Bernice III was the first queen of Egypt to rule without a consort in over a millennium. Though her reign was brief, her example inspired her descendant Cleopatra to rule alone. ~ Kris Waldherr
Bernice Iii quotes by Kris Waldherr
Well, I happen to believe all business is female business. ~ Eddie Bernice Johnson
Bernice Iii quotes by Eddie Bernice Johnson
If you see an antimatter version of yourself running towards you, think twice before embracing. ~ J. Richard Gott III
Bernice Iii quotes by J. Richard Gott III
Sonnet III: Black Coffin opened wide for all to See

Black Coffin opened wide for all to See,
The lifeless form of one I loved so dear.
O, listen! mournful knells that soon shall be
All night long tolling for the folk to hear.
The lanterns overlight the old churchyard
To watch the coffin lowered into the ground;
Soon Frost shall grasp the turf already hard,
Decay ye have to face without a sound.
But years have pass'd herein do I relate
My dear sweet mother's form within my mind.
Still happiness fills all my heart and state,
As I see my small family so kind.
Love cannot be withheld by death or grave,
It stays alive within the heart so brave. ~ Timothy Salter
Bernice Iii quotes by Timothy Salter
First in war, first in peace, and first in the hearts of his countrymen, President George Washington was second to none in humble and enduring scenes of private life. Pious, just, humane, temperate, and sincere; uniform, dignified, and commanding; his example was edifying to all around him as were the effects of that example everlasting. ~ Henry Lee III
Bernice Iii quotes by Henry Lee III
If you are really standing up for the family, you then have to say, how do we change our school system, how do we fix tax policy so that our families are supported? ~ Otis Moss III
Bernice Iii quotes by Otis Moss III
Unfortunately, however, weapons of mass destruction tend to attract maniacs: men - it's almost always men - who want to jab the red button and yell "Take that, you heathen infidel bastards!" and sit in their revolving chairs in underground lead-lined bunkers or caves, watching on their monitors World War III or the Final Jihad or whatever. ~ Mal Peet
Bernice Iii quotes by Mal Peet
We are all afraid of something. But that shouldn't stop us from going on every day. We should not always walk in fear of the shadow while we are in the light. It is certain we will not know when or how the difficult and bad times will come, but if we accept that they will come, then they are easier to face when they do. And always remember that anything that causes the shadow is smaller than the source of light. ~ Joseph M. Marshall III
Bernice Iii quotes by Joseph M. Marshall III
We're not opposed to Catholics having pride in their church, but that doesn't mean that every church that doesn't join them isn't a church. ~ Pope Shenouda III
Bernice Iii quotes by Pope Shenouda III
Francis Underwood was entirely based on Richard III. When Michael Dobbs wrote 'House of Cards' in the original British series, Richard III is what he based the character on. ~ Kevin Spacey
Bernice Iii quotes by Kevin Spacey
Tyranny flourishes in those societies that reject the Reformed Faith. Tyranny is squelched and liberty flourishes in those societies that embrace the Reformed Faith in all its fullness. ~ Joseph C. Morecraft III
Bernice Iii quotes by Joseph C. Morecraft III
The seal of Reason, made impregnable:
_ The seal of Truth, immeasurably splendid:
The seal of Brotherhood, man's miracle:
_ The seal of Peace, and Wisdom heaven-descended:
The seal of Bitterness, cast down to Hell:
_ The seal of Love, secure, not-to-be-rended:
The seventh seal, Equality: that, broken,
God sets His thunder and earthquake for a token. ~ Aleister Crowley
Bernice Iii quotes by Aleister Crowley
The Lord is much like the air around us. The air is all around us, it is everywhere. Even though we can't see it, it is there, we know it is there, because we are breathing. The Lord is everywhere too, you can't see Him, but He is there, we know He is there, because we are breathing. (Page 183) ~ Raymond D. Reifinger III
Bernice Iii quotes by Raymond D. Reifinger III
Calm can solve all issues. ~ Pope Shenouda III
Bernice Iii quotes by Pope Shenouda III
I think everybody thinks they're an amazing singer, but I'm one of those guys who realizes where his limitations are, and it's definitely with singing and dancing. ~ Clay Matthews III
Bernice Iii quotes by Clay Matthews III
Tom Regan's now classic Case for Animal Rights blends careful argument with intense moral concern. For two decades, where Regan has been taken seriously, animals have been better off and people have become better persons. This new edition is a welcome sign of this influence continuing. ~ Holmes Rolston III
Bernice Iii quotes by Holmes Rolston III
You don't have to go out there and fit the mold of what a quarterback is supposed to be. Make your own mold and do the best at each role. If you can run with the best and throw with the best, you can be the best quarterback in your own version of the position. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
I'm always asked if the songs that I write are therapeutic, and my answer is a quick no. In fact, it could be argued that they exacerbate my neurosis. ~ Loudon Wainwright III
Bernice Iii quotes by Loudon Wainwright III
If we are to be honest with ourselves, we must admit that the "Negro" has been inviting whites, as well as civil society's junior partners, to the dance of social death for hundreds of years, but few have wanted to learn the steps. They have been, and remain today - even in the most anti-racist movements, like the prison abolition movement - invested elsewhere. This is not to say that all oppositional political desire today is pro-white, but it is usually anti-Black, meaning it will not dance with death. ~ Frank B. Wilderson III
Bernice Iii quotes by Frank B. Wilderson III
The only reason you get drafted or even looked at by the NFL is because they believe you can play at the next level ... if they believe I can do that, you know I believe I can do it. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
If you say you're going to do something, you do it. If you start it, you finish it. Yes sir, no ma'am. And you've got to have that kind of structure in your life. It kind of helped me be that disciplined person that I am, whether it's with workouts, film or just the game of football. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
Religion is common to the human race. Stripped of accidental characteristics, and reduced to its essential form, it consists of five notitae, communes, or innate ideas, which spring from the natural instinct.

