The NRA is an outdated special interest group. The Association's membership does not have the best interests of our students or the safety of our schools in mind. Its' influence must be diminished and ultimately destroyed. The NRA has our fallen friends' blood on its hands. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
As John finished his speech, Zack couldn't help but wonder how a country that had been served by a brilliant and inclusive president for eight years now chose to elect a narcissistic, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, anti-Semitic racist with no experience in government. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Is it possible to be overzealous, to destroy that which you hope to save-so that nothing is left but emptiness. ~ Jerome Lawrence
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jerome Lawrence
It felt as if the people on Twitter had been invited to be characters in a courtroom drama, and had been allowed to choose their roles, and had all gone for the part of the hanging judge. Or it was even worse than that. They all had gone for the part of the people in the lithographs being ribald at whippings. ~ Jon Ronson
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jon Ronson
Where is the sense of outrage for our Muslim neighbors, Dearborn citizens all? Should we not feel the same sense of violation and shock even though these worshipers pray to a different version of God than we do? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Come on, Jack. Be reasonable. Let's run this up the chain of command."
"Acker will never approve, and even if he does, we would have to deal with some Barney Fife type cop up in Manistee, and he would never agree. I'm screwed either way."
"Who's Barney Fife?"
"He's an old television character…oh…never mind . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
I did not speak. I have found in any Q&A, in court, in witness interviews, wherever, often the best thing you can do is wait, say nothing. The witness will want to fill the awkward silence. He will feel a vague compassion to keep talking, to prove he is not holding back, to prove he is smart and in the know, to earn your trust. ~ William Landay
Courtroom Drama quotes by William Landay
When you lose the power to laugh, you lose your power to think straight. ~ Jerome Lawrence
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jerome Lawrence
We have a few chicken-shit senators who are afraid of the NRA and its ilk, but with the right tweaks, I still think you have a shot . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
He wants to be perceived as a hero to people who have been bullied and not as a deranged lunatic who committed mass murder without rational explanation . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
While the gun lobby sought to close the courthouse door to all legitimate claims, Zack and other clever lawyers often artfully dodge these efforts with carefully crafted pleadings and appropriate argument, successfully litigating their claims, and holding gun companies responsible. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
I think the shooter is Kevin Burns. I know him pretty well. Maybe I can talk him down."
"Are you nuts? He's crazy. Everyone knows he's a lunatic. No one can talk him down. Get out of there!"
"I can't sit around and do nothing. I have to do something. Remember what Mom and Dad told us after Father Gerry? If you have a chance to save or protect innocent people, you have to make that sacrifice. I won't let another predator get the best of me."
"That's not what they meant, you idiot! Get the hell out of there and let the police handle it. I'm sure they're on their way!"
"If anything happens to me, I want you to know you're the best little brother a guy could hope for, squirt. Take care. I love you."
"I love you too. Please don't do anything stupid."
"We're going to get out of this together. Understand? We're best brothers, forever."
"Forever, bro . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
If the dad has a criminal record, he shouldn't have been able to purchase the guns, and we've got a serious problem."
Barrington unloads again. "I pay you a lot of money to prevent us from having a serious problem. Take care of it, dammit! ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
No parent should lose a son or daughter, no teacher should lose a student, no sibling should lose a brother or sister, and no student should lose a best friend or a teacher. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
So, when a judge requests your services as a 'personal favor,' declining representation is out of the question, unless you don't mind appearing in front of a pissed-off judge with a long memory. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
We hear these people argue that, somehow, we are trying to strip people of their constitutional rights. What about our constitutional rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? It's difficult to achieve those rights when you're dead. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
How could a man "disappear" amidst all those elite law enforcement officials? Would things have been different if we were in charge? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Zack is suddenly torn between client obligation and representation on the one hand, and due process and civil and criminal rights on the other. Burns is a child. I'd give him the same advice. Do I need his testimony? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Jennifer's eyes begin to water again. "Don't let anything bad happen to him, Dr. Sampson. My husband is a famous lawyer. He sues doctors when they screw up."
