Caring too much about someone can make you lose your own limits. ~ M.F. Moonzajer
Caring Too Much quotes by M.F. Moonzajer
Of all my failures to offset the mortification of wanting, expecting, or caring too much, the most humiliating was having no real answer for the love of a good man. It humbled me. ~ Michelle Orange
Caring Too Much quotes by Michelle Orange
Being a nerd, which is to say going too far and caring too much about a subject, is the best way to make friends I know. ~ Sarah Vowell
Caring Too Much quotes by Sarah Vowell
I never seem to have anything that if I lost it I'd care too much about. ~ J.D. Salinger
Caring Too Much quotes by J.D. Salinger
Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don't care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. ~ Alcee Hastings
Caring Too Much quotes by Alcee Hastings
We are taught to believe that having deep passions is foolish at best and dangerous at worst. We live in a cultural moment that is suspicious of ardent desires and strong commitments, propagating the idea that few things in life matter, that we have outlived ideals and ethical principles, and that comprehensive cultural change is impossible. Many of us have adopted the view that because we cannot remedy the enormous inequalities of the social world, we should not even bother to try. We have resigned ourselves to the idea that in the long haul nothing we do has any real impact and that caring too much is consequently a waste of our energies. By the same token, our (postmodern and sophisticated) recognition that meaning is inherently relative at times causes us to stop looking for meaning altogether. Though we are surrounded by a multitude of objects, artifacts, cultural icons, and shimmering images, few of these items manage to affect us on a deep level. In some ways, we are increasingly reconciled to the idea that the best we can do is to avoid the more crushing disillusionments of life–that the less we invest ourselves, the more inoculated we are against the misfortunes of the world. ~ Mari Ruti
Caring Too Much quotes by Mari Ruti
One thing my wife says is bad about me, is that I still care too much. ~ Aaron Spelling
Caring Too Much quotes by Aaron Spelling
Caring too much leads to heartbreak. Wanting something too much leads to despair. The Buddhists probably have it right, that the root of all suffering is desire, but I don't know how to stop feeling these things. They are feelings. You have to feel them. ~ Andra Brynn
Caring Too Much quotes by Andra Brynn
There's actually nothing wrong with caring too much. But I guess you want to do that for the right people, right? ~ Fasela Oosterwolde
Caring Too Much quotes by Fasela Oosterwolde
I don't really care too much about Valentine's Day ... I've never had a valentine or anything. I've always just spent it with my friends, so I don't really have much expectation for Valentine's Day. ~ Emma Roberts
Caring Too Much quotes by Emma Roberts
By not caring too much about what people think, I'm able to think for myself and propagate ideas which are very often unpopular. And I succeed. ~ Albert Ellis
Caring Too Much quotes by Albert Ellis
I didn't care too much for ballet, because you had to be more disciplined, and you sort of looked like everyone else. It required a certain kind of conformity that I didn't feel like I wanted to do. ~ Suzanne Farrell
Caring Too Much quotes by Suzanne Farrell
Being a nerd, which is to say going to far and caring too much about a subject, is the best way to make friends I know. For me, the spark that turns an acquaintance into a friend has usually been kindled by some shared enthusiasm like detective novels or Ulysses S. Grant. ~ Sarah Vowell
Caring Too Much quotes by Sarah Vowell
You don't need a reason to be upset. I think you've had a breakdown, Liam." Breakdown, relapse, binge, craving. A big fucking mess. Fucking walking disaster. But Ali lets me cry myself dry while ruining his shirt. When I finally stop, he asks, "Will you go to a detox? Sasha can ask his counsellor for an emergency placement. Perhaps we can persuade them you're a danger to yourself?" Hearing those words, I chuckle through my tears. "I know I'm a danger to myself." Ali smiles. "Yeah. And to me." "What do you mean?" I have to clean some of my snot with the bottom of my T-shirt. It doesn't matter anyway since the clothes I'm wearing are dirty and probably need to be fumigated. His grin broadens. "Well, I'm dangerously close to caring too much about you." I shake my head. Ali's a big softie but I can't think about romance right now ~ A. Zukowski
Caring Too Much quotes by A. Zukowski
Caring too much for objects can destroy you. Only - if you care for a thing enough, it takes on a life of its own, doesn't it? And isn't the whole point of things - beautiful things - that they connect you to some larger beauty? ~ Donna Tartt
Caring Too Much quotes by Donna Tartt
Caring too much could be dangerous; I saw that now. But the alternative was no better. ~ Ann Aguirre
Caring Too Much quotes by Ann Aguirre
We care too much about what happens to be there as a result of history. I worry even more that we care too much for the past and not enough for the present and the near present. ~ Nicholas Serota
Caring Too Much quotes by Nicholas Serota
Dear Lord, I struggle caring too much about the opinions of others. I beg You to please whisper words of truth into my heart and mind today. Protect me from both the bad and good opinions of others as I am reminded that only Your opinion counts. In Jesus' name. Amen. ~ Lysa TerKeurst
Caring Too Much quotes by Lysa TerKeurst

