Charity work is very important to me and gives me an opportunity to give back to my community. I've always been a big supporter of many different charities, have donated millions of dollars to them, and it just feels great to do and be able to help others, especially children. ~ Richard MacDonald
Charity Work quotes by Richard MacDonald
Today, somehow in some way, I will manage to help somebody who doesn't look or talk like me, someone who is in need and doesn't care about the outer me, someone who is hopefully able to recognize a sincere gesture of kindness and love. ~ Germany Kent
Charity Work quotes by Germany Kent
While we do our good works let us not forget that the real solution lies in a world in which charity will have become unnecessary. ~ Chinua Achebe
Charity Work quotes by Chinua Achebe
It's almost charity work, what people have done, turning other people on to my music. ~ John Mayer
Charity Work quotes by John Mayer
There is only one reason to do a charity golf tournament. To make money! But while golf tournaments can be exhausting, time-consuming and fraught with risk, they can be downright satisfying and profitable if done right. Ultimately a golf tournament may be the hardest work you'll ever love. - Tom King ~ Tom King
Charity Work quotes by Tom King
I'd love to have a lasting impact as far as growing the game. It would be cool to be remembered as a major champion. I'd like to be remembered as a great golfer but also a great person, as far as growing the game and charity work. The whole well-rounded athlete. ~ Rickie Fowler
Charity Work quotes by Rickie Fowler
Among the many people Chris met while doing charity work was Randy Cupp, who invited him and Bubba out to shoot with him come deer season. When Chris passed away, Randy made it clear to me that the offer not only still stood, but that he would love to give Bubba a chance to kill his first buck.
With deer season upon us, the kids and I decided to take him up on the offer. Angel, Bubba, and I went out to his property on a beautiful morning. Setting out for the blind, I felt Chris's presence, as if he were scouting along with us. We settled into our spots and waited.
A big buck came across in front of us a short time later. It was an easy shot--except that Bubba had neglected to put his ear protection in. He scrambled to get it in, but by the time he was ready, the animal had bounded off. Deer--and opportunities--are like that.
We waited some more.
Another buck came out from the trees not five minutes later. And this one was not only in range, but it was bigger than the first: a thirteen pointer.
Chris must have scared that thing up.
"That's the one," said Randy as the animal pranced forward.
Bubba took a shot.
The deer scooted off as the gunshot echoed. My son thought he'd missed, but Randy was sure he'd hit him. At first, we didn't see a blood trail--a bad sign, since a wounded animal generally leaves an easily spotted trail. But a few steps later, we found the body prone in the woods. Bubba had killed him with a shot to the lungs.

Charity Work quotes by Taya Kyle
Charity work. Any smart, ethical business owner is going to be involved with something that gives back, whether it is at the community level, in the fight against a specific disease, or in a broad campaign to address another social issue. If you are willing to take the time to roll up your sleeves - first, to find out what groups your targeted mentor works with, and second, to start giving your money, time, or resources to that same group - you can find inroads to business mentors very quickly, and all while pursuing a worthy cause. ~ Ryan Blair
Charity Work quotes by Ryan Blair
I don't think we should judge celebrities for doing charity work. Period. Whatever their reasons for doing it, they are shedding light on issues that would otherwise go unnoticed. ~ Liya Kebede
Charity Work quotes by Liya Kebede
That's why charity work is very selfish at the same time, because it makes you feel good. ~ Maria Menounos
Charity Work quotes by Maria Menounos
After my touring life, I'd love to be more involved with charity. It gives me a lot of fulfillment, you know? I would love to get people who are into my music more active in charity work. In the future, when I have more time, I'd love to do spend more time on that. ~ Tiesto
Charity Work quotes by Tiesto
It's hard to make things right for everyone."