"Jennifer!" Zack exclaims, embarrassed. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Guy tries to buy a gun, but when he returns, he learns he's failed the background check. 'Oh well,' the guy tells himself. 'It was worth a try.' The dealer says to the guy, 'Hold the phone, buddy. Ask a friend, your brother, your sister, anyone you know, to come in, pass the background check, and we'll sell the guns to them instead of you. What happens to them afterward is none of our business . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Ladies and gentlemen, after Columbine, Newtown, Sandy Hook, Virginia Tech, San Bernardino, Orlando, Vegas, Parkland and now in our own community, one thing should be clear to citizens and politicians alike. Our society needs stricter laws for people who purchase guns for the purpose of perpetrating criminal acts. We need tougher laws for people who buy guns to sell to criminals or kids. These laws should severely punish anyone in these categories - neither suggestion steps on the Second Amendment . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
If a buyer is having trouble getting a gun in Michigan, he or she just travels to Ohio or Indiana or Illinois. You know what I mean?"
~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Look at that asshole! Not a care in the world! Today, I fish; tomorrow, I blow up a mosque. Smart, hiding in plain sight. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
With 'The Social Network,' I got into it at first because frankly I thought there was a cool courtroom drama to be had with the intellectual properties. And then what further drew me in was that the most extraordinary social networking device ever created was created by the world's most antisocial person. I liked that story. ~ Aaron Sorkin
Courtroom Drama quotes by Aaron Sorkin
May we have Kenny's iPhone and your younger son's, what's his name? We need to obtain copies of these texts."
"His name is Jake. I'm sure it's fine. You know kids, though. I suggest you get what you need quickly. If you keep their phones for too long, there will be hell to pay," Zack chuckles.
"Don't I know it," Ross laughs. "I've got a teenaged girl. Girls are much worse than boys. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
The enveloping fog was eerie, like a tightening vice, given the possibility of a Sarin gas attack in Dearborn proper. Was the fog a sign of evil about to descend on the city? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
If someone wanted to smuggle Sarin gas into the city, how would they do it? Where are the obvious and less obvious points of entry? How would they weaponize it? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . the Sixth Amendment is sacrosanct and guarantees everyone the right to a fair trial. You're either for the Constitution or against it. You can't pick and choose your favorite amendments. Why, Ted, is the Second more important than the Sixth? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
How can I be friendly to someone who clearly wants no friends? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
From Zachary Blake? Not a chance in hell. All his cases are high-profile. And these days, he's got a Midas touch. Every case he touches turns to gold. Blake is on a personal crusade for civil justice and safety - truth, justice, and the American way, don't you know? Guns are an excellent target issue for someone like him. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Never discount woman's intuition Zack. That is real."
"I never discount a woman's anything, dear. The world would be a better place if woman were in charge. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . being on the wrong side of a pissing contest is never a good thing. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Benjamin Blaine," he muttered. Glad that asshole is locked up for the rest of his miserable life.
But Jack was not naïve; he knew that there were thousands like Blaine, across America, spurred to action by the sinister rhetoric of a racist president. Either way, they were equally as dangerous, perhaps more so. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
That bastard tried to murder my son. He can spend the rest of his rotten, deceitful life in a prison cell. But he's not the ultimate prize. I won't rest until both the President and Attorney General of the United States are impeached, convicted, and thrown in a prison cell. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
When the address was over, Blackwell stood at attention, saluted, and shouted aloud at the television. "God bless you, Mr. President!" The John victory was a victory for all white nationalists. "Make America pure again? Hell yeah!" he and his friends cheered. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
All this Second Amendment shit is a money grab for these people. Follow the damned money! ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Our love must be stronger than their hate. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Remember watching television with your parents? Little House on the Prairie, Beaver Cleaver, Father Knows Best, Brady Bunch, Happy Days, fine white family shows with white Christian morals. You know what I mean? Today, Jews own the media and show shit on TV that's against God - races mixing, inbreeding, faggots raising kids, Jew comedy, a bunch of crap. You can't watch television anymore. I want to see a white, civil society, where white rights count, and there's none of this garbage polluting my children's minds. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