Caring Too Much quotes by Nassim Nicholas Taleb

You're caring too much about people, Alice," he says. "Take it from me: sane is mundane, insanity is the new black." I ~ Cameron Jace
Caring Too Much quotes by Cameron Jace
The question wasn't whether or not I cared about him; the question was, how much? I'm glad Tennyson didn't ask that, because then I'd have to ask myself; and I already knew the answer. I cared far more than was safe. ~ Neal Shusterman
Caring Too Much quotes by Neal Shusterman
That's the difference between governments and individuals. Governments don't care, individuals do. ~ Mark Twain
Caring Too Much quotes by Mark Twain
Caring too much is a one-way ticket to graveyards and good-byes. ~ Mary Elizabeth Summer
Caring Too Much quotes by Mary Elizabeth Summer
You will lose touch with people you thought you wouldn't, watch from a distance while these people get married, gain weight, lose weight, move across the country, and get new sets of friends you will never meet. But you will look at your pictures of them and remember the nights you drank too much rum with them and you will enjoy those moments immensely. You will know what it is like to experience true nostalgia - the feelings a Hot Pocket can elicit will be astounding. It will not be a bittersweet kind of thing, because you know that it's not as much growing apart as it is growing up.
There will be successes, and failures, and a lot of good and bad things. You will watch yourself and the people you choose to be with fall in love and get married, get jobs, get fired, get a terrible tattoo, have babies, get sick, get better, get worse, lose parents, grow older, grow smarter. Things will flash forward, pass before your eyes like the lights at a terrible nightclub. ~ Alida Nugent
Caring Too Much quotes by Alida Nugent
I'm actually equal parts cynicism and apathy. I'm always willing to believe the worst as long as it doesn't take too much effort. ~ Dennis Miller
Caring Too Much quotes by Dennis Miller
What is too much? There is no such thing! ~ Roberto Cavalli
Caring Too Much quotes by Roberto Cavalli
People tell you to keep your "courage" up. But the time for courage is when she was sick, when I took care of her and saw her suffering, her sadness, and when I had to conceal my tears. Constantly one had to make a decision, put on a mask and that was courage.

