Instead, though, as he drew nearer, his mind kept drifting back to Gansey's voice in the cave the day before. The tremulous note in it. The fear - a fear so profound that Gansey could not bring himself to climb out of the pit, though there was nothing physically preventing him.
He had not known that Richard Gansey III had it in him to be a coward.
Adam remembered crouching on the kitchen floor of his parents' double-wide, telling himself to take Gansey's oft-repeated advice to leave. "Just put what you need in the car, Adam."
But he had stayed. Hung in the pit of his father's anger. A coward, too.
Adam felt like he needed to reconfigure every conversation he'd ever had with Gansey in light of this new knowledge. ~ Maggie Stiefvater, Blue Lily, Lily Blue
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater, Blue Lily, Lily Blue
I've been thinking a lot about Adam Parrish and his band of merry men," Mr. Gray admitted. "And this dangerous world they tread."
"That's a strange way of putting it. I would have said Richard Gansey and his band of merry men."
He inclined his head as if he could see her point of view as well, even if he didn't share it. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
What happened to your face?" Blue asked.
Adam shrugged ruefully. Either he or Ronan smelled like a parking garage. His voice was self-deprecating. "Do you think it makes me look tougher?"
What it did was make him look more fragile and dirty, somehow, like a teacup unearthed from the soil, but Blue didn't say that.
Ronan said, "It makes you look like a loser."
"Ronan," said Gansey.
"I need everyone to sit down!" shouted Maura. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
You're asking me to define an abstract concept that no one has managed to explain since time began. You sort of sprang it on me," Gansey said. "Why do we breathe air? Because we love air? Because we don't want to suffocate. Why do we eat? Because we don't want to starve. How do I know I love her? Because I can sleep after I talk to her. Why? ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
If you combined these two things – the unfathomable and the practical – you were most of the way to understanding Adam Parrish. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
From the passenger seat, Ronan began to swear at Adam. It was a long, involved swear, using every forbidden word possible, often in compound-word form. As Adam stared at his lap, penitent, he mused that there was something musical about Ronan when he swore, a careful and loving precision to the way he fit the words together, a black-painted poetry. It was far less hateful sounding than when he didn't swear.
Ronan finished with, "For the love of ... Parrish, take some care, this is not your mother's 1971 Honda Civic."
Adam lifted his head and said, "They didn't start making the Civic until '73. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Above him, the stars were brutal and clear. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Gansey thought of one hundred things that he could say to Adam about how it would be all right, how it was for the best, how Adam Parrish had been his own man before he'd met Gansey and there was no way he'd stop being his own man just by changing the roof over his head, how some days Gansey wished that he could be him, because Adam was so very real and true in a way that Gansey couldn't ever seem to be. But Gansey's words had somehow become unwitting weapons, and he didn't trust himself to not accidentally discharge them again. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam retreated to sit beside Mary as Ronan stretched out on the pew, rubbing out the dingy plan with the legs of his jeans. Something about his stillness on the pew and the funereal quality of the light reminded Adam of the effigy of Glendower they'd seen at the tomb. A king, sleeping. Adam couldn't imagine, though, the strange, wild kingdom that Ronan might rule.
"Stop watching me," Ronan said, though his eyes were closed. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam didn't need his father to go to jail. He had merely needed someone outside the situation to look at it and confirm that yes, a crime had been committed. Adam had not invented it, spurred it, deserved it. It said so on the court paperwork. Robert Parrish, guilty. Adam Parrish, free. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
I don't have a brother, ma'am," Adam replied. But Blue saw his eyes dart to Gansey. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam had seen many of Ronan's dreams made real by now, and he knew how savage and lovely and terrifying and whimsical they could be. But this girl was the most Ronan of any of them that he's seen. What a frightened monster she was. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
The two-minute disparity prematurely aged Adam Parrish. He liked it when people knew how to do their jobs.
"Say something," Gansey said.
"That bell."
