I think that you're very aware that you're shooting a 3D film for a movie that's beloved to the fan community, and that it's going to be on people's radar, and that you have to be excellent. I think it evolved over time how epic it has become. The first time we went to Comic-Con after we finished shooting I went, "oh my goodness, oh my goodness!" ~ Christine Bieselin Clark
Comic Con quotes by Christine Bieselin Clark

Comic Con quotes by Anthony Head
It's been four years. It's been the best four years. It's been wonderful, it's been a privilege to work under Steven Moffat. But I think when you gotta go, you gotta go It's sad, I'm going to miss it. I'm going to miss Comic-Con as well. It wasn't an easy decision, but I dunno, you can't play it forever. And, look, they'll get someone amazing and brilliant, and that's the great thing about the show. It continues, and it will get bigger and better. And you'll forget about me. ~ Matt Smith
Comic Con quotes by Matt Smith

Comic Con quotes by Scott Aukerman

Comic Con quotes by Eric Wight
For us it's always about making sure that there's substance, that things are well thought out, they're real, they're going to happen versus just haphazardly making Hollywood type announcements. So that's where we are there [on Comic-Con], just making sure that when we do something to say that it's something. ~ Thomas Tull
Comic Con quotes by Thomas Tull
My first Comic-Con was when I first met Joss Whedon: He introduced me to that world and I'd never been to a convention before that. He and a bunch of the 'Buffy' and 'Angel' writers were all going down in a big van and he invited me along. ~ Nathan Fillion
Comic Con quotes by Nathan Fillion
These people who come to Comic-Con and dress up - all across the country, the rest of the population who doesn't understand are scoffing at them. ~ William Shatner
Comic Con quotes by William Shatner
Comic Con has become a very relevant venue for all films. ~ Jon Favreau
Comic Con quotes by Jon Favreau

Comic Con quotes by Mike Royer
People still go to Comic-Con because they love comics. ~ Rashida Jones
Comic Con quotes by Rashida Jones
When I was backstage at Comic-Con, about to go out and do the panel for Thor, and Joss Whedon ran up and introduced himself, I already almost passed out, right then. And then, he said, "I've been meaning to call you. You have a big part in The Avengers. Can we introduce you as part of the cast?" It was pretty Make-A-Wish Foundation. I was pretty sure I was dying and nobody had told me yet. ~ Clark Gregg
Comic Con quotes by Clark Gregg
It struck Sophie that Comic-Con was something like a modern-day Brigadoon, a thriving city of a hundred and fifty thousand people that sprang up here in San Diego for less than a week every summer. People flocked to it from across the nation and around the world to populate it for its all-too-short existence, played their chosen roles, then dispersed back to their real homes as soon as the city disappeared. And the next summer, they'd do it all over again, forming a living history of their own in annual installments. ~ Matt Forbeck
Comic Con quotes by Matt Forbeck
I like Comic-Con. It's always nice to talk to people who are fans of 'Children's Hospital.' ~ Ken Marino
Comic Con quotes by Ken Marino
We've had such a close relationship with the fans. Through social networking and the internet, we have much more contact, and we did go to things like Comic-Con. So, I think people know most of our secrets. ~ John Noble
Comic Con quotes by John Noble
I've played D&D for years. I'm a comic book guy. Comic-Con in San Diego is nerd Christmas for me. ~ Brian Posehn
Comic Con quotes by Brian Posehn
Comic-Con is interesting because there's so much going on at once, it's literally impossible to do everything. You need clones and some sort of hoverboard so you can surf over the crowd of packed-in nerds. ~ Chris Hardwick
Comic Con quotes by Chris Hardwick
Comic-Con is a special kind of crazy. ~ Denis O'Hare
Comic Con quotes by Denis O'Hare
We live in a bubble sometimes, and you can get out of touch with your fans. You go to the studio, you come home. But coming to Comic-Con is a real opportunity to connect with the people that made your show happen and are responsible for its continued success. It's really humbling. ~ Kunal Nayyar
Comic Con quotes by Kunal Nayyar
At the end of the day I have many answers for it. It has to do with my mom, who was an extraordinary woman, and a great feminist. It has to do with the people in my life. It has to do with a lot of different things, but
I don't know! Because I'm not just writing from the female characters for other people. I have a desire to see them in our culture
that was not met for most of my childhood. Except occasionally by James Cameron.