--Now, courage means the will to live and there's all too much of that. ~ Roland Barthes
Caring Too Much quotes by Roland Barthes
All errors are just ordinary, what extraordinary sin can you commit? All the sins have been committed already. You cannot find a new sin - it is very difficult, it is almost impossible to be original about sin. For millions of years people have committed everything that can be committed.
To be thrown in hell for your sins. Now this is too much! you can throw a man into hell for five years, ten years, twenty years, fifty years. If a man has lived for seventy years you can throw him there for seventy years.and that is if you only believe in one life. It is good that they believe in one life. ~ Osho
Caring Too Much quotes by Osho
The great medical facilities are a relief for the parents, too, who don't have to think about caring for their young ones on their own for a weekend. They have a great time. ~ Jami Gertz
Caring Too Much quotes by Jami Gertz
If you spend too much time learning the 'tricks' of the trade, you may not learn the trade. There are no shortcuts. If you're working on finding a short cut, the easy way, you're not working hard enough on the fundamentals. You may get away with it for a spell, but there is no substitute for the basics. And the first basic is good, old fashioned hard work. ~ John Wooden
Caring Too Much quotes by John Wooden
I'm too much a man for hysterics.
Liu, Marjorie M. (2009-01-20). Hunter Kiss: A Companion Novella to The Iron Hunt and Darkness Calls (A Hunter Kiss Novella) (Kindle Locations 355-356). Penguin Group US. Kindle Edition. ~ Marjorie M. Liu
Caring Too Much quotes by Marjorie M. Liu
I dislike The Exorcist, and I found it a warning sign of the dangers in a furious cinematic talent putting the audience through it (a Hitchcock phrase) without purpose, or without the nagging moral anxiety that activated Hitch. You see, I don't think William Friedkin believes in the Devil, or cares about him. I think he found exorcism a pretext for a gross-out and he calculated there was an audience for it, or a crowd ready to be challenged. Maybe I'm too much of an atheist to stand religion being so thrashed. ~ Edward Jay Epstein
Caring Too Much quotes by Edward Jay Epstein
Jane's stories are too sensible. Then Diana puts too much murders into hers. She says most of the time she doesn't know what to do with the people so she kills them off to get rid of them.
-Anne Shirley ~ L.M. Montgomery
Caring Too Much quotes by L.M. Montgomery
I remind myself that too much self-reflection can make even a toadstool fall into a deep slumber. ~ Susan Ornbratt
Caring Too Much quotes by Susan Ornbratt
My first job now is as a mother, everything else is secondary. My kids understand that I am an actress, and they are always so surprised to hear my voice on a cartoon character, or see my face on a video box. If it ever gets to be too much though, the career and the kids, I will simply set the career aside. ~ Joan Cusack
Caring Too Much quotes by Joan Cusack
I have spent too much of my life opening doors for cats - I once calculated that, since the dawn of civilization, nine hundred and seventy-eight man-centuries have been used up that way. I could show you figures. ~ Robert A. Heinlein
Caring Too Much quotes by Robert A. Heinlein
When you go through enough dark places, you don't complain about little things. You don't lose your joy because you got stuck in traffic; you don't get offended because a coworker was rude to you. You've been through too much to let that sour you. ~ Joel Osteen
Caring Too Much quotes by Joel Osteen
Avoid secret's! Be open about which you are. It takes too much energy to hide in the closet about any issue. ~ Susan Love
Caring Too Much quotes by Susan Love
The easiest way to write a book is to use the Table of Contents as an outline. People get stuck when they think in terms of writing a book. Do not let this delay you. There are a lot of book outline writing software's available today, but I personally believe they have the potential to cause more distraction then assistance.
The best possible outlines have come from pure "flow". I advise my clients to do a simple process of setting the timer for 2 minutes and just writing. I ask that they write everything that pops into their heads without thought or judgment on the subject. The questions I ask are: What is most important to you? What do you know a lot about? Tell me 12 things that fall under that subject that are valuable to know. Under each of the 12 things, give me 3 things that are a "must" in that category. Using index cards to write your answers on is a useful way to arrange chapters and sections of your book. Believe it or not, my students have come up with a Table of Contents/outline in less than 10 minutes using this method. Our greatest block is that we tend to over think things too much. We over analyze and what happens is that we get into analysis paralysis. Our creativity and 'flow' freezes up and all spontaneity and creativity just exits out of the thought process. When we stall the creative flow by trying to be correct, proper and appropriate, we end up talking ourselves out of what we intuitively know that we know and into a space of doubt, or what we th ~ Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
Caring Too Much quotes by Kytka Hilmar-Jezek
I listen to the sound of India's voices for the last time . Laughter ripples like water . A prayer is a single note held long . There is so much life here . And too much death.I feel a soft brezze caress my face and I look up. An orange ribbon is floating through the air . In India , it's easy to see the wind . ~ Cathy Ostlere
Caring Too Much quotes by Cathy Ostlere
As the Maestro is never loath to tell us, a human who suffers from too much ambition succeeds only in exemplifying the Creator's own lack of anticipation. The D.K., wishing His Vision to be innovative, had created the human will as an instinct all but free of Him. Once again, God had miscalculated. ~ Norman Mailer
Caring Too Much quotes by Norman Mailer
I always like teaser trailers because they don't give too much away, you know? They give just a flavor of what the thing is. ~ Oscar Isaac
Caring Too Much quotes by Oscar Isaac
Hey, God, did I do something to piss you off? Because I'm starting to think you enjoy twisting the knife in my heart every chance you get. If too much happiness dares to encroach on my life, does some siren go off up there? Uh-oh, Gray's too happy right now. We can't have that. Time to shit all over his life again. ~ Katie Kacvinsky
Caring Too Much quotes by Katie Kacvinsky
God is constantly talking to us but we can't hear him because we pay too much attention to the noise from the world. Genesis 12:22. ~ Felix Wantang
Caring Too Much quotes by Felix Wantang
I suppose if you take one part asshole and mix one part drugs, then stir in too much money for a man's own good, this is the kind of crazy gravy you end up with. ~ A. Violet End
Caring Too Much quotes by A. Violet End
When does money run out of time? The countdown begins when investable assets pose too much risk for too little return; when lenders desert credit markets for other alternatives such as cash or real assets. ~ Bill Gross
Caring Too Much quotes by Bill Gross
He insists he loves me too much to let me get involved in the war in any way … and I love him too much to obey. ~ Fonda Lee
Caring Too Much quotes by Fonda Lee
We teach girls to be likeable, to be nice, to be false. And we do not teach boys the same. This is dangerous. Many sexual predators have capitalized on this. Many girls remain silent when abused because they want to be nice. Many girls spend too much time trying to be "nice" to people who do them harm. Many girls think of the "feelings" of those who are hurting them. This is the catastrophic consequence of likeability. We have a world full of women who are unable to exhale fully because they have for so long been conditioned to fold themselves into shapes to make themselves likeable. So ~ Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
Caring Too Much quotes by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
There is not substantial data that AZT stops the transmission of HIV from mother to child. There is too much conflicting data to make concrete policy. ~ Manto Tshabalala-Msimang
Caring Too Much quotes by Manto Tshabalala-Msimang
Nice girl. Wears too much makeup."
"Most chicks hate her."
"Most chicks wish they looked like her. And they wish they had her money and boyfriend."
I stop and regard her in disgust. "Burro Face?"
"Oh, please, Alex. Colin Adams is cute, he's the captain of the football team and Fairfield's hero. You're like Danny Zuko in Grease. You smoke, you're in a gang, and you've dated the hottest bad girls around. Brittany is like Sandy ... a Sandy who'll never show up to school in a black leather jacket with a ciggie hangin' from her mouth. Give up the fantasy. ~ Simone Elkeles
Caring Too Much quotes by Simone Elkeles
Don't rely too much on labels, for too often they are fables ~ Charles Spurgeon
Caring Too Much quotes by Charles Spurgeon
The demons faded, and a smirk spread. "You're starting to sound like an assassin, my friend." "Perhaps I spend too much time around you. ~ Sarah J. Maas
Caring Too Much quotes by Sarah J. Maas
Do you think any of us know how to love?! Do you think anybody would ever do anything if they waited until they knew how to love?! Do you think that babies would ever get made or meals cooked or crops planed or books written or what God-damn-have-you? Do you think people would even get out of bed in the morning if they waited until they knew how to love? You have had too much therapy. Or not enough. God knows how to love, kiddo. The rest of us are only good actors.
Forget love. Try good manners. ~ Rebecca Wells
Caring Too Much quotes by Rebecca Wells
I've been keeping an eye out for the Charlie Brown Valentine's Day special. I know it will be on soon, and I never miss a Charlie Brown special. The best one is the Halloween show about the Great Pumpkin - which I've only missed one year in my life, due to the local ABC station having technical difficulties - but all the Peanuts shows make me feel like I'm one step closer to Halloween.