"But if everybody helped just one person, lots of people would get helped. ~ Linwood Barclay
Charity Work quotes by Linwood Barclay
Religion has become to many merely a means of doing a little charity work, just to amuse them after a hard day's labour - they get five minutes religion to amuse them. This is the danger with the liberal thought. ~ Swami Vivekananda
Charity Work quotes by Swami Vivekananda
I definitely only want to do charity work that I'm hands-on involved in. I don't want to get a dress on and go to a stupid event. ~ Erin Heatherton
Charity Work quotes by Erin Heatherton
I have a lot of charity work I'm into right now, and selling my Chakalates - supporting that whole effort. ~ Chaka Khan
Charity Work quotes by Chaka Khan
The big thing that Moneypenny changed was the amount of charity work that I was able to be involved with. ~ Samantha Bond
Charity Work quotes by Samantha Bond
Be patient. Be bold. Be humble. Be confident. Don't give in to the speed and surface banality of the culture. Don't give in to jealousy, commerce, or fear. Do charity work, or coach kids, or be a Big Brother or Sister, or something. Whatever it takes to get out of your own head and avoid authorial narcissism. And whatever you do, don't ever take advice from authors. ~ Jess Walter
Charity Work quotes by Jess Walter
People have read so much hype about passion that they feel they are missing something because they do not jump out of bed champing at the bit to get to work. They are afraid that if they are not completely engaged, then they must be dull and uninteresting at best, spiritually bankrupt at worst.

The reality is that not everyone needs to feel passionate in their work. Lifestylers, for example, want to have a general sense of professional accomplishment, but they derive their sense of personal fulfillment from activities outside their workplace, whether sports, hobbies, charity work, or family.

Many people fulfill vital functions in out society without loving their work, yet they are content in their lives. Perhaps it is only the current obsession with passion that leads some to worry that something is missing. ~ Barbara Moses
Charity Work quotes by Barbara Moses
If you think you're doing some charity work with me… something altruistic by taking pity on poor little Lanie, get over it now, mister - "

Her fork flew right out of her hand, past Kyle's shoulder. She sat there for a second staring disbelievingly at her empty hand. Then she narrowed her eyes at Kyle and snatched the fork out of his hand and used it.
-"That's my fork, Lanie."
-"Fork you, Kyle, ~ M.K. Schiller
Charity Work quotes by M.K. Schiller
I'm stoned on my music. I'm intoxicated by my joyful calendar between the tours, and the hunting, and the charity work, and the family time, and just my lifestyle living on a ranch in Texas and back when I lived on my ranch in Michigan. It's the epitome of individual independence, self-sufficiency, hands-on, earthly celebration and we tour every summer like complete animals. ~ Ted Nugent
Charity Work quotes by Ted Nugent
There is no better feeling than doing well while you are doing good. If you really want to meet the nicest, most caring people in your field, get involved with charity work. The thankless hours that go into planning charity dinners, running a carnival, and gathering donations for silent auctions are noticed and appreciated. ~ Jay Samit
Charity Work quotes by Jay Samit
I open events for museums and I do charity work and photography. ~ Bill Wyman
Charity Work quotes by Bill Wyman
There may not be any romance to mental illness but who needs romance when the preferable route is agency? The prevailing conversation around mental health issues is agency and the lack thereof on the part of the mentally ill. But what do you do if you're a paid-up member of the mentally ill populace in question? Do you curl up into a ball and give up? No, you look for solutions. Ultimately, it's about keeping despair at bay and sometimes simple things like running, taking up a hobby, doing charity work, painting or, in my case, writing can be a galvanizing part of the recovery process. Keeping the brain and the body active can give life a semblance of pleasure and hope. This is what writing has done for me. I took every traumatic element of my condition and channelled it into something useful. ~ Diriye Osman
Charity Work quotes by Diriye Osman
I have charity work that I do. I started my own charity, the Friends of the Prostate, and I'm also working on awareness of the deviated septum. I do this because not many people are interested in it. There's also Save the Funnel-web - they're dying out. ~ Barry Humphries
Charity Work quotes by Barry Humphries
