Whenever you hurt someone, you bring torment into your own life. ~ Debasish Mridha
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Debasish Mridha
I will miss myself in relation to others. The rareness. The exceptional differences. I will miss the gift that comes with hardship and paying the price. I will miss the tragedy of my own life. As I once spoke...emphatically, but I now repeat here, quietly - the pain, the pain is what made it so God damn beautiful. I endured. You can wait a lifetime for thirty seconds, five minutes, or for an hour to come into your life - a brief interval that makes all the suffering purposeful. In such moments of splendor and rapture - even if the rapture be stilled, the private hours and years of reckoning are unloaded, a burden lifted and the spirit feels as it did on the happiest day of its life when it was young and untormented Or rather, unconscious of the torment waiting to be ignited. ~ Wheston Chancellor Grove
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Wheston Chancellor Grove
For this reason, my dear Sir, the only advice I have is this: to go into yourself and to examine the depths from which your life springs; at its source you will find the answer to the question of whether you have to write. Accept this answer as it is, without seeking to interpret it. Perhaps it will turn out that you are called to be an artist. Then assume this fate and bear it, its burden and its greatness, without ever asking after the rewards that may come from outside. For he who creates must be a world of his own and find everything within himself and in the natural world that he has elected to follow. ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Rainer Maria Rilke
You might not see it now, but you are stronger than you can ever imagine.
You cannot become comfortable in your pain. You have to let the pain that you feel turn you into a rose without thorns. There are sixteen pieces on the chess board. The king is the most important piece, but the difference is that the queen is the most powerful piece!
You are a queen, you can maneuver around your opponents; they do not have the power over your life, your mind or soul. You might think you've been a prisoner, but that is your past' Look in the now and work your way to how you want your future to be. Exercise your thoughts into a pattern of letting go, and think positively about more of what you want than what you do not want.
Queen!
You are a queen! As a matter of fact, you are the queen! Act as if you know it!
You are powerful, determined, strong, and you can make the biggest and most extravagant move and put it into action.
Lights, camera, strike a pose and own it!
It is yours to own! ~ Charlena E. Jackson
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Charlena E. Jackson
Be hated. One does not have to be evil to be hated. In fact, it's often the case that one is hated precisely because one is trying to do right by one's own convictions. It is far too easy to be liked, one merely has to be accommodating and hold no strong convictions. Then one will gravitate towards the centre and settle into the average. That cannot be your role. There are a great many bad people in the world, and if you are not offending them, you must be bad yourself. ~ Adrian Tan

WHAT 28 FEELS LIKE

Every year of your 20s is subject to a very specific set of emotions, at least that's what I think. 21 is great for obvious, surface-level reasons. 22 is a train wreck if you graduated in four years, and are then thrust into real life. 25 is when pretty much everything changes – from your priorities to your body. And, then, there's 28. I don't know what it is about this age in particular, but I've deemed it "The Crisis Year" and here's why.

1. The realization that you're now officially in your "late 20s" is enough to send you straight into the climax of a full-blown panic attack. You don't even get to start at the beginning of the said attack, no. You wake up on your 28th birthday, screaming and dry heaving. It's an instinctual reaction to knowing that, for the next 365 days of your life, you will be teetering on the fine line between actual adulthood and clutching on desperately to your youth.

2. Because you're now in your late 20s, your parents start to treat you more like an GULP adult. Even if you've been paying your own way since forever, maybe you both secretly knew deep down that, in case of a huge emergency, asking them for help wasn't off-limits. But, when 28 hits, it's no longer an option.

3. You just feel old(er). There's something about the curvy lines of the number "8" that cast a darker and much more serious shadow over things. You'll still go out to popular nightlife establishments, but you will be ~ Joseph Ejiro
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Joseph Ejiro
Empty streets are a blessing for you because an empty street whips your thoughts and makes you question your life! He who wants to dive into his own depths, let him wander in the empty streets! ~ Mehmet Murat Ildan
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Mehmet Murat Ildan
If ... if I didn't try to get my life moving on my own account, I should think it just absurd to go on living.'
A look of smiling obstinacy had come into Marcelle's face.
'Yes, yes - it's your vice.'
'It's not a vice. It's how I'm made.'
'Why aren't other people made like that, if it isn't a vice?'
'They are, only they don't know it. ~ Jean-Paul Sartre
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Jean-Paul Sartre
Now all the myths that you have heard and that resonate with you, those are the elements from round about that you are building into a form in your life. The thing worth considering is how they relate to each other in your context, not how they relate to something out there-how they were relevant on the North American prairies or in the Asian jungles hundreds of years agon, but how they are relevant now-unless by contemplating their former meaning you can begin to amplify your own understanding of the role they play in your life. ~ Joseph Campbell
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Joseph Campbell
We've all led raucous lives, some of them inside, some of them out. But only the poem you leave behind is what's important. Everyone knows this. The voyage into the interior is all that matters, Whatever your ride. Sometimes I can't sit still for all the asininities I read. Give me the hummingbird, who has to eat sixty times His own weight a day just to stay alive. Now that's a life on the edge. ~ Charles Wright
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Charles Wright
When you realize your own magnificence, you will only attract magnificence into your life. ~ Anita Moorjani
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Anita Moorjani
Empathy is the ability to step outside of your own bubble and into the bubbles of other people. Empathy is the ability that allows us to be useful creatures on this planet; without empathy, we are a waste of oxygen in this world. Without empathy, we are lower than animals. Empathy is the ability that allows us the perception of things around us, outside of ourselves; so a person without empathy is a limited human being, someone who will only live half of a life. ~ C. JoyBell C.
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by C. JoyBell C.
Commitment is what transforms
a dream into reality.