How does a mentally challenged eighteen-year-old obtain an AK 47 and a Lugar? We don't need to disarm America to prevent school shootings. We need only common sense. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Nobody will ever pry the guns out of the hands of these Second Amendment American idiots. And if they do, God bless them. Only criminals will have weapons. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
In the midst of all of this local peace and harmony, a man named Ronald John was now the President-elect of the United States. He campaigned on a platform that promised to "rid America of the Muslim scourge." What does this mean? Arya pondered. Does this man seriously intend to engage in the process of deporting all Muslims, whether here legally or illegally, whether citizens or non-citizens? Isn't that unconstitutional? Arya Khan was inspirited and . . . terrified. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
One way to hurt Barrington is to beat the crap out of him in your lawsuit. Hurt him in the pocketbook. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
I have filed a lawsuit; I am not engaged in a legislative battle. I am very proud my son will help spearhead an effort to put forth a survivor's legislative agenda with many of his fellow students, teachers, and other survivors of this tragedy. Kenny and his colleagues are now voting age or will be before the next election. Pro-gun politicians need to address the problem, or they may find themselves looking for work. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Friggin' doctors and their friggin' forms - Zack grouses, silently, forgetting lawyers do the same thing, all the time. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
The man who has everything figured out is probably a fool. College examinations notwithstanding, it takes a very smart fella to say I don't know the answer! ~ Jerome Lawrence
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jerome Lawrence
Fire and fury! These people didn't appreciate my art, laughed at my clothes, my looks, and made fun of my protruding ears. 'Floppy,' they called me. And the teachers and principals let it all happen. They didn't give a shit. Whatever got them through the day without conflict or controversy worked for the teachers, but where were the parents? They taught their kids to be elitist snobs. These deaths are on you, assholes! ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Who charges a deranged gunman like that? They're perfect gentlemen, those Tracey boys. Do they ever do anything wrong? 'Dudley Do-Rights,' both of those fuckers. Still, I hope Kenny's still alive. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Don't compromise yourself - you're all you have. ~ John Grisham
Courtroom Drama quotes by John Grisham
He once suggested the idea of concealed carry to his superiors. In their infinite wisdom, the principal, his assistants, and the superintendent nixed the idea. Joey wonders: How do they feel about the idea now? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
You don't suppose this kind of thing is ever finished, do you? Tomorrow it'll be something else-and another fella will have to stand up. And you've helped give him the guts to do it! ~ Jerome Lawrence
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jerome Lawrence
There's not one film that I've ever made that could get made today by a studio, not one - even 'A Few Good Men' because it's an adult courtroom drama, and studios do not make them any more. And so every movie that I make, have made and will make is always going be independently financed. ~ Rob Reiner
Courtroom Drama quotes by Rob Reiner
These are not red or blue issues - they are the human rights issues of our generation. We are here begging for our lives. If today's political officeholders cannot accomplish real change on guns and gun issues, we will vote together on these issues in the next election and elect their successors . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
When it was over, Goodman won the popular vote, but John won the decisive Electoral College and the presidency. Gerrymandering played a prominent role in the shocking result. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
I don't have expensive tastes – just bloody ones.
– Vampire Dragul Mangorian ~ John Matsui
Courtroom Drama quotes by John Matsui
Honestly, I'm not a massive fan of courtroom dramas. ~ Gabriel Macht
Courtroom Drama quotes by Gabriel Macht
The ages of individual Supreme Court Justices were of significant concern to Zack, as were the nominations President John would make if these elderly Supreme Court Justices retired or passed away. Zack smiled to himself and wished the justices good health and long life. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
These elected officials pursued the offices they hold and asked us for our votes. We gave them our votes. That's a sacred trust, and they have betrayed us. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Are you crazy, Kenny Tracey? Do you have a death wish or something? Preventing someone from getting hurt and jumping in front of a bullet are not the same things! ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
This would be the Michigan version of the OJ trial, this time, with a guilty verdict. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . I also believe we can respect Second Amendment rights while, at the same time, preventing lawbreakers and people who are a danger to others from committing atrocities . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Then let's get to work. Sarin…shit! We must stop these guys…again."