[From the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, in response to being asked why he writes strong female characters.] ~ Joss Whedon
Comic Con quotes by Joss Whedon
Coming back for Comic-Con. Now that the seal has been broken and we all know each other as in know each other, expect you and Chace to meet me there," Benji told me and my mind filled with thoughts of Chace at a Comic-Con.
Because it did, I burst out laughing.
Chace's eyes came right to me and seeing the look on his face, openly happy, I sighed again but this time on the inside.
I grinned at him but murmured, "I'm not sure that'll ever happen."
"I am," Ally replied and I tore my eyes away from my husband ...
My husband.
I looked to her. "No way."
Ally looked to me. "That man would do anything for you. Even commune with a bunch of geeks."
Well, I figured she would know. Since she had one like mine.
I grinned at her. ~ Kristen Ashley
Comic Con quotes by Kristen Ashley
My absolute favorite part of Comic-Con is seeing, like, a 'Mass Effect' guy hanging out with a 'Sailor Moon,' and they're just having a great time. ~ Joss Whedon
Comic Con quotes by Joss Whedon
Comic-Con is overwhelming when you have such a long day of press schedules. ~ Lyndsy Fonseca
Comic Con quotes by Lyndsy Fonseca
Comic-Con is so legendary, so a great thrill to be invited along. ~ Peter Capaldi
Comic Con quotes by Peter Capaldi
Comic-Con fans are so affectionate, and it's always a lovely way to start a new season. ~ Kunal Nayyar
Comic Con quotes by Kunal Nayyar
That's the best thing about being an actor. If you're in a baseball movie, you walk away knowing way more about baseball, or if you're in a sci-fi film, you learn way more about Comic-Con, and so I loved all that. ~ Topher Grace
Comic Con quotes by Topher Grace
I'm not a comic book guy. I've never been to Comic-Con. I don't know anything about that. It's a whole different world. ~ Scott Glenn
Comic Con quotes by Scott Glenn
I got to go to New York Comic-Con. I've never been and I've heard it's crazy, so I'd love to see it. To be quite honest, I'd like for people to want us to be there, too. I'm hoping. I'm knocking on wood, so we'll see. ~ Steven Yeun
Comic Con quotes by Steven Yeun
The "problem" is that Comic-Con is so damned successful. People who are there seem to have a wonderful time. The very size of it makes it exciting. Wherever you look, there's something exciting. The attendees are always looking around for a familiar face. It's either 'There's a movie star!' Or, 'There's a TV star!' Or, 'There's the guy who drew the Green Lantern!' It means so much to the fans. It makes them feel like they're where it's happening. It's like Woodstock. ~ Stan Lee
Comic Con quotes by Stan Lee
I've always wanted to come to Comic Con. ~ Jon Huertas
Comic Con quotes by Jon Huertas
If you want to go on the floor, go in disguise because otherwise you won't be able to. I would just put on a full Darth Vader costume and walk through Comic-Con so I can actually check it out and enjoy it as opposed to being approached by everyone, which is lovely, but it gets very difficult to enjoy because there's so many people there. ~ Kunal Nayyar
Comic Con quotes by Kunal Nayyar
Comic-Con was crazy, good crazy ... Five minutes after I'm done, the cast of 'Twilight' is where I was sitting. ~ Erin Morgenstern
Comic Con quotes by Erin Morgenstern
I'm a geek who loves fashion. There's been a reinvention of the word geek. It means being passionate about anything that's under the radar or sort of frowned upon, like Comic-Con. ~ Kristen Bell
Comic Con quotes by Kristen Bell
I remember the first job I ever had was working on 'Firefly,' and I was talking to Joss Whedon, and he was asking if I was going to Comic-Con. He called me a loser for not going that first year. ~ Michael McMillian
