Create art out of heartbreaks; it's the fastest way to heal. Make enough to build a small museum of your beautiful tragedies, and show the world how unbreakable you are. ~ Brooke Shaden
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Brooke Shaden
And it took cutting back the prettiest parts of myself to finally realize that this shell does not define me. For I am so much more than flesh and bone that case the beautiful tragedies of my heart and mind. ~ Becca Lee
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Becca Lee
Some bridges are so beautiful that we wish them to be our own home! ~ Mehmet Murat Ildan
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Mehmet Murat Ildan
I'm a very lucky man. It's a beautiful thing for a writer, to see people allowing your words to enter their own unconscious and their souls. ~ Wallace Shawn
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Wallace Shawn
A chasm opened in the earth and out of it coal-black horses sprang, drawing a chariot and driven by one who had a look of dark splendor, majestic and beautiful and terrible. He caught her to him and held her close. The next moment she was being borne away from the radiance of earth in springtime to the world of the dead by the king who rules it. ~ Edith Hamilton
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Edith Hamilton
You see, King, we have a legend - I used to believe that it was all fairy-tale rubbish and empty smoke. It is a legend about how such things as war and death and despair were common in our country at one time. These terrible words, which we have long since stopped using in our language, can be read in collections of our old tales, and they sound awful to us and even a little ridiculous. Today I've learned that these tales are all true ... But now tell me, don't you have in your soul a sort of intimation that you're not doing the right thing? Don't you have a yearning for bright, serene gods, for sensible and cheerful leaders and mentors? Don't you ever dream in your sleep about another, more beautiful life where nobody is envious of others, where reason and order prevails, where people treat other people only with cheerfulness and considerations? ~ Hermann Hesse
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Hermann Hesse
It is godlike ever to think on something beautiful and on something new. ~ Democritus
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Democritus
How beautiful the yesterday that stood
Over me like a rainbow! I am alone,
The past is past. I see the future stretch
All dark and barren as a rainy sea. ~ Alexander Smith
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Alexander Smith
A soul cannot survive or meet its destiny until it has been shattered.
If blessed, the soul of the surviving will become Shattered Into Beautiful" - Mel Ballew ~ Mel Ballew
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Mel Ballew
An art aims, above all, at producing something beautiful which affects not our feelings but the organ of pure contemplation, our imagination. ~ Eduard Hanslick
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Eduard Hanslick
All my Calvaries were rosy crucifixions, pseudo-tragedies to keep the fires of hell burning brightly for the real sinners who are in danger of being forgotten. ~ Henry Miller
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Henry Miller
When we see one another in heaven, we will have beautiful bodies that will far surpass the beauty of our bodies on this earth. ~ Paul P. Enns
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Paul P. Enns
I might call him. A thing divine, for nothing natural. I ever saw so noble. ~ William Shakespeare
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by William Shakespeare
Clark had always been fond of beautiful objects, and in his present state of mind, all objects were beautiful. He stood by the case and found himself moved by every object he saw there, by the human enterprise each object had required. Consider the snow globe. Consider the mind that invented those miniature storms, the factory worker who turned sheets of plastic into white flakes of snow, the hand that drew the plan for the miniature Severn City with its church steeple and city hall, the as**sembly-line worker who watched the globe glide past on a conveyer belt somewhere in China. Consider the white gloves on the hands of the woman who inserted the snow globes into boxes, to be packed into larger boxes, crates, shipping containers. Consider the card games played belowdecks in the evenings on the ship carrying the containers across the ocean, a hand stubbing out a cigarette in an overflowing ashtray, a haze of blue smoke in dim light, the cadences of a half dozen languages united by common profanities, the sailors' dreams of land and women, these men for whom the ocean was a gray-line horizon to be traversed in ships the size of overturned skyscrapers. Consider the signature on the shipping manifest when the ship reached port, a signature unlike any other on earth, the coffee cup in the hand of the driver delivering boxes to the distribution center, the secret hopes of the UPS man carrying boxes of snow globes from there to the Severn City Airport. Clark shook the globe and he ~ Emily St. John Mandel
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Emily St. John Mandel
Thank you to Italy. That is a crazy country but beautiful. ~ Paolo Sorrentino
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Paolo Sorrentino
Being passionate about something is the most beautiful characteristic you can develop. ~ Charlotte Eriksson
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Charlotte Eriksson
Seeing you like this tonight makes me think of how much I want to marry you. Me in a tux, and you in a gorgeous dress with the hair and makeup and sparkles and heels. A beautiful reception where we share our first dance as husband and wife. And afterward, the seal between us will become permanent under God. Our wedding night will be the best night of my existence. It was foolish of me to assign it so quickly, but you make me do foolish things. ~ Ashlan Thomas
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Ashlan Thomas
Life is a beautiful adventure. ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
I read her thoughts and I found the poetry inside of her, beneath the misfortune of warts and pockmarked skin, of hunched shoulders and deformed limbs. I loved her. Indeed she became, whole and entire, quite beautiful to me - . And she came to love me with her whole heart. ~ Anne Rice
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Anne Rice
We lead a difficult life, not always managing to fit our actions to the vision we have of the world. (And when I think I have caught a glimpse of the color of my fate, it flees from my gaze.) We struggle and suffer to reconquer our solitude. But a day comes when the earth has its simple and primitive smile. Then, it is as if the struggles and life within us were rubbed out. Millions of eyes have looked at this landscape, and for me it is like the first smile of the world. It takes me out of myself, in the deepest meaning of the expression. It assures me that nothing matters except my love, and that even this love has no value for me unless it remains innocent and free. It denies me a personality, and deprives my suffering of its echo. The world is beautiful, and this is everything. The great truth which it patiently teaches me is that neither the mind nor even the heart has any importance. And that the stone warmed by the stone or the cypress tree swelling against the empty sky set a boundary to the only world in which "to be right" has any meaning: nature without men. This world reduces me to nothing. It carries me to the very end. Without anger, it denies that I exist. And, agreeing to my defeat, I move toward a wisdom where everything has already been conquered -- except that tears come into my eyes, and this great sob of poetry which swells my heart makes me forget the truth of the world. ~ Albert Camus
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Albert Camus
Early in my career, I was really spoiled with a beautiful project. I got such a good start that I thought, 'Why would I ever take a step back?' Why would I take on something that wasn't meaningful - to me, if nobody else - and powerful and groundbreaking? ~ America Ferrera
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by America Ferrera
London is actually a beautiful place when the weather's good; the mood is lighter and everybody's smiling. But for the other 350 days a year, it's miserable. You're standing there waiting for the bus in the rain or you're waiting for a train on a platform and it's freezing. Always a persistent drizzle - or if it's not drizzling, it's overcast and cold. ~ Craig Taylor
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Craig Taylor
A strange jet-lag numbness filled my head. I couldn't separate the boundary between what was real and what only seemed real. Here I was, on a small Greek island, sharing a meal with a beautiful older woman I'd met only the day before. This woman loved Sumire. But couldn't feel any sexual desire for her. Sumire loved this woman and desired her. I loved Sumire and felt sexual desire for her. Sumire liked me but didn't love me, and didn't feel any desire for me. I felt sexual desire for a woman who will remain anonymous. But I didn't love her. It was all so complicated, like something out of an existential play. ~ Haruki Murakami
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Haruki Murakami
Part 2
Etienne: I cheated on her every day. In my mind, I thought of you in ways I shouldn't have, again and again. She was nothing compared to you. I've never felt this way about anybody before…