The men nodded, stone-faced. Was it really déjà vu all over again? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . I may need to put the fear of God into a lawyer and his son. Perhaps we can clarify the cost of suing Barrington Arms and not being reasonable in trying to resolve the lawsuit? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . While competency and insanity are not the same things and the standards of proof are different, they are undoubtedly first cousins. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
How does a guy like Bart afford a boat like this? Does bigotry pay that well? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
The threat of lawsuits has increased public awareness of the dangers of smoking and has made tobacco companies market their dangerous nicotine delivery systems more responsibly. The threat of lawsuits has made all kinds of products safer. For example, over the last forty years or so, automobile deaths have been cut nearly in half by safety features in cars, developed and implemented in response to lawsuits. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Our good friend and fellow sportsman George W. Bush signed the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act into law back in 2005. Essentially, unless we make a terribly defective gun, the law creates a complete shield from liability. God bless Citizens United, the United States Chamber of Commerce, the NRA, tort reform, and needy and greedy politicians. ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Out of two different and distinct traditions, Jennifer and Zachary have come together to learn the best of what each has to offer, appreciating their differences, and confirming that being together is far better than permitting religious differences to keep them apart. As we bless this marriage under the chuppah, we will also light a unity candle, the Christian symbol of two people becoming one in marriage . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
. . . why not ask your congressman or woman to support universal background checks? Ask him or her to renew the ban on military-style assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Offer a pink slip to any legislator who refuses to explain his or her lack of support for these common-sense measures. With rights come responsibilities. While we enjoy a right to bear arms, we have a societal obligation to do so responsibly and safely. We are, after all, responsible for each other. Our governing is done by the people and for the people. It is in the best interest of the people, all the people, to apply common sense to the gun issue . . . ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
Why do Second Amendment advocates assume every time a well-meaning legislator suggests common-sense gun control legislation, politicians must be coming for our guns? ~ Mark M. Bello
Courtroom Drama quotes by Mark M. Bello
With 'House of Cards,' you really get the heart and the meat of drama - and it's a thriller! ~ Robin Wright
Courtroom Drama quotes by Robin Wright
I am a work in progress, but I am getting there. ~ Charlena E. Jackson
Courtroom Drama quotes by Charlena E. Jackson
To deny the reported six million (approximately) Jews who died, or the 11 million people in total, is to ignore all the eyewitness accounts from Holocaust survivors, the non-Jewish witnesses of the millions who died the open-air massacres around Europe, the concentration camp guards, Nazi officers who admitted to gassings and other related crimes immediately after WW2, and the universal agreement of all mainstream historians who have studied this historical event inside out – not to mention every single scientist who has ever analyzed forensic evidence retrieved from the Nazi genocide. Not even the most corrupt courtroom on Earth could ignore this much evidence – for collectively these confirmations of the Holocaust equate to irrefutable proof that the reported death toll is indeed correct. It is possibly the most well-documented crime of the 20th Century, but remember for religious extremists, Nazi apologists or other anti-Semites it would never matter how much evidence you put in front of them. They would always deny the Holocaust because to admit the event occurred would be to stop believing the Jews are inferior to them. It would also require such bigots to admit the very uncomfortable truth to themselves: that their 'own kind' did these despicable things to the Jewish people. ~ James Morcan
Courtroom Drama quotes by James Morcan
People who work in offices are crazy, they create an environment they hate, write rules they want to break, cast each other in roles they despise. It's like they're sixth formers in an end of term drama acting out the agony of everything they fear most in their life but they forget to end the play. ~ Helen Smith
Courtroom Drama quotes by Helen Smith
Lights are to drama what music is to the lyrics of a song. The greatest part of my success in the theatre I attribute to my feeling for colors, translated into effects of light. ~ David Belasco
Courtroom Drama quotes by David Belasco
For me, I can't live without acting or drama and writing - I also run a theater company. ~ Tom Cullen
Courtroom Drama quotes by Tom Cullen
Ever since the romantic comedy-drama 'She's Gotta Have It' antagonized black women and black men in 1986, Spike Lee's films have enjoyed the outrage of various groups. ~ Lee Siegel
Courtroom Drama quotes by Lee Siegel
The essence of drama is that man cannot walk away from the consequences of his own deeds. ~ Harold Hayes
Courtroom Drama quotes by Harold Hayes
My advice to you, dear reader, is to eat well and eat frequently. Our time here is pretty short. It's filled with disappointments and drama, and food can make it better. ~ Jim Gaffigan
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jim Gaffigan
I know you always try to make the best of what is given without showing any fear or emotions, but sometimes you have to speak your truth. ~ Charlena E. Jackson
Courtroom Drama quotes by Charlena E. Jackson
My intention, this time, was to transfer a play to the screen while keeping its theatrical character. It was in some senses a matter of walking, invisibly, around the stage and catching the different aspects and nuances in the play, the urgency and the facial expressions that escape a spectator who cannot follow them in detail from a seat in the stalls.