One percent or ninety-nine percent complete are both incomplete.

Wanting is wishing or dreaming. Deciding is the willingness to do whatever it takes to make your wishes and dreams come true.

Pondering on what you are going to do actually sucks up more time and energy than going out there and doing it.

If you're planted in an environment with depleted soil loaded with weeds, your conditions must change in order for you grow and thrive.

As you change your circle of influence, your thinking changes, and ultimately your world changes too.

When you are too busy trying to outshine others, you miss out on your own inner spark.

If your focus is on competing with others, you cannot complete you.

Perfection is a myth, a misconception, and just an opinion.

A well-tailored business suit might look perfect to a banker, but deemed to be dreadful to a heavy metal rocker.

Going out of your comfort zone might be gut-wrenching, but dying with the music still inside is even more painful.

Stagnation drains your energy and slowly sucks the life out of you.

When you declutter your mental space, just like clearing out physical space, you find valuables you had long forgotten about.

Keeping emotional toxin in your head is like fertilizing unwanted weeds.

Positivity is your weed killer.
~ Megan Chan
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Megan Chan
It needs great art, learning to play with one's own life, to play on one's own life. Meditation is the art to create music from your heart. Meditation is simply the method to transform noise into harmony, the method to shift your consciousness from the head to the heart. The head is noisy, it is all noise - a tale told by an idiot, full of fury and noise, signifying nothing. ~ Rajneesh
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Rajneesh
You can do this (this thing, where your body will cease to produce hormones and your skin, hair, muscles and bones ... basically every part of you will notice, go into withdrawals, and stage a coup). Be prepared for this mentally, and you'll own this thing. ~ Lisa Jey Davis
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Lisa Jey Davis
It's hard to explain to someone who's never had the experience - the unmistakable, life-altering moment when you read a book and realize that someone out in the world has read your mind and put into words all the thoughts and ideas crashing around inside your own head. For me, it was like Don Swanstrom ~ Chuck Palahniuk
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Chuck Palahniuk
As a senior in high school, you figure out what you want to do with your life. I asked myself if I wanted to get back into acting and thought: 'Yes, but under my own terms and nothing like it was before.' ~ Macaulay Culkin
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Macaulay Culkin
The family we're born into is important, sure, but they're not all we have. They're not all we are. A part of life is making your own family. That's the beauty of it all." I smile softly. "Do you have a big family?" "I do," he says, "but most of us aren't blood related. ~ J.M. Darhower
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by J.M. Darhower
While end of the year is approaching you, let you start cleaning your heart & soul beginning from deterging your own dirty & filthy attitudes, behaviors, habits & meaningless lifestyle. Let you scrub out all the accumulated stains of your regrets, selfishness, annoyances & resentments from your soul. Let you wipe away all the leftover parts of the past that are unwanted & may restrict you from moving into the next year with confidence. Let you completely remove all the clutter from your schedule & your mind to create more space to focus on what is truly important. Let you do all you can to live at peace not only with your world but with yourself also & resolve all your conflicts quickly to lead a happy & blessed life. Stay Beautiful & Successful! ~ Rajesh Goyal
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Rajesh Goyal
If you are forced to confront your fears on a daily basis, they disintegrate, like illusions when viewed up close. Maybe being always protected made me more fearful, and I would later dip cautiously into the outside world, never allowing myself to be submerged completely, and always jerking back into the familiarity of my own life when my senses were overwhelmed. For years I would stand with a foot in each sphere, drawn to the exotic universe that lay on the other side of the portal, wrenched back by the warnings that sounded like alarm bells in my mind. ~ Deborah Feldman
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Deborah Feldman
These are the things I learned: share everything, play fair. Don't hit people. Put things back where you found them. Clean up your own mess. Don't take things that aren't yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you. Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw some and paint and sing and dance and play and work some every day. Take a nap every afternoon, and, when you go out into the world, watch for traffic, hold hands, and stick together. ~ Robert Fulghum
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Robert Fulghum
What is needed is this, and this alone: solitude, great inner loneliness. Going into oneself and not meeting anyone for hours – that is what one must arrive at. Loneliness of the kind one knew as a child, when the grown-ups went back and forth bound up in things which seemed grave and weighty because they looked so busy, and because one had no idea what they were up to.

