence can never be legitimate. What they have in mind is the naturalistic fallacy, whose past violation has so tainted their line of work. But what we're doing here doesn't violate the naturalistic fallacy. Quite the opposite. By studying nature - by seeing the origins of the retributive impulse - we see how we have been conned into committing the naturalistic fallacy without knowing it; we discover that the aura of divine truth surrounding retribution is nothing more than a tool with which nature - natural selection - gets us to uncritically accept its "values." Once this revelation hits norm, we are less likely to obey this aura, and thus less likely to commit the fallacy. ~ Robert Wright
Divine Truth quotes by Robert Wright
As you move along life's journey, you will also become acquainted with people who do not believe in God. Many of them have not yet found divine truth and don't know where to look for it. You could be of help to them there. But as you mingle with nonbelievers, be aware that a few may not have your best interest at heart. As soon as you discern that, flee from them quickly and permanently. ~ Russell M. Nelson
Divine Truth quotes by Russell M. Nelson
A man may have metaphysical certainty without having "faith", that is, without this certainty residing in his soul as a continuously active presence. But if metaphysical certainty suffices on doctrinal grounds, it is far from being sufficient on the spiritual plane where it must be completed and brought to life by faith. Faith is nothing other than the adherence of our whole being to Truth, whether we have a direct intuition of this Truth or an indirect notion. It is a misuse of language to reduce "faith" to "belief"; it is the opposite that is true: belief--or theoretical knowledge--must be changed into the faith "that moves mountains". For the Apostles there was no difference in practice between an idea and its spiritual validation; they did not separate theory from realization, hence the word "love" as a way of indicating all conformity to divine Truth.