Apart from that, I had noticed how effective a play becomes when you have a bird's-eye view from it, for example from the flies, that is to say from the viewpoint of a voyeur. The Audience is enclosed with the characters in a room lacking its fourth wall and listens to them on equal terms, without the element of my story conferred on scenes of intimacy by the whimsical shape of a keyhole."
"L'aigle à deux têtes is not History. It is a story, an invented story lived out by imaginary heroes, and I should never have dared venture into the realistic world of cinema without being able to rely on the help of Christian Bérard. He has a genius for situating whatever he touches, for giving it a depth in time and space and an appearance of truth that are literally inimitable." (...)

"A drama of this kind would be unacceptable, and almost impossible to tell, unless it was interpreted by superb actors who could instill grandeur and life into it. Edwige Feuillère and Jean Marais, applauded evening after evening in their parts in the play, surpass themselves on the screen and give of themselves, as I suggested above, e ~ Jean Cocteau
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jean Cocteau
I don't myself think much of science as a phase of human development. It has given us a lot of ingenious toys; they take our attention away from the real problems, of course, and since the problems are insoluble, I suppose we ought to be grateful for distraction. But the fact is, the human mind, the individual mind, has always been made more interesting by dwelling on the old riddles, even if it makes nothing of them. Science hasn't given us any new amazements, except of the superficial kind we get from witnessing dexterity and sleight-of-hand. It hasn't given us any richer pleasures, as the Renaissance did, nor any new sins-not one! Indeed, it takes our old ones away. It's the laboratory, not the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sins of the world. You'll agree there is not much thrill about a physiological sin. We were better off when even the prosaic matter of taking nourishment could have the magnificence of a sin. I don't think you help people by making their conduct of no importance-you impoverish them. As long as every man and woman who crowded into the cathedrals on Easter Sunday was a principal in a gorgeous drama with God, glittering angels on one side and the shadows of evil coming and going on the other, life was a rich thing. The king and the beggar had the same chance at miracles and great temptations and revelations. And that's what makes men happy, believing in the mystery and importance of their own little individual lives. It makes us happy to surround our c ~ Willa Cather
Courtroom Drama quotes by Willa Cather
They're really competitive at drama in Texas. ~ Lynn Collins
Courtroom Drama quotes by Lynn Collins
In the case of drama (stage, movies, television ), there appear to be people in almost every audience who never quite fully realize that a play is a set of fictional, symbolic representations. An actor is one who symbolizes other people, real or imagined. [ ... ] Also some years ago it was reported that when Edward G. Robinson, who used to play gangster roles with extraordinary vividness, visited Chicago, local hoodlums would telephone him at his hotel to pay their professional respects. ~ S.I. Hayakawa
Courtroom Drama quotes by S.I. Hayakawa
Plato's sense that this was the only religion that would hold up nowadays was thoroughgoing. The only religion that could be really believed by anyone in his time, he said, is based on belief that the stars have intelligence, and that we and they have immortal souls of some sort.18 The more we learn - and mathematics is the queen of the soul's subjects - the more we will ascend toward self-knowledge and universal truth. This ascension is the drama of Plato's religion. ~ Jennifer Michael Hecht
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jennifer Michael Hecht
As a screenwriter - if you are completely honest with yourself - you can't help but admit that your greatest threat is the audience, where audience is not understood as a demographic category but as a character outside the script to whom the story is addressed. A good part of the drama necessary for uncovering the story resides in the conflict between the storyteller and his/her audience. Audience plays the part of antagonist to the writer's role as protagonist. The writer drives the action, which is forever complicated, frustrated and undermined by the audience's needs and sensibilities. Audience wants you to prove it. Audience has a chip on its shoulder, and doesn't give a damn. Audience has been there and done that in the guise of your mother, your father, your ex-, your worst enemy. Audience laughs at your stupidity and dares you to change its view of you and the story world that you would have it care about. Audience is defiant. It has your number. The only way you can defeat it is by carrying a bigger stick - your only defence is an inspired offence, namely the story. ~ Billy Marshall Stoneking