The thing I like about the shows isn't the characters - it's the background. The colors are so amazing it almost takes my breath away. Every time I watch The Great Pumpkin I feel like I'm going to have a seizure during the scenes where Snoopy is in a dogfight. Just look at the background in those scenes. It really is too much to take. I can barely keep from holding my head in my hands and involuntarily groaning like I have a mouthful of the best chocolate cake ever made. I look at them and can literally smell the crisp autumn air - even in this cell. No horror movie in the world makes me feel the magick of Halloween as strongly as The Great Pumpkin. ~ Damien Echols
Caring Too Much quotes by Damien Echols
I was thinking of Anna. I make myself think of her, I do it as an exercise. She is lodged in me like a knife and yet I am beginning to forget her. Already the image of her that I hold in my head is fraying, bits of pigments, flakes of gold leaf, are chipping off. Will the entire canvas be empty one day? I have come to realise how little I knew her, I mean how shallowly I knew her, how ineptly. I do not blame myself for this. Perhaps I should. Was I too lazy, too inattentive, too self-absorbed? Yes, all of those things, and yet I cannot think it is a matter of blame, this forgetting, this not-having-known. I fancy, rather, that I expected too much, in the way of knowing. I know so little of myself, how should I think to know another? ~ John Banville
Caring Too Much quotes by John Banville
Penalties put too much strain on one player. It could ruin his career if he's not a strong character. ~ Terry Venables
Caring Too Much quotes by Terry Venables
Whenever pastors assume people in their congregation know certain things, they miss opportunities to teach. If a pastor makes assumptions year after year, then a whole generation has never heard [that truth] for the first time. If we assume too much, we communicate too little. ~ Andy Stanley
Caring Too Much quotes by Andy Stanley
No more photos. Surely there are enough. No more shadows of myself thrown by light onto pieces of paper, onto squares of plastic. No more of my eyes, mouths, noses, moods, bad angles. No more yawns, teeth, wrinkles. I suffer from my own multiplicity. Two or three images would have been enough, or four, or five. That would have allowed for a firm idea: This is she. As it is, I'm watery, I ripple, from moment to moment I dissolve into my other selves. Turn the page: you, looking, are newly confused. You know me too well to know me. Or not too well: too much. ~ Margaret Atwood
Caring Too Much quotes by Margaret Atwood
The work of PME-ART is highly collaborative and is also very much about collaboration, about people working together, trying to negotiate what is meaningful to them, where and how they disagree, and how such agreements and disagreements might be evocatively conveyed. Collaboration is definitely not easy. As a teenager in Toronto I would see many one-person shows and think the reason there is only one person onstage has little to do with art and much to do with economics. I would see many shows where the people onstage felt like employees primarily doing what they had been told. Instead I wanted to see people onstage doing what they wanted to do, and felt that this wanting should include active, alive ways of working together.