He who has faith acts as if he were in the presence of what he believes--or knows--to be true. One can neither cast doubt on the fact that simple belief is already an adherence to Truth nor affirm that metaphysical certainty by itself implies an adherence of our whole being; for every man, whether he "knows" or "believes", perfection is "to worship God as if you saw Him, and if you do not see Him, He nonetheless sees you". ~ Frithjof Schuon
Divine Truth quotes by Frithjof Schuon
Writer's block is caused by forcing your will on the Divine. ~ Chriscinthia Blount
Divine Truth quotes by Chriscinthia Blount
[...] one may ask why so much stupidity and bad faith are to be found in religious polemics, even among men who are otherwise free from such failings...No blame can be attached to a person for attacking a foreign religion in the name of his own belief, if it is done purely and simply through ignorance; when, however, this is not the case, the person will be guilty of blasphemy, since, by outraging the Divine Truth in an alien form, he is merely profiting by an opportunity to offend God without having to trouble his own conscience. This is the real explanation of the gross and impure zeal displayed by those who, in the name of their religious convictions, devote their lives to making sacred things appear odious, a task they can only accomplish by contemptible methods. ~ Frithjof Schuon
Divine Truth quotes by Frithjof Schuon
A Christian society? Such a society is not one that is run by priests, not even necessarily one in which everybody has to go to Church: it is one in which work is for production and not for profit, and production is not for its own sake, not merely for the sake of those who own the means of production, but for all who contribute in a constructive way to the process of production. A Christian society is one in which men give their share of labor and intelligence and receive their share of the fruits of the labor of all, and in which all this is seen in relation to a transcendental purpose, the "history of salvation," the Kingdom of God, a society centered upon the divine truth and the divine mercy. ~ Thomas Merton
Divine Truth quotes by Thomas Merton
Christ said, not a single iota of the truth He gave was to be changed, then by what right do we sit in judgment on Divinity and say: This much of Your truth we will accept, because it pleases us, and this much we will reject? We are not the creators of divine truth; we are only the trustees and the guardians. God's truths are not optional any more than the right to happiness is optional; they are not debatable any more than the multiplication table is debatable. Any sect which starts with the assumption that it has rights over God's truth proves that it is man-made, and a religion that is man-made can be man-unmade. But a Church which is God-made cannot be man-unmade. ~ Fulton J. Sheen
Divine Truth quotes by Fulton J. Sheen
A spirituality that is only private and self-absorbed, one devoid of an authentic political and social consciousness, does little to halt the suicidal juggernaut of history. On the other hand, an activism that is not purified by profound spiritual and psychological self-awareness and rooted in divine truth, wisdom, and compassion will only perpetuate the problem it is trying to solve, however righteous its intentions. When, however, the deepest and most grounded spiritual vision is married to a practical and pragmatic drive to transform all existing political, economic and social institutions, a holy force - the power of wisdom and love in action - is born. This force I define as Sacred Activism. ~ Andrew Harvey
Divine Truth quotes by Andrew Harvey
Man's responsibility is correspondingly operative with his free agency. Actions in harmony with divine law and the laws of nature will bring happiness, and those in opposition to divine truth, misery. Man is responsible not only for every deed, but also for every idle word and thought. ~ David O. McKay
Divine Truth quotes by David O. McKay
It is important for America that the moral truths which make freedom possible should be passed on to each new generation. Every generation of Americans needs to know that freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought ... Christ asks us to guard the truth because, as he promised us: "You will know the truth and the truth will make you free." Depositum custodi! We must guard the truth that is the condition of authentic freedom, the truth that allows freedoms to be fulfilled in goodness. We must guard the deposit of divine truth handed down to us. ~ Pope John Paul II
Divine Truth quotes by Pope John Paul II
God has endowed man with inalienable rights, among which are self-government, reason, and conscience. Man is properly self-governed only when he is guided rightly and governed by his Maker, divine Truth and Love. ~ John Dryden
Divine Truth quotes by John Dryden
A Puritan believed it was necessary to venture back to the absolute beginning of Christianity, before the church had been corrupted by centuries of laxity and abuse, to locate divine truth. ~ Nathaniel Philbrick
Divine Truth quotes by Nathaniel Philbrick
I say therefore that he sins against the Holy Spirit who, while so constrained by the power of divine truth that he cannot plead ignorance, yet deliberately resists, and that merely for the sake of resisting. ~ John Calvin
Divine Truth quotes by John Calvin
When love has carried us above all things ... we receive in peace the Incomprehensible Light, enfolding us and penetrating us. What is this Light, if it be not a contemplation of the Infinite, and an intuition of Eternity? We behold that which we are, and we are that which we behold; because our being, without losing anything of its own personality, is united with the Divine Truth. ~ John Of Ruysbroeck
Divine Truth quotes by John Of Ruysbroeck
Since divine truth and scripture clearly teach us that God, the Creator of all things, is Wisdom, a true philosopher will be a lover of God. That does not mean that all who answer to the name are really in love with genuine wisdom, for it is one thing to be and another to be called a philosopher. ~ Augustine Of Hippo
Divine Truth quotes by Augustine Of Hippo
If a God, any God, is deemed to represent the Universal & divine truth, then once one finds & truly embraces that truth, he/she becomes in harmony with God. To hold it any other way is to attribute to supposed Gods petty failings like jealousy & bittermess. If that is the case, then why would I hold forth a name embodying that which is in my heart when doing so would only reduce a truth I call divine to a level of mortal frailty? ~ R.A. Salvatore
Divine Truth quotes by R.A. Salvatore
In answer to modern requests for signs and wonders, Our Lord might say, 'You repeat Satan's temptation, whenever you admire the wonders of science, and forget that I am the Author of the Universe and its science. Your scientists are the proofreaders, but not the authors of the Book of Nature; they can see and examine My handiwork, but they cannot create one atom themselves. You would tempt Me to prove Myself omnipotent by meaningless tests...You tempt Me after you have willfully destroyed your own cities with bombs by shrieking out, "Why does God not stop this war?" You tempt Me, saying that I have no power, unless I show it at your beck and call. This, if you remember, is exactly how Satan tempted Me in the desert.