The mother of a student in Europe who was between his junior and senior years of high school called Motto in a frantic state. She had just read somewhere that college admissions offices looked for kids who had spent their summers in enriching ways, ideally doing charity work, and her son was due to be on vacation with the rest of the family in August. "Should we ditch our plans," she asked Motto, "and have him build dirt roads?" Motto reminded her that she lived in a well-paved European capital. "Where would these dirt roads be?" he said. "India?" she suggested. "Africa?" She hadn't worked it out. But if Yale might be impressed by an image of her son with a small spade, large shovel, rake or jackhammer in his chafed hands, she was poised to find a third-world setting that would produce that sweaty and ennobling tableau. ~ Frank Bruni
Charity Work quotes by Frank Bruni
I believe God wants you to have money to pay your bills, send your kids to college and do charity work and build orphanages. There's the teaching that we're supposed to be poor to show that we're humble. I don't buy that. I think we're supposed to be leaders. We're supposed to excel. ~ Joel Osteen
Charity Work quotes by Joel Osteen
God gave you two hands one belongs to you and the other to your fellow man. ~ Auliq Ice
Charity Work quotes by Auliq Ice
It feels so good making so much money when other people have to work for so much less but it is so much beautiful if humanity takes much from you, it is an investment into life. ~ Auliq Ice
Charity Work quotes by Auliq Ice
Tim Tebow is one of my biggest inspirations. I actually want to be able to do some of the things that he does in terms of the amount of charity work and the non-profit work, and the way he impacts people off the field. I think that is what is most inspiring to me about him. ~ Jeremy Lin
Charity Work quotes by Jeremy Lin
It's very difficult to ignore humanitarian disasters. The royalties from my albums continue to support my charity work. ~ Cat Stevens
Charity Work quotes by Cat Stevens
I do a lot of stuff. I mean, you know, charity work. ~ Sylvia Browne
Charity Work quotes by Sylvia Browne
Growing up, I saw my dad do charity work for children with health issues. That had a profound effect on me. ~ David Boreanaz
Charity Work quotes by David Boreanaz
I do as much charity work as I can and that my family life will allow. I do believe charity begins at home and the more we focus on our families, the better they will be. ~ Jamie Lee Curtis
Charity Work quotes by Jamie Lee Curtis
Doing charity work is always cool. It's always a good thing. ~ Lee DeWyze
Charity Work quotes by Lee DeWyze
Take charity work for example; the motivation of my various charitable activities is neither for fame nor profits. It is my sincere wish that, through my efforts, more people can realize how important it is to protect our planet and to start to act for a change. ~ Li Bingbing
Charity Work quotes by Li Bingbing
I want to make the most out of the word 'fame.' I want to do good things with my fame, or whatever it is. I want to help and do charity work. ~ Ali Lohan
Charity Work quotes by Ali Lohan
Charity is the best form of prayer. Do whatever little you can to help the not so fortunate. You may donate a small portion of your income, you may take out time to teach the underprivileged children, sponsor a meal for the hungry or just spend some time with an old lady who has no one. I am sure that you will move one level high on the spiritual plane. Like prayers, doing charity once is not enough. You have to do it continuously, as much as possible. ~ Neelam Saxena Chandra
Charity Work quotes by Neelam Saxena Chandra
For me, I grew up in a house doing charity work for homeless people, and my parents had a lot of homeless friends. We were always taught to not discriminate and not judge. ~ Shenae Grimes
Charity Work quotes by Shenae Grimes
I've always thought of myself as a role model even before being a 'celebrity.' I've always been doing charity work and volunteering in the community since I was 8, so when you do that, I think you just assume that role when you put yourself out there. ~ Eva Longoria
Charity Work quotes by Eva Longoria
Lady Kingsley, when you read this, do attempt to keep an open mind."

"I will if you will," she retorted hotly.

To her surprise, he chuckled. "I daresay neither of us will. It's a pity, too, because if we could ever see our way clear to agreeing on a matter, we might accomplish a great deal of good in this world."

It infuriated her that he could pretend to care even one whit for these boys. "Now you've confused me. I'd assumed that your reason for serving on so many charitable boards was to further your political aims. Yet all the time you were merely hoping to accomplish some 'good in this world.' How very astonishing."