Anna: But…

Etienne: The first day of school. We weren't physics partners by accident. I saw Professeur Wakefield assigning lab parnters based on where people were sitting, so I leaned forward to borrow a pencil form you at just the right moment so he'dt think we were next to each other. Anna, I wanted to be your partner the first day.

Anna: But …

Etienne: I bought you love poetry! „I love you as certain dark things are loved, secretly, between the shadow and the soul." Neruda. I starred the pasasge. God. Why didn't you open it?

Anna: Because you said it was for school

Etienne: I said you were beautiful. I slept in your bed!

Anna: You never made a move! You had a girlfriend!

Etienne: No matter what a terrible boyfriend I was, I wouldn't actually cheat on her.
But I thought you'd know. With me being there, I thought you'd know.

Anna: How could I know if you never said anything?

Etienne: How could I know if you never said anything?

Anna: You had Ellie!

Etienne: You had Toph! And Dave! Anna. I'm sorry for what happened in Luxembourg Gardens. Not because of the kiss – I've never had a kiss like that in my life – but because I didn't tell you why I ~ Stephanie Perkins
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Stephanie Perkins
There's something I have learned from what I've lived:
lf you're to live something, live it to its fullest
Your beloved should fall exhausted from your kisses
You should fall exhausted from smelling a flower

One can watch the sky for hours
Can for hours watch the sea, a bird, a child
To live on earth is to mingle with it
Growing roots that cannot be eradicated

When you hug a friend you should hug him vigorously
You should fight with all your muscles, body, passion
And once you stretch out on the hot sand
You should rest like a grain of sand, a leaf, a stone