I have never had many followers on the lofty heights of Divine truth, I know; for instance, I have hardly had the intelligentsia. I refuse to perform stunts to win them, for they would not really be won that way. It is only when I am seen on the Cross that I really draw men to Myself; it is by sacrifice, and not by marvels, that I must make My appeal. I must win followers not with test tubes, but with My blood; not with material power, but with love; not with celestial fireworks, but with the right use of reason and free will. ~ Fulton J. Sheen
Divine Truth quotes by Fulton J. Sheen
Divine truth becomes dynamic life only when we yield to Jesus by faith and follow Him. ~ Warren W. Wiersbe
Divine Truth quotes by Warren W. Wiersbe
When you honor your most authentic self- - your Spirit - you are allowing your Light to shine and touch the world. Living authentically, in its simplest terms, is living your Truth, the truth in your heart and soul. It's allowing yourself to be guided by Divine Truth and Wisdom, each and every day, and doing your Highest, most authentic work in the world. It's joyfully creating and living your Highest purpose! ~ Valerie Rickel
Divine Truth quotes by Valerie Rickel
Shaikh Ahmad of Sirhind (1563-1624) discussed it within the canon of theological tradition and held that ana al-haqq was a situational statement and that it represented a quality of authentic experience. The Shaikh suggested that ana - the personal "I," and al-haqq, the Truth, had no reference to a unitive condition, in fact; al-haqq completely surrounded the consciousness of the contemplative ego. Placed in this state the ana could only know the surrounding al-haqq - and simultaneously lose its own identity. It was in fact the loss of personal identity which gave significance to Hallaj's statement. The Shaikh held that ana al-haqq did not have any reference to unification either with the Divine Essence or its Attribute. Thus, ana al-haqq, as "I am the Truth," was categorically discarded by the Shaikh who interpretted the phrases as affirmation by negation. According to him, ana al-haqq did not carry the affirmatory meaning of "I am the Truth," but simply made the statement that, "I am not, He only is". Without negation of the self, the affirmation of Divine Truth remains unresolved. Hallaj had in fact affirmed the faith through negation of the contemplative ego. ~ Gilani Kamran
Divine Truth quotes by Gilani Kamran
The divine truth cannot be slain. Even though it may be mocked and crucified and buried, it will rise victoriously on the third day and reign in triumph through all eternity." - Reformation martyr. ~ Ethelbert Stauffer
Divine Truth quotes by Ethelbert Stauffer
All truth is precious, if not all divine; and what dilates the powers must needs refine. ~ William Cowper
Divine Truth quotes by William Cowper
We judge all things according to the divine truth. ~ Saint Augustine
Divine Truth quotes by Saint Augustine
Faith transcends reason because divine truth is not only higher, but also wider than the human mind, and the rationalist in his haste for premature simplification always tends to shut his eyes to one aspect of the truth and to seek a false harmony of thought by the sacrifice of an essential element of reality. ~ Christopher Dawson
Divine Truth quotes by Christopher Dawson
Religion is not a perpetual moping over good books. Religion is not even prayer, praise, holy ordinances,
these are necessary to religion
no man can be religious without them. But religion is mainly and chiefly the glorifying God amid the duties and trials of the world; the guiding of our course amid adverse winds and currents of temptation by the sunlight of duty and the compass of Divine truth, the bearing up manfully, wisely, courageously, for the honor of Christ, our great Leader in the conflict of life. ~ John Caird
Divine Truth quotes by John Caird
This Divine truth flows into heaven from the Lord from His Divine love. ~ Emanuel Swedenborg
Divine Truth quotes by Emanuel Swedenborg
If the Bible is only human lore, and not divine truth, then we have no real answer to those who say, Let's pick the best out of all religions and blend it all into Pan-Deism - one world religion with one god made out of many. ~ J. Sidlow Baxter