Courtroom Drama quotes by Billy Marshall Stoneking
I think that the dramas that you find in TV are actually a lot more interesting, typically, than what you find in cinema. ~ Marc Webb
Courtroom Drama quotes by Marc Webb
The Bible is the story of a love drama that looked as if it would end in tragedy - but then Jesus came. ~ Paul David Tripp
Courtroom Drama quotes by Paul David Tripp
I'll put it this way, there was no C.P. Kennedy, there was no Dwight Dickham, we never went in the courtroom. That was the script I got. The affliction that the judge is suffering from was completely different. ~ Susan Downey
Courtroom Drama quotes by Susan Downey
If you count my childhood appearances in a few TV shows and being the son of two well-known actor parents in the U.K., plus three years of drama school, you could say that I've been pretty much surrounded by the business of acting and performing my entire life. ~ Linus Roache
Courtroom Drama quotes by Linus Roache
Not to sound like a jerk, but Jane isn't really my type. Her hair's kinda disastrously curly and she mostly hangs out with guys. My type's a little girlier. And honestly, I don't even like my type of girl that much, let alone other types. Not that I'm asexual or something - I just find Romance Drama unbearable. ~ John Green
Courtroom Drama quotes by John Green
Some people like drama so much that they have to start inventing things because real life isn't interesting enough for them. ~ Lisa Ballantyne
Courtroom Drama quotes by Lisa Ballantyne
We love drama. We love conflict. We need a devil or we'll create one.
None of that is bad. It's just the way human beings operate. ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Courtroom Drama quotes by Chuck Palahniuk
During my trying times, I didn't give up, I became stronger, and the wing that was clipped grew back. ~ Charlena E. Jackson
Courtroom Drama quotes by Charlena E. Jackson
At some point during my research, I came across the term "gender fluid." Reading those words was a revelation. It was like someone tore a layer of gauze off the mirror, and I could see myself clearly for the first time. There was a name for what I was. It was a thing. Gender fluid.

Sitting there in front of my computer--like I am right now--I knew I would never be the same. I could never go back to seeing it the old way; I could never go back to not knowing what I was.

But did that glorious moment of revelation really change anything? I don't know. Sometimes, I don't think so. I may have a name for what I am now--but I'm just as confused and out of place as I was before. And if today is any indication, I'm still playing out that scene in the toy store--trying to pick the thing that will cause the least amount of drama. And not having much success. ~ Jeff Garvin
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jeff Garvin
Taylor: "Show me your craftiness. I'll give you one question."
Jeremy: "I'm a big believer in first impressions," he finally said. "Tell me what your first thought was when Jason walked into the courtroom."
Taylor: "I vowed to hate him forever."
Jeremy: "That's exactly what I said nineteen years ago, five minutes after he first walked into our dorm room."
...
Jason : "Did I miss something?"
Taylor: "You're a bit older than I thought, Jason Andrews."
Jason glanced quickly at Jeremy, who held up his hands innocently.
Jeremy: "I swear, she forced it out of me. ~ Julie James
Courtroom Drama quotes by Julie James
My eyes refuse to let him leave, but he stands still holding my hand, lingering for as long as possible. ~ Thomas Sweeney
Courtroom Drama quotes by Thomas Sweeney
Show me a man that gets rich by being a politician, and I'll show you a crook. ~ Harry Truman
Courtroom Drama quotes by Harry Truman
It's a basic tenet you learn at drama school. If you're playing someone evil, you can't make an objective moral judgment. You've got to get inside the character and empathize as much as possible. ~ Jacki Weaver
Courtroom Drama quotes by Jacki Weaver
The artist cannot hold back; it is impossible, because writing, or any other discipline of art, involves participation in suffering, in the ills and the occasional stabbing joys that come from being part of the human drama. ~ Madeleine L'Engle
Courtroom Drama quotes by Madeleine L'Engle
Now, drama is quite useful at helping us to understand what our position is and, conversely, we might then understand why our theatre is being destroyed. ~ Edward Bond