The common notions are:
(i) There is a God.
(ii) He ought to be worshipped.
(iii) Virtue and piety are essential to worship.
(iv) Man ought to repent of his sins.
(v) There are rewards and punishments in a future
life.

It is unnecessary and unreasonable to admit any articles of religion other than those. The dogmas of the Churches, reputed to embody divine revelations, are the work of priests, who have endeavoured to establish their own influence for their own advantage by shrouding these five ideas in obscurely worded creeds. ~ Herbert Of Cherbury
Bernice Iii quotes by Herbert Of Cherbury
I am from the class that has, in a sense, benefited from the status quo, but everyone still gets victimized. ~ Benigno Aquino III
Bernice Iii quotes by Benigno Aquino III
Usually when you have a sequel, the character always stays the same and that's true basically of 'Rocky III,' 'IV' and 'V.' He didn't really change. ~ Irwin Winkler
Bernice Iii quotes by Irwin Winkler
Last time I checked I was able to throw the ball a little bit. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
If you don't put 99 percent of yourself into the writing, there will be no publishing career. There's the writer and there's the author. The author - you don't ever think about the author. Just think about the writer. So my advice would be, find a way to not care - easier said than done. Accept that the world may never notice this thing you worked so hard at. And instead, do it for it, find a job, find a way of living that gives you an hour or two or three a day to do it, and then work your ass off sending out, trying to get out there, but do not put the pressure on the work to do something for you. Because then you're going to be writing dishonestly and for the market instead of for the characters and your story. ~ Andre Dubus III
Bernice Iii quotes by Andre Dubus III
Weakness and strength are necessary for balance. No one or nothing is only weak or only strong. But some of us overlook our weaknesses, and even deny that we have them. That can be dangerous, because denying there is a weakness is in itself a weakness. Likewise, accepting that we have weaknesses becomes a strength. And by the same token, overestimating strength is a weakness. You should not be blinded by your strengths. The feeling of strength is not the same as having strength. Neither should you ignore your weaknesses. Know them well, too. ~ Joseph M. Marshall III
Bernice Iii quotes by Joseph M. Marshall III
A lot of people have already labeled me the Savior. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
If there was a simple formula for success and it was easy to follow, everyone would be doing it. ~ Edward Johnson, III
Bernice Iii quotes by Edward Johnson, III
Let's look at this rationally ... We've got a doctor who may kill him, an Attorney General who wants to declare him bananas, and a Defense Secretary who wants me to start World War III ... First, we ruled out starting World War III. We were down to killing the President or having him carted off by the men in white coats ... ~ Christopher Buckley
Bernice Iii quotes by Christopher Buckley
And therefore, - since I cannot prove a lover,
To entertain these fair well-spoken days,
I am determined to prove a villain,
And hate the idle pleasures of these days. ~ William Shakespeare
Bernice Iii quotes by William Shakespeare