Comic Con quotes by Michael McMillian
(Playing with Jeffster at Comic-Con) was absolutely the scariest thing I have ever done. I literally skipped over the 'what a great moment' to 'oh, my God, I can't believe I have to do this.' And when I was up there, the people were, like, "Oh, my God," and they were all screaming and stuff. But I didn't hear a thing. I was just in my own little bubble of horror and panic, utterly, utterly blanched with terror. ~ Vik Sahay
Comic Con quotes by Vik Sahay
No true fan wants to go to Comic-Con and get assaulted with a marketing blitz about just any old show. ~ Jim Lee
Comic Con quotes by Jim Lee
I just typed up three, four paragraphs of an idea and dropped it in a box at the Chicago Comic Con in the summer of 2000, I guess, or 2001 - I forget. I just dropped it on a stack of a giant pile of dozens of other entries. Months later, I was thrilled to get a call from a Marvel editor while I was working my crappy day-job. ~ Jason Aaron
Comic Con quotes by Jason Aaron
Comic-Con is so much fun. ~ Rutina Wesley
Comic Con quotes by Rutina Wesley
I think Hollywood has seen what fandom can do for a project. You can definitely see that when you go to Comic-con. ~ Felicia Day
Comic Con quotes by Felicia Day
Naked, tattooed men meandered around, lit torches, congregated in groups, spoke in hushed voices. It was like pictures I had seen on the internet of Comic Con, except no one was wearing a cape. And there were no females. So, yes, it was just like Comic Con. ~ Heather Rigney
Comic Con quotes by Heather Rigney
I love nerds. Comic-Con junkies are the tastemakers of tomorrow. Isn't that funny? The tables have turned. ~ Kristen Bell
Comic Con quotes by Kristen Bell
Every time I go to Comic-Con, I'm jacked. I want to dress up and walk the floor and answer questions, because I'm excited about it. It's like making new friends. ~ Mae Whitman
Comic Con quotes by Mae Whitman
I've never been to Comic-Con, but I'm certainly aware from this side of the Atlantic that it's a very important part of film marketing now, even when the films are not directly linked to a comic. ~ Alex Garland
Comic Con quotes by Alex Garland
It's not Comic Con any more. It's this huge marketplace for the motion picture and television industry. And the toy manufacturer's and the game people. One of the problems with International Comic Con is that tickets go on sale for the next year's event and the place is full of thousands and thousands of kids who have scraped together every dime to get admittance because they want to get all the freebies. ~ Mike Royer
Comic Con quotes by Mike Royer
I grew up in a small town in Kansas, so I love meeting the fans. Those are the people who spend time out of their day to watch the things that I've done, and I've gotten to do some great supernatural stuff - 'Teen Wolf' and 'The Gates' before that - so it's nice when I get to go to Comic-Con every year. ~ Colton Haynes
Comic Con quotes by Colton Haynes
Man, I put myself in a lot of comic strips. Something's wrong with my sense of self. ~ Stephan Pastis
Comic Con quotes by Stephan Pastis
I've always felt England was a great place for a comic to work. It's an island and the audience can't run very far. ~ Bob Hope
Comic Con quotes by Bob Hope
Emmett Till's name still catches in my throat,
like syllables waylaid in a stutterer's mouth.
A fourteen-year-old stutterer, in the South
to visit relatives and to be taught
the family's ways. His mother had finally bought
that White Sox cap; she'd made him swear an oath
to be careful around white folks. She'd told him the truth
of many a Mississippi anecdote:
Some white folks have blind souls. In his suitcase
she'd packed dungarees, T-shirts, underwear,
and comic books. She'd given him a note
for the conductor, waved to his chubby face,
wondered if he'd remember to brush his hair.