Divine Truth quotes by J. Sidlow Baxter
I have been somebody who has not written a great deal about the truth of my family's life. ~ Anne Lamott
Divine Truth quotes by Anne Lamott
...I have had a remarkable experience. In the past the prophetic voice to which I have become accustomed has always been my constant companion, opposing me even in quite trivial things if I was going to take the wrong course. Now something has happened to me, as you can see, which might be thought and is commonly considered to be a supreme calamity; yet neither when I left home this morning, nor when I was taking my place here in court, nor at any point in any part of my speech did the divine sign oppose me. In other discussions it has often checked me in the middle of a sentence; but this time it has never opposed me in any part of this business in anything that I have said or done. What do I suppose to be the explanation? I will tell you. I suspect that this thing that has happened to me is a blessing, and we are quite mistaken in supposing death to be an evil. I have good grounds for thinking this, because my accustomed sign could not have failed to oppose me if what I was doing had not been sure to bring some good result. ~ Socrates
Divine Truth quotes by Socrates
I made myself unhappy measuring my love against a given norm. The truth is, we make ourselves happy in among a wide variety of loves; all count. ~ Monique Roffey
Divine Truth quotes by Monique Roffey
It's only led me to complete awesomeness at all times. It's only led me to awesome truth and awesomeness. Beauty, truth, awesomeness. That's all it is. ~ Kanye West
Divine Truth quotes by Kanye West
You have to keep looking on the bright, because you'll never find anything in the dark. ~ Zack W. Van
Divine Truth quotes by Zack W. Van
The senses have their limits, and we can never know how short they fall in revealing to us the truth of a vision, a scent, a sound. ~ Stephanie Perkins
Divine Truth quotes by Stephanie Perkins
I realised that all one really had to do was just observe. Observe and slightly exaggerate, and you had comedy. Instead of creating a mythical premise for a stupid joke, I found playing off truth got the best result. ~ Mel Brooks
Divine Truth quotes by Mel Brooks
The truth was, she found it hard to look at the man. It was like gazing at the sun. ~ Catherine LaRoche
Divine Truth quotes by Catherine LaRoche
It is clear that while science provides insights into the complexity of the world around us, those insights ... present a fractured mosaic rather than a seamless whole. There are profound limits to science that must be recognized if we are to minimize the destructive consequences of using the powers provided by scientific discovery. ~ David Suzuki
Divine Truth quotes by David Suzuki
Can it be that a generation of school children is growing up heedless of the simple truth that the Pentagon's centrla role for many years has been to buy weapons that don't work, against threats that don't exist? ~ Alexander Cockburn
Divine Truth quotes by Alexander Cockburn
Every particle that makes up a human being has things that make it totally authentic and unique. Each person has the ability to create things never imagined by the human eye. The human capacity is simply infinite, the truth is simply amazing, and the truth is all human beings are universes within the universe. ~ Paola Sanjinez
Divine Truth quotes by Paola Sanjinez
Hive Queen: They never know anything. They don't have enough years in their little lives to come to an understanding of anything at all. And yet they think they understand. From earliest childhood, they delude themselves into thinking they comprehend the world, while all that's really going on is that they've got some primitive assumptions and prejudices. As they get older they learn a more elevated vocabulary in which to express their mindless pseudo- knowledge and bully other people into accepting their prejudices as if they were truth, but it all amounts to the same thing. Individually, human beings are all dolts.