Just that quickly, his amusement vanished. "While I don't pretend to be as morally superior as you and your late husband, my intentions are good, no matter what you make of them. It may shock you to learn that those of us with character flaws sometimes do as much good as those of you without. ~ Sabrina Jeffries
Charity Work quotes by Sabrina Jeffries
You must be prepared to sacrifice your self-love to the cause, you must be ready to treat the cause as if it is life itself. ~ Auliq Ice
Charity Work quotes by Auliq Ice
I love music. I love filmmaking. I love law enforcement. I love doing a lot of the green work that I do, the charity work that I do, and I don't think that any one person has to be just one thing. ~ Steven Seagal
Charity Work quotes by Steven Seagal
I always interrupt work with other work, either in a small way or big way, so that's normal. ~ Lydia Davis
Charity Work quotes by Lydia Davis
A challenging life isn't impossible to overcome, but it does mean that you might have to work a little harder to overcome it. ~ Karon Waddell
Charity Work quotes by Karon Waddell
I don't feel sure about doing good in any way now; everything seems like going on a mission to a people whose language I don't know. ~ George Eliot
Charity Work quotes by George Eliot
The essential cultural discrimination is not between having and not having or haves and have-nots, but between the superfluous and the indispensable. Wisdom, it seems to me, is always poised upon the knowledge of minimums; it might be thought to be the art of minimums. Granting the frailty, and no doubt the impermanence, of modern technology as a human contrivance, the man who can keep a fire in a stove or on a hearth is not only more durable, but wiser, closer to the meaning of fire, than the man who can only work a thermostat. ~ Wendell Berry
Charity Work quotes by Wendell Berry
My work on human capital began with an effort to calculate both private and social rates of return to men, women, blacks, and other groups from investments in different levels of education. ~ Gary Becker
Charity Work quotes by Gary Becker
Here's to all volunteers, those dedicated people who believe in all work and no pay. ~ Robert Orben
Charity Work quotes by Robert Orben
Reading a poem is a real thing, a worthy thing. So to be there right with the reader at that moment is part of the effect of a title like "Poem for" something or other. Matt Rohrer does this a lot in his titles, and I think I might have gotten some of the idea to do this, or at least been reminded of how it can work, from his recent amazing books. ~ Matthew Zapruder
Charity Work quotes by Matthew Zapruder
Perform every job as if you're being well paid...Respect yourself and your work as if you're being paid to be the Boss. ~ Lauren Graham
Charity Work quotes by Lauren Graham
If she herself had had any picture of the future, it had been of a society of animals set free from hunger and the whip, all equal, each working according to his capacity, the strong protecting the weak, as she had protected the lost brood of ducklings with her foreleg on the night of Major's speech. Instead–she did not know why–they had come to a time when no one dared speak his mind, when fierce, growling dogs roamed everywhere, and when you had to watch your comrades torn to pieces after confessing to shocking crimes. There was no thought of rebellion or disobedience in her mind. She knew that, even as things were, they were far better off than they had been in the days of Jones, and that before all else it was needful to prevent the return of the human beings. Whatever happened she would remain faithful, work hard, carry out the orders that were given to her, and accept the leadership of Napoleon. But still, it was not for this that she and all the other animals had hoped and toiled. It was not for this that they had built the windmill and faced the bullets of Jones's gun. Such were her thoughts, though she lacked the words to express them.