Her only child. A body left to bloat. ~ Marilyn Nelson
Comic Con quotes by Marilyn Nelson
I'm feeling a low regarding writing. I sometimes think I should finish working on my book of stripper poetry that I started, but other times I feel like it's not worth it. Sometimes I think I should work on my comic book idea, and then other times I want to work on a website, and still other times I think I should be working on this memoir. That's a lot of thinking about writing without a whole lot of writing going on. ~ Sheila Hageman
Comic Con quotes by Sheila Hageman
I'm not a child star, but you could say that I've grown up on TV. I went from being an unknown, down-and-out comic from Brooklyn and the Bronx to being a regular character on a major network comedy called 'Martin.' From there I went on to become the most notable black comic on 'Saturday Night Live' since Eddie Murphy. ~ Tracy Morgan
Comic Con quotes by Tracy Morgan
I had seen other comic friends of mine go to indie labels. Like David Cross and Pat Oswald went to Subpop, and Subpop didn't make total sense for me, but the metal version of that did. So I made a small list with Metal Blade, Prosthetic and couple of other labels, and Relapse was one of them. ~ Brian Posehn
Comic Con quotes by Brian Posehn
Taking a comic strip character is very hard to write. Because comics are meant to work in one page, to work in frames with minimalistic dialogue. And a lot of it is left to the imagination of the reader. To do that in film, you've got to be a little more explanatory. And that requires a good screenplay and good dialogue. ~ Ridley Scott
Comic Con quotes by Ridley Scott
Owing to the difficulty of dealing with substances of high molecular weight we are still a long way from having determined the chemical characteristics and the constitution of proteins, which are regarded as the principal con-stituents of living organisms. ~ Karl Landsteiner
Comic Con quotes by Karl Landsteiner
The Con-U storage facility is the most amazing space I have ever seen. Keep in mind that I recently worked at a vertical bookstore and even more recently visited a secret subterranean library. Keep in mind, also, that I saw the Sistine Chapel when I was a kid, and , as part of science camp, I got to visit a particle accelerator. This warehouse has them all beat. ~ Robin Sloan
Comic Con quotes by Robin Sloan
When I was a kid, growing up during the 1970s, I used to read a lot of horror and science fiction. I graduated from comic books to paperbacks around the time I first entered my teens. And I want to say that what 99% of that stuff tells you about supposed encounters with the unknown is a formulaic convention. No one faints like a chicken-shit or else reaches for their weapon like Arnie Schwarzenegger in the face of something so utterly terrifying there isn't even a name for it. What those writers don't know is what happens in an encounter with the outside is this: that the moment slows down to such an extent that time itself simply stands still in your head. I suppose that fact doesn't make for good characterisation. It's incommunicable. I think they call it the numinous.

I once did a semester in creative writing back after graduating, around the decade King was outselling every other author on the planet, but could never make the grade. Still, I read a lot of the best attempts. Maybe that's why someone like Lovecraft, or Machen, or one of the old-school writers of that stuff I used to read had almost pulled it off. They were no good at characterisation and tended to use ciphers, presenting the phenomenon itself as the main protagonist, because it was the way things are when you encounter it. The thing empties you, draining out any semblance of normalcy, no matter what your history is, or what you think you're all about. Real horror consists not of the worst thing i ~ Mark Samuels
Comic Con quotes by Mark Samuels
You're not a road comic till you've watched Real Sex and American Greed alone in your hotel room. ~ Iliza Shlesinger
Comic Con quotes by Iliza Shlesinger
When I was a comic in the 1980s, I was on the road somewhere every day, and I'd get back to the hotel, and it was Carson and Letterman, and I looked forward to that all day. ~ Jerry Seinfeld
Comic Con quotes by Jerry Seinfeld
I've always liked the tradition of publishing work serially in the comic-book 'pamphlet' format and then collecting that work in book form, so I've just stuck with it. ~ Adrian Tomine
Comic Con quotes by Adrian Tomine
If you can inspire a kid that's maybe the best part of being a comic book artist. ~ Marko Djurdjevic
Comic Con quotes by Marko Djurdjevic
I had never seen a Marvel comic. ~ Rene Russo
Comic Con quotes by Rene Russo