One should listen to all the beautiful music on earth
So as to fill all his being with sounds and songs
One should dive into life as if
Diving from a rock into an emerald sea

Distant lands should lure you, people you do not know
You should burn with desire to read all the books, to know all the lives
You should not exchange for anything the pleasure of drinking a glass of water
All the joys should fill you with the yearning to live

And you should live grief also, with honor, with all your being
For grief also, like joy, matures a person
Your blood should mingle with the great circulation of life
In your veins must circulate the eternal fresh blood of life

There is something I have learned from what I've lived:
If you're to live, live big, as if you ~ Ataol Behramoğlu
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Ataol Behramoğlu
I end up watching this movie about some girl who's supposed to be so smart and edgy and unpopular. She wears glasses, that's how you know she's so smart. And she's the only one that has dark hair in the school- a place that looks like Planet Blond.

Anyway, she somehow ends up going to the prom- hello, gag- and she doesn't wear her glasses, so suddenly she's all beautiful. And she's bashful and shy because she doesn't feel comfortable wearing a dress. But then the guy says something like, "Wow, I never knew you were so pretty," and she feels on top of the world.

So, basically, the whole point is she's pretty. Oh, and smart, too. But what's really important here is that she's pretty.

For a second I think about Katie. About her thin little Clarissa Le Fey.

It must be a pain being fat. There are NO fat people on Planet Blond.

I don't get it. I mean, even movies where the actress is smart- like they seem like they'd be smart in real life, they're all gorgeous. And they usually get a boyfriend somewhere in the story. Even if they say they don't want one. They always, always end up falling in love, and you're supposed to be like, "Oh, good."

I once said this to my mom, and she laughed. "Honey, Hollywood... reality- two different universes. Don't make yourself crazy."

Which made me feel pretty pathetic. Like I didn't know the difference between a movie and the real world.

But then when eve ~ Mariah Fredericks
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Mariah Fredericks
As a child I experienced loss for what I felt was withheld from me: the delicious milk, the mountains of flowers I could not roll in, the cousins I could not play with, a beautiful house on a plateau. As the years grew with me, I became aware of absences that impacted me directly and indirectly: the loss of place, of stories, of family and of citizenship. ~ Tsering Wangmo Dhompa
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Tsering Wangmo Dhompa
The day you realise what small, incremental progress can achieve over a period of time, you would agree that SMALL is actually BIG, very BIG !!

If you increase your daily productivity by just 1%, you end up doing 37.7 times more work by the end of the year - yes 37.7 times.

1 x 1 x 1.....365 times = 1
1.01 x 1.01 x 1.01 ...... 365 times = 37.7

Same way, Financial Freedom Planning is just the beginning.

But only those who continue to go through the grind, track their financial freedom journey month on month - for years together, manifest the true power of SMALL ! ~ Manoj Arora
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Manoj Arora
Every girl is beautiful. ~ Chachi Gonzales
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Chachi Gonzales
Let the dream go. Are there not other dreams
In vastness of clouds hid from thy sight
That yet shall gild with beautiful gold gleams,
And shoot the shadows through and through with light?
What matters one lost vision of the night?
Let the dream go! ... ~ Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Ella Wheeler Wilcox
You are so appealing, Miss Foster, every bit as beautiful as your sister - more so, to me - that I almost lost my head. I want nothing more than to let this romantic current sweep us along. ~ Julie Klassen
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Julie Klassen
Who was this girl alone so late at night
in search of a faded cassette illusion to disembowel the clocks of time's intrusion? Those eyes belonged to the most beautiful maniac I've ever met. Our love is a vine of entrails that can follow any coffin anywhere, no matter how deep any gravedigger might travel. ~ Nicholaus Patnaude
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Nicholaus Patnaude
The most beautiful soul is the soul in love! ~ Lailah Gifty Akita
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Lailah Gifty Akita
Once
There was a quiet island,
With a name.
You must believe me
When I say that sunlight,
Impure but beautiful,
Broke upon the bay, silvered
The unrepentant, burning moon. ~ Edwin Thumboo
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by Edwin Thumboo
The world is a crazy, beautiful, ugly complicated place, and it keeps moving on from crisis to strangeness to beauty to weirdness to tragedy. The caravan keeps moving on, and the job of the longform writer or filmmaker or radio broadcaster is to stop - is to pause - and when the caravan goes away, that's when this stuff comes. ~ David Remnick
Beautiful Tragedies quotes by David Remnick
As Michel de Montaigne observed, "The least strained and most natural ways of the soul are the most beautiful; the best occupations are the least forced."