At last, feeling this to be in some way a substitute for the words she was unable to find, she began to sing Beasts of England. The other animals sitting round her took it up, and they sang it three times over–very tunefully, but slowly and mournfully, in a way they had never sung it before. ~ George Orwell
Charity Work quotes by George Orwell
My personal guide to living: don't work too hard, don't think too much, and don't take anything too seriously. ~ Marty Rubin
Charity Work quotes by Marty Rubin
We all wish we could be in more than one place at the same time. People with families feel guilty all the time-if we spend too much time with our family, we feel we're not working hard enough. ~ Harold Ramis
Charity Work quotes by Harold Ramis
You fascinate me." Chris leaned away so he could see her face. "How so?" "You quote Augustine, and you make an awesome campfire. You carry a rosary in your pocket, and you're going to work at a brewery. You're a virgin, and you ride a Harley. ~ Carolyn Astfalk
Charity Work quotes by Carolyn Astfalk
If an honest man is the noblest work of God, then Mr. Lincoln's title to high nobility is clear and unquestioned. ~ Matthew Simpson
Charity Work quotes by Matthew Simpson
Some people just have a natural gift and some people really have to work at it and I'm more of the second kind. I always had to grind it out, where from him it just flowed. ~ Ralph Reese
Charity Work quotes by Ralph Reese
Some people say my work is often depressing and pessimistic, with the emphasis on death, blood, overcrowding, strange beings and so on, but I don't really think it is. ~ H.R. Giger
Charity Work quotes by H.R. Giger
Housework would never be her crowning achievement, the life's work for which she'd be known. ~ Gail Anderson-Dargatz
Charity Work quotes by Gail Anderson-Dargatz
Hope, though; now there's a real pest. Hope doesn't just nibble your cheese and chew holes in your skirting boards. Hope keeps you plodding on when it really is time to call it quits. Hope drags you to sixteen auditions in a single day, when there's a nice job in your brother-in-law's tannery just waiting for you. Hope keeps you going in Old Stairs or Paradise, even though there's no money and nothing to eat and the landlord just took your chair and your chamber pot. Personally, I can see no great merit in simply being alive if you're miserable and in pain, but Hope won't let you go. She's a tease, like bad children teasing a dumb animal, and I've made a point of avoiding her whenever I can. Still, sometimes she runs you down and there's nowhere left for you to go. You can turn and fight her and lose, or let her scoop you up and turn your brain to mush.

Hope against hope. We had human chains shifting those blocks with levers and rollers, through the narrow alleys where carts couldn't go. We had shifts digging the ditch by lamplight, in the rain. And in every working party there was at least one man who cheerfully announced that it wasn't going to work, the whole idea was stupid, the enemy'll find a way round this in two shakes, just you see; and even he didn't really believe it, because of Hope. Hope turns a hundred men and women ripping the skin off their hands on a coarse hemp rope into a street party. Someone tells a joke, or clowns around, or starts singing a f ~ K.J. Parker
Charity Work quotes by K.J. Parker
Work hard. Hard work is the best investment a man can make. ~ Charles M. Schwab
Charity Work quotes by Charles M. Schwab
The superior man is not seeking fulfillment through work and woman, because he is already full. For him, work and intimacy are opportunities to give his gifts, and to be vanished in the bliss of giving. ~ David Deida
Charity Work quotes by David Deida
I can sort of do what I want. Maybe I have to work harder to prove myself in some new relationship because they've heard some wacky stories about me. But at least I can get the meeting. ~ Sean Parker
Charity Work quotes by Sean Parker
Throw away all ambition beyond that of doing the day's work well. The travelers on the road to success live in the present, heedless of taking thought for the morrow. Live neither in the past nor in the future, but let each day's work absorb your entire energies, and satisfy your wildest ambition. ~ William Osler
Charity Work quotes by William Osler
If you think you can do two full-time jobs, people will expect you to do three. ~ Andrea Mitchell
Charity Work quotes by Andrea Mitchell
Better the poorest of real faith at work than the best ideal of it left in the region of speculation. ~ Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Charity Work quotes by Charles Haddon Spurgeon
Any system of government will work when everything is going well. It's the system that functions in the pinches that survive ~ John F. Kennedy
Charity Work quotes by John F. Kennedy