And when one day you realise that their preoccupations are meagre, their professions barren and no longer connected to life, why not continue to look on them like a child, as if on something alien, drawing on the depths of your own world, on the expanse of your own solitude, which itself is work and achievement and a vocation? Why wish to exchange a child's wise incomprehension for rejection and contempt, when incomprehension is solitude, whereas rejection and contempt are ways of participating in what, by precisely these means, you want to sever yourself from? ~ Rainer Maria Rilke
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Rainer Maria Rilke
When you go into the psych ward, you can't have anything with you except colored pencils. You can't have any electronics. If you have a drawstring on your pants, a belt, shoelaces, a hood, or extra-long fabric, your very clothes are ripped off your back. They search you with a metal detector like you're a criminal, doing everything short of putting their hand up your butt. Before you go through those cold, automatic, barred doors, you know your life is not your own. This is especially true during the first week, while you stare at florescent lighting and wait impatiently for your meds to kick in. I wish I had remembered the psych ward prison cell a week ago. If I had, maybe I wouldn't be wearing this hospital gown that they gave me until I can get more compliant clothes. ~ Jacquelyn Nicole Davis
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Jacquelyn Nicole Davis
Ellie's head sinks into her hands, and she weeps for the unknown Boot, for Jennifer, for chances missed and a life wasted. She cries for herself, because nobody will ever love her like he loved Jennifer, and because she suspects that she is spoiling what might have been a perfectly good, if ordinary, life. She cries because she is drunk and in her flat and there are few advantages to living on your own except being able to sob uninhibitedly at will. ~ Jojo Moyes
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Jojo Moyes
But by the time you've worked long enough, hard enough, Real Life (which insists on being capitalized as if it were a personage with a proper name and a right to barge into this rental unit called your life) begins to reveal itself as something other than effort, other than accomplishment. Real Life wishes to be left to its own purposeless devices. ~ Patricia Hampl
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Patricia Hampl
Consider the death of the body in terms of God and His law. Your life, the life within you, encompasses everything within itself -- not only those whom you have lost but everything -- it includes God within itself. And if there is a God in your soul, then your soul is full, and there is no loss. And if there is a God, then there is love towards Him and towards people, towards those unfortunates who are in need of love.

If you believe that everything that has happened to us in our life has been for our own good, then that which happens to us in our death is also for our own good.

All of our misfortunes reveal to us the presence in us of the divine, of the immortal, of the self-sufficient which constitutes the foundation of our life. Death reveals to us fully our true Self. That which happens to man after his death we cannot and ought not to know. We could not live or do God's work if we knew it. If what awaits us after death were worse than what we meet with here on earth, we would prize this life even more than we do now, and there is no greater impediment to the fulfillment of God's will than concern for one's own life. If what awaits us after death were better than now, then we would scorn this life and make every effort to flee from it.

We do not know what awaits us after death, but we do know one thing without any doubt, namely, that the spiritual Being into which, according to Christian teachings, I have passed over is indissoluble, etern ~ Leo Tolstoy
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Leo Tolstoy
In your own mind-darkened, will-paralyzed, conscience-dulled soul, God can make the light penetrate and turn the darkness of your own life into day, if you will let Him. ~ Billy Graham
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Billy Graham
If you want to know yourself,
Just look how others do it;
If you want to understand others,
Look into your own heart.
What is life without the radiance of love? ~ Friedrich Schiller
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Friedrich Schiller
If I have loved anyone truly it is you. You are the completeness of my incompleteness. You walked into my life and made me fall in love with life. I who was a wanderer in search of true love found the ocean of love in you. You came into my life like the rain to a parched desert. You made me understand the sensitivity and tenderness present within my own heart. You made a melancholy poet like me find the elixir of love. Your tenderness and sensitivity has pervaded into the very pore of my being. Last night you made me inhale the fragrance of the moon. I love you. And I can't love anyone else after you! ~ Avijeet Das
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Avijeet Das
Then, one stupid person, no different from any other stupid person, wanders into your stupid life ... you give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. ~ Neil Gaiman
Bring Torment Into Your Own Life quotes by Neil Gaiman
The more you give yourself to others, the more joy and peace will flow into your own life. ~ Thomas Kinkade