However, looking back over the past twenty years, I also have to admit that I'm not completely sure collaboration is the place for me. It seems I am temperamentally ill-suited for it. Twenty years of doing something I'm ill-suited for and justifying it to myself through compelling artistic results. (This book is in many ways the story of this struggle.) Because though collaboration has never felt good, I still believe in it. Perhaps I believe in it even more because I find it so difficult. Perhaps I believe in it too much. We are all here on this planet, in our various societies and communities, and like it or not we must find ways to work together. The fact that it is often not easy makes it all that much more necessary.

I sometime ~ Jacob Wren
Caring Too Much quotes by Jacob Wren
Apparently I'm the only one who thinks this is the worst fucking idea since horses," Garrett says irritably.

"Horses?" Logan and Fitzy echo in unison.

"Like, horses in general?" Morris asks in confusion.

"As in, domesticating them," he grumbles. "They belong in the wild. End of story."

"Babe," Hannah hedges in, "are you just saying that because you're scared of horses?"

His jaw drops. "I'm not scared of horses."

She ignores the denial. "Oh my God, it's all coming together. That's why you wouldn't go to the Thanksgiving fair in Philly." She glances at the rest of us. "My aunt and uncle wanted to take us to this festival thing with all these cool booths and a petting zoo…and horseback riding. He said his stomach hurt."

Garrett visibly clenches his teeth. "My stomach did hurt. I ate too much fucking turkey, Wellsy. Anyway, I don't like this. ~ Elle Kennedy