Pequenino: While collectively...

Hive Queen: Collectively, they're a collection of dolts. But in all their scurrying around and pretending to be wise, throwing out idiotic half-understood theories about this and that, one or two of them will come up with some idea that is just a little bit closer to the truth than what was already known. And in a sort of fumbling trial and error, about half the time the truth actually rises to the top and becomes accepted by people who still don't understand it, who simply adopt it as a new prejudice to be trusted blindly until the next dolt accidentally comes up with an improvement.>

Pequenino: So you're saying that no one is ever individually intelligent, and groups are even stupider than individuals-- and yet by keeping so many fools engaged in pretending to be intelligent, they still come u ~ Orson Scott Card
Divine Truth quotes by Orson Scott Card
Mankind are an incorrigible race. Give them but bugbears and idols
it is all that they ask; the distinctions of right and wrong, of truth and falsehood, of good and evil, are worse than indifferent to them. ~ William Hazlitt
Divine Truth quotes by William Hazlitt
Then Cassie told her story. The feeling was like gathering up everything she's ever done or felt or known up to that moment and tying it into a ball and pitching it with all her might as far away as she could, and then watching to see what would happen next, what would roll back to her, what would have gotten left behind. ~ Beth Neff
Divine Truth quotes by Beth Neff
I have survived. I am here. Confused, screwed up, but here. So, how can I find my way? Is there a chain saw of the soul, an ax I can take to my memories or fears? ~ Laurie Halse Anderson
Divine Truth quotes by Laurie Halse Anderson
Some folks never handle the truth without scratching it. ~ Austin O'Malley
Divine Truth quotes by Austin O'Malley
If the present world go astray, the cause is in you, in you it is to be sought. ~ Dante Alighieri
Divine Truth quotes by Dante Alighieri
Children know perfectly well that unicorns aren't real, but they also know that books about unicorns, if they are good books, are true books. ~ Ursula K. Le Guin
Divine Truth quotes by Ursula K. Le Guin
Sculpture is a parable in three dimensions, a symbol of a spiritual experience, and a means of conveying truth by concentrating its essence into visible form ... It must be the reflection of the artist who creates it and of the era in which he lives, not an echo or a memory of other days and other ways. ~ Malvina Hoffman
Divine Truth quotes by Malvina Hoffman
When you love yourself, you love your spirit, so everyone can feel it, because everyone is a spiritual being. ~ Debasish Mridha
Divine Truth quotes by Debasish Mridha
our journey toward truth is often a winding and convoluted path and what we find at the end is not always the truth we expected at the beginning of the journey. ~ Christian Scharen
Divine Truth quotes by Christian Scharen
Nature is the direct expression of the divine imagination. ~ John O'Donohue
Divine Truth quotes by John O'Donohue
But then I stopped allowing myself to dream, because it was more painful to long for things and never get them than to deal with whatever was in front of me. [ ... ] I'm too old to hear confront nonsense anymore. Too old to believe that everything will be alright. ~ Veronica Roth
Divine Truth quotes by Veronica Roth
You became the sonnet that was etched in my minds eye. Existing outside the dreams we shared in the presence of our eternal love. ~ Truth Devour
Divine Truth quotes by Truth Devour
A 'biomass' man does not use logical and analytical thinking ~ Sunday Adelaja
Divine Truth quotes by Sunday Adelaja
It must not be forgotten that reason too needs to be sustained in all its searching by trusting dialogue and sincere friendship. A climate of suspicion and distrust, which can beset speculative research, ignores the teaching of the ancient philosophers who proposed friendship as one of the most appropriate contexts for sound philosophical enquiry. ~ Pope John Paul II
Divine Truth quotes by Pope John Paul II
For it is in the millions of small melodies that the truth of history is always found, for history only matters because of the effects we see or imagine in the lives of the ordinary people who are caught up in, or give shape to, the great events. ~ Orson Scott Card
Divine Truth quotes by Orson Scott Card
The world is ... the natural setting of, and field for, all my thoughts and all my explicit perceptions. Truth does not inhabit only the inner man, or more accurately, there is no inner man, man is in the world, and only in the world does he know himself. ~ Maurice Merleau Ponty
Divine Truth quotes by Maurice Merleau Ponty
These dreams are disappearing