Some people work hard to be something that they're not, and I don't work at all, I'm just me. And that can bother anybody I'm not working nearly as hard as the other guys, and they don't like it. ~ Nas
Charity Work quotes by Nas
Whether it's developers or industry veterans on the business side, top talent likes to work together. ~ Brendan Iribe
Charity Work quotes by Brendan Iribe
You should understand that private faith does not force public decisions. That's how you work at compromise. I haven't given up what I believe, but I live in community - in a city, state, nation, and world - with people who don't believe what I believe. That doesn't make them defective or inferior. ~ Jeremiah Wright
Charity Work quotes by Jeremiah Wright
My wife says that I become different once I start to work with animals. My movements become different, my mood is different. It involves letting everything fall behind you, becoming intuitive in your dealings with wild creatures in a way that bypasses reason. Sometimes it's more like a dance than anything else. ~ Frans Lanting
Charity Work quotes by Frans Lanting
It's my job, first and foremost, to take care of the football. Guys work their tails off. That's Football 101. From the time you play youth ball to high school, college, pro, every level, that's the starting point for every quarterback. You have to take care of the ball. ~ Scott Tolzien
Charity Work quotes by Scott Tolzien
When you put your heart and soul into your work, you cannot help but to make something beautiful. ~ Jay Ebben
Charity Work quotes by Jay Ebben
My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police. ~ Margaret Thatcher
Charity Work quotes by Margaret Thatcher
Enlightenment is part of everything and so our minds have to be very big to encompass all things, to understand all things - To see the tao in a grape, the act of sexuality, meditation, work, play, taking a shower, brushing your teeth, being sick and hurting. ~ Frederick Lenz
Charity Work quotes by Frederick Lenz
If you remain in your comfort zone, you will only remain a dreamer and one who merely wishes, but none of your dreams or wishes will be fulfilled. ~ Clement Ogedegbe
Charity Work quotes by Clement Ogedegbe
It is much simpler and easier to collect and caress the trophies of our democratic inheritance than it is to fashion up-to-date tools with which to work on our current problems. ~ Charles Ferguson
Charity Work quotes by Charles Ferguson
God is the Creator, is He not?" she had said with a smile. "So when we create, even if it is a mere length of lace and not the stars in the heavens, we honor Him. We bear His likeness when we work. ~ Jocelyn Green
Charity Work quotes by Jocelyn Green
My success was due to good luck, hard work, and support and advice from friends and mentors. But most importantly, it depended on me to keep trying after I had failed. ~ Mark Warner
Charity Work quotes by Mark Warner
It wants in and it's not going to stop until it gets in."
Vig walked over to Jace. She was still sitting by that tree, holding on to Kera's foster puppy. Vig had the feeling Kera would not be getting that puppy back . . . ever. But she would be helping to take care of it.
Vig crouched by Jace, smiled at her. "What's trying to get in, Jace?"
"An ancient power. A very old god that is very pissed off. And if we don't work together, and stop it . . . it'll lay waste to everything."
The silence that followed Jace's proclamation was brutal, but then she suddenly jumped up, startling them.
"Okay. 'Night, guys!" She waved and walked off with her new dog.
"She never speaks," Rolf said, "but when she does, she's absolutely horrifying."
"What do you dudes expect?" Stieg asked around a yawn, heading back to the main house. "She's a Crow. ~ Shelly Laurenston
Charity Work quotes by Shelly Laurenston
You could put me on a stage in front of 100 people, and I could do a tap dance, but one-on-one was really difficult for me. And it took me most of my life to learn how to work with that anxiety, to embrace and be comfortable with it. ~ Brie Larson
Charity Work quotes by Brie Larson
There is a mass of immigrants, a million of them without work. We will stop this invasion. ~ Antonis Samaras
Charity Work quotes by Antonis Samaras
Once you're directing, you're kind of in a certain mode, where you're taking whatever is on the page and forming it into the film that you think it might want to be. So whether it's my writing or not, I still try to work with it in the same way. ~ Gus Van Sant
Charity Work quotes by Gus Van Sant
It's always an honor to work with the Twins Community Fund and be a part of all the good that they do. They help people in so many ways. To be part of not only a baseball team, but being a part of something where you're helping people who need help, that's what life is all about really. ~ Ron Gardenhire