Cause that's the thing about boomerangs, right? They come back even if they feel they shouldn't, they come back even if the world tries to stop them, they come back because they ultimately know where they belong ... and who they belong to. ~ Con Template
Comic Con quotes by Con Template
As a comic, you learn to use your voice because you don't have the benefit of visual things. ~ Jeff Foxworthy
Comic Con quotes by Jeff Foxworthy
It's my mission to try and give people fighting the disease the same gifts of laughter and a positive attitude I had. Hopefully, my career as a comic will give me the forum to touch these people. ~ Robert Schimmel
Comic Con quotes by Robert Schimmel
Hart and Hope," I muttered. "If you're going to name your kids like that, of course they're going to think they live in a comic book. ~ Alyxandra Harvey
Comic Con quotes by Alyxandra Harvey
You either ignore the comic book and make a great movie or you stay very close to the comic book. ~ Matthew Vaughn
Comic Con quotes by Matthew Vaughn
I wanted to make an explicitly educational comic that taught readers the concepts I covered in my introductory programming class. That's what 'Secret Coders' is. It's both a fun story about a group of tweens who discover a secret coding school, and an explanation of some foundational ideas in computer science. ~ Gene Luen Yang
Comic Con quotes by Gene Luen Yang
When I met my wife, I was a working comic, so the first week we went out, she saw me perform, and it was very clear what I do. ~ Mike Birbiglia
Comic Con quotes by Mike Birbiglia
Sometimes people try to read into my strip and find out what my state of mind is. And I can say if I'm in a good mood, generally the comic strip starts out in a good mood, but the punchline is very negative and sour. ~ Matt Groening
Comic Con quotes by Matt Groening
We had come to see blackguards; but these men were something worse. There is a comic side, more or less appreciable, in all blackguardism - here there was nothing but tragedy - mute, weird tragedy. The quiet in the room was horrible. ~ Wilkie Collins
Comic Con quotes by Wilkie Collins
It's almost like these games are the modern day comic books, especially when you play Alone in the Dark. There's a real story that goes along with it and a movie seemed like the right kind of transition to make. ~ Christian Slater
Comic Con quotes by Christian Slater
Life to most Greeks may be either tragic or comic or a mixture of both; but one thing it never is - and that is, meaningless. ~ Helen Clark MacInnes
Comic Con quotes by Helen Clark MacInnes
Mainly horror movies and exploitation movies and a lot of stuff comes from those press books from those old movies. Lines out of old movies, comic books that we collect, all the old horror comics of the 50s, probably about the only comics that we collect are obscure horror comics, the real sick ones from the 50s. Some stuff comes from there but mainly just old records, old rockabilly records and that stuff, singles mainly, 45s. ~ Lux Interior
Comic Con quotes by Lux Interior
I played Dungeons & Dragons and have read comic books since I was a kid. ~ Phil LaMarr
Comic Con quotes by Phil LaMarr
I'd rather have less time than I think, than less think than I have time. ~ The Covert Comic
Comic Con quotes by The Covert Comic
We often hear of a male director directing a great indie and immediately being offered the next huge comic book movie. Rarely, if ever, does this happen to a woman. ~ Lesli Linka Glatter
Comic Con quotes by Lesli Linka Glatter
We were pregnant at the time, and while I was out there I started to realize that if I had a daughter, there would come a day when I would have to apologize to her for my profession. I would have to apologize for the way it treats and speaks to women readers, and the way it treats its female characters. ~ Matt Fraction
Comic Con quotes by Matt Fraction
The good news is that the comics field is small enough and informal enough that once you have made a comic, you have achieved your dreams: you have broken into the comics industry. The problem with breaking in, though, is that staying in is harder. ~ Greg Pak
Comic Con quotes by Greg Pak
If you can't handle my CRAZY ... You don't deserve my AWESOME! ~ Tanya Masse
Comic Con quotes by Tanya Masse
Hardison held up a gigantic bag that Parker could have used as a dress. "I picked up all sorts of things," he said with a smile. "I grabbed the entire run of Chew, and I savaged the first trade paperback for the Magic: The Gathering comic, signed by the writer, no less. ~ Matt Forbeck
Comic Con quotes by Matt Forbeck
The really cool thing about when you're playing a comic book character is that no one knows what he sounds like. ~ Josh McDermitt
Comic Con quotes by Josh McDermitt
Ty is green but never with envy. Best of all, he's usually available to help move a heavy piece of furniture. ~ John Hopkins