Speak and be misunderstood
Or be silent and good
and as how far as it look
These dreams are disappearing..

Put hopes in a box and tie
It's either protect it or die
Maintain the truth or talk a lie
These dreams are disappearing..

Mountains of gold and a lovely cat
a house by a lake and a lovely chat
a day in paradise and all of that
These dreams are disappearing..

Chase a purpose of life and do
and be the one you wanted to
and be with who have always wanted you
These dreams are disappearing..

Run in pace and catch the sun
Raise a family and have a son
Build a home, not only one
These dreams are disappearing..

In daily wars like on regular bases
In daily problems a puzzled mazes In daily issues and complications
These dreams are disappearing..

Nothing is lost but nothing is healing
All is gone and all is leaking
Some hope to hold on to and keep dreaming
Although these dreams are disappearing...

Ahmed Adel Hassona ~ Ahmed Adel Hassona
Divine Truth quotes by Ahmed Adel Hassona
When I speak at universities, in colleges, I share these statistics. I tell them that even as we are labeled criminal, we are actually the victims of crime. And I tell them there are no stats to track collateral deaths, the ones that unfold over months and years spent in mourning and grief: the depression that becomes addiction to alcohol that becomes cirrhosis; or else addiction to food that becomes diabetes that becomes a stroke . Slow deaths . Undocumented deaths. Deaths with a common root: the hatred that tells a person daily that their life and the life of those they love ain't worth shit, a truth made ever more real when the people who harm you are never held accountable. ~ Patrisse Khan-Cullors
Divine Truth quotes by Patrisse Khan-Cullors
Truth is truth. If you hurt someone, you hurt self. If you help someone, you help self. ~ Marlo Morgan
Divine Truth quotes by Marlo Morgan
What I find disturbing in America is the consuming desire for leisure, convenience, and fun. It seems we, as a nation, have traded God for gadgets. We have traded eternal truth for momentary self-gratification - worshipping false gods of materialism and humanism instead of the Creator of all things. ~ Billy Graham
Divine Truth quotes by Billy Graham
When you know who you are and where are you going then life becomes exciting. ~ Debasish Mridha
Divine Truth quotes by Debasish Mridha
Follow truth wherever it may lead you. ~ Thomas Jefferson
Divine Truth quotes by Thomas Jefferson
Morality rests upon a sense of obligation; and obligation has no meaning except as implying a Divine command, without which it would cease to be. ~ James Anthony Froude
Divine Truth quotes by James Anthony Froude
Not everything needed to be brought into the light, he knew. Not every truth needed to be told. ~ Louise Penny
Divine Truth quotes by Louise Penny
Liberals should not overplay this weapons of mass destruction card, because you want me to tell you the truth? Most of us are not going to care if they don't find these weapons of mass destruction. It's enough for a lot of us to see those kids smiling on that street again. ~ Dennis Miller
Divine Truth quotes by Dennis Miller
The truth which can be actualized after Self Realization is that you are not this body, this mind, this conditioning from the past, this ego, these emotions, but that you are the pure spirit. ~ Nirmala Srivastava
Divine Truth quotes by Nirmala Srivastava
Lenin only believes in the revolution and in the virtue of expediency.'One must be prepared for every sacrifice, to use, if necessary, every stratagem, ruse, illegal method, to be determined to conceal the truth, for the sole purpose of accomplishing, despite everything, the communist task'. ~ Albert Camus
Divine Truth quotes by Albert Camus
America can still point to individual rags-to-riches stories of self-made men and women who leapfrog to success. But for all the glitz of sudden stardom on American Idol, for all the hoop stars and gridiron heroes from the inner city, and for every surprise Wall Street billionaire, the unpleasant truth is that a typical child born at the bottom of the heap in America has far less chance of rising into the middle class or above than one born in France, Germany, or Scandinavia. In fact, one study found that it would take five or six generations, 125 to 150 years, for a child from America's poverty caste to rise to the middle of the middle class. ~ Hedrick Smith
Divine Truth quotes by Hedrick Smith
Tell the truth. All the time. About everything. What's the alternative to radical honesty? Waste. Wasted time, wasted money, wasted possibilities-a wasted life. ~ Brad Blanton
Divine Truth quotes by Brad Blanton
If men would avoid that general language and general manner in which they strive to hide all that is peculiar, and would say only what was uppermost in their own minds, after their own individual manner, every man would be interesting. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
Divine Truth quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson
Behold divinity divine enough to abandon divinity. Behold majesty secure enough to proceed un-majestically. Behold strength strong enough to become weakness, goodness good enough to be unmindful of its reputation. Behold love plenteous enough to give and take not again. ~ Paul Ramsey
Divine Truth quotes by Paul Ramsey
Utter truth is essential ... and to get that truth may take a lot of searching and long hours. ~ Margaret Bourke-White
Divine Truth quotes by Margaret Bourke-White
Unicorns and rainbows exist because we want them to. ~ Truth Devour
Divine Truth quotes by Truth Devour
[F]rom the perspective of outsiders to the Christian tradition, Paul has sometimes been ridiculed for having abandoned monotheism. Such ridicule is part of a more general theological critique, advanced for centuries by Muslims and Jews, against the Christian doctrine of the incarnation, namely that God became human, and the notion of a triune God, namely that God is three-in-one, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. To reduce a long tradition of theological dialogue and debate to one sentence, Muslims and Jews believe that devotion to Christ renders the Christian claim to monotheism misguided at best and idolatry at worst, while Christians see no contradiction between their affirmation of the oneness of God and the doctrine of the Trinity.

But, to once again reiterate a point made several times already in this book, Christianity does not yet exist as an independent religious system in Paul's time. Paul is not operating with the doctrine of the incarnation as it was defined in the Council of Nicea (CE 325) or the Christian doctrine of the Trinity as it was hammered out in the Council of Chalcedon (CE 451). At the same time, Paul's letters already reflect a surprisingly high Christology that appears to anticipate later orthodox views. That is to say, Paul's letters manifest a belief in Jesus' divinity that came to characterize the full-out identification between Jesus and God of later official Christian doctrine. Jesus is clearly a divine figure of unique status in Paul's le ~ Pamela Eisenbaum

The Biggest Truth and Dare in the world is you ~ Kuldeep Chauhan
Divine Truth quotes by Kuldeep Chauhan
Help one person in need at a time with your heart and mind. ~ Debasish Mridha
Divine Truth quotes by Debasish Mridha
If you worship money and things - if they are where you tap real meaning in life - then you will never have enough. Never feel you have enough. It's the truth. Worship your own body and beauty and sexual allure and you will always feel ugly, and when time and age start showing, you will die a million deaths before they finally plant you. On one level, we all know this stuff already - it's been codified as myths, proverbs, clichés, bromides, epigrams, parables: the skeleton of every great story. The trick is keeping the truth up-front in daily consciousness. Worship power - you will feel weak and afraid, and you will need ever more power over others to keep the fear at bay. Worship your intellect, being seen as smart - you will end up feeling stupid, a fraud, always on the verge of being found out. And so on. ~ David Foster Wallace