Sometimes silences are pregnant and sometimes not. It is hard to know what to make of the silence of much of the New Testament about the Lord's Supper. Perhaps it is simply an accident of time and circumstance. There was not a felt need to address the matter. What we should not likely conclude is that it was not seen as an important matter in the latter part of the first century A.D. What we can observe is that the Lord's Supper continued to be an in-home ceremony taken in the context of a fellowship meal. We also now know it was important in both Gentile and Jewish contexts in the church in the second half of the first century, and beyond. We see no evidence anywhere in this material that clerics of any kind are in charge of the meal and its distribution. Even in the Didache, prophets, who were mouthpieces for God, are only allowed to say the thanksgiving prayer as often as they like. The low ecclesiology, coupled with the ever-present eschatology, suggest that the Didache does indeed go back to the end of the first century A.D. But one precedent in the Didache does stand out: the Lord's Supper is for baptized Christians, and in particular for those who repent of their sins. We are on the way to the church of the Middle Ages in some respects, but we have not begun to localize or confine grace to the elements of the Lord's Supper itself and then have it controlled by clerics. ~ Ben Witherington III
Bernice Iii quotes by Ben Witherington III
Not one foot will I fly, so long as breath bides within my breast; for, by Him that shaped both sea and land, this day shall end my battles or my life. I will die King of England. ~ Richard III Of England
Bernice Iii quotes by Richard III Of England
You flunked out of Being a Human 101 but aced Assholery III? The sarcastic sneer on her lovely lips was sexy as fuck and I couldn't help laughing at the witty comeback. ~ Raine Miller
Bernice Iii quotes by Raine Miller
I don't picture myself as a normal person when I play football, and I don't think anyone else pictures me that way as well. ~ Robert Griffin III
Bernice Iii quotes by Robert Griffin III
According to the Theory of War, which teaches that the best way to avoid the inconvenience of war is to pursue it away from your own country, it is more sensible for us to fight our notorious enemy in his own realm, with the joint power of our allies, than it is to wait for him at our own doors. King Edward III (1339) ~ Ian Mortimer
Bernice Iii quotes by Ian Mortimer
"World War III, was the Cold War, and the U.S. won it". ~ Norman Podhoretz
Bernice Iii quotes by Norman Podhoretz

Bernice Iii quotes by Bernice L. McFadden
Congress is a Mafia running a protection racket.. ~ John P. Wheeler III
Bernice Iii quotes by John P. Wheeler III
Lee believed in the value of emulation, of learning from great men. As a soldier, he was a student of Napoleon. As an American, his hero was George Washington. And if we find Lee's perfection daunting, we should remember that Lee himself attempted - as indeed every sincere Christian attempts - 'the imitation of Christ. ~ H.W. Crocker III
Bernice Iii quotes by H.W. Crocker III

Every gesture of my body and my voice to make myself into the offering,
the bouquet that is abandoned by
the wind on the porch.

The night of us both scattered with the fog. It's the season of cold foods.

Inside, the wind. Everything closed and the wind inside.

But the silence is true. That's why I write. I'm alone and I write. No, I'm not alone.
There's somebody here shivering.

Not all the water in the rough rude sea
Can wash the balm from an anointed King; ~ William Shakespeare
Bernice Iii quotes by William Shakespeare
This [Magna Carta] has been forced from the King. It constitutes an insult to the Holy See, a serious weakening of the royal power, a disgrace to the English nation, a danger to all Christendom, since this civil war obstructs the crusade. Therefore?we condemn the charter and forbid the King to keep it, or the barons and their supporters to make him do so, on pain of excommunication. ~ Pope Innocent III
Bernice Iii quotes by Pope Innocent III
This was the first time a woman in Dallas had won public office of any kind - even women questioned whether or not I was qualified, whether or not I could take it. ~ Eddie Bernice Johnson