"Everything is terrible," agreed Gansey. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Gansey hurried on. "Let me introduce you. These are my friends: Ronan, Adam Parrish, and Jane."
...
"Blue," Blue corrected.
"Oh, yes, you are blue," Malory agreed. "How perceptive you are. Was was the name? Jane? This is the lady I spoke to on the phone all those months ago, right? How small she is. Are you done growing?"
"What!" Blue said.

Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
You're like me. We're not really like the others. [ ... ] We're really better in our own company, Persephone said. It makes it hard sometimes, for others, when they can't understand us. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
They were always coming together in surprising moments, going from easygoing to urgent in the space of a few breaths. She watched them kiss messily in the car in the driveway and she watched them tangle around each other in the laundry room and she watched Adam unbuckle Ronan's belt and slide his hand against skin. With intellectual curiosity, she watched ribs and hips and arms and legs and spines. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Light, or something like light, reflected off it onto Ronan's chin and cheeks, rendering him stark and handsome and terrifying and someone else. Then he blew on it. His breath passed through the word, the mirror, the unwritten line.
Adam heard a whisper in his ear. Something moved and stirred inside him. Ronan's eyelashes fluttered darkly.
What are we doing - ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
It shouldn't have happened at all, but their friendship had been cemented in only the time it took to get to school that morning - Adam demonstrating how to fasten the Camaro's ground wire more securely, Gansey lifting Adam's bike halfway into the trunk so they could ride to school together, Adam confessing he worked at a mechanic's to put himself through Aglionby, and Gansey turning to the passenger seat and asking, What do you know about Welsh kings? ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
There's such thing as an emotional cost," Adam said. "Investing in someone else's survival isn't free, and some people's emotional banks are already overdrawn. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam finally sat down on one of the pews. Laying his cheek against the smooth back of it, he looked at Ronan. Strangely enough, Ronan belonged here, too, just as he had at the Barns. This noisy, lush religion had created him just as much as his father's world of dreams; it seemed impossible for all of Ronan to exist in one person. Adam was beginning to realize that he hadn't known Ronan at all. Or rather, he had known part of him and assumed it was all of him.
The scent of Cabeswater, all trees after rain, drifted past Adam, and he realized that while he'd been looking at Ronan, Ronan had been looking at him. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
What an impossible and miraculous and hideous thing this was. An ugly plan hatched by an ugly boy now dreamt into ugly life. From dream to reality. How appropiate it was that Ronan, left to his own devices, manifested beautiful cars and beautiful birds and tenderhearted brothers, while Adam, when given the power, manifested a filthy string of perverse murders. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
His feelings for Adam were an oil spill; he'd let them overflow and now there wasn't a damn place in the ocean that wouldn't catch fire if he dropped a match. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish – magician and puzzle, student and logician, man and boy. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
There is no good word for the opposite of lonesome.
One might be tempted to suggest togetherness or contentment , but the fact that these two other words bear definitions unrelated to each other perfectly displays why lonesome cannot be properly mirrored. It does not mean solitude, nor alone, nor lonely, although lonesome can contain all of those words in itself.
Lonesome means a state of being apart. Of being other. Alone-some. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Let me introduce you. These are my friends: Ronan, Adam Parrish, and Jane."
Adam's expression focused. Became Adam-like. He blinked over to Gansey.
"Blue," Blue corrected.
"Oh, yes, you are blue," Malory agreed. "How perceptive you are. What was the name? Jane? This is the lady I spoke to on the phone all those months ago, right? How small she is. Are you done growing?"
"What!" Blue said. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
It was hidden in things Adam already knew, half-glimpsed behind a forest made of thoughts. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam smiled cheerily. Ronan would start wars and burn cities for that true smile, elastic and amiable. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
In the story, there'd been a magical salmon who would confer happiness on the person who ate it. Or perhaps it was wisdom, not happiness. In any case, the old man had been too lazy or busy or on a business trip to spend the time to trying to catch the salmon, and so he had set the boy on catching it for him. When the boy caught it, he was to cook it and bring it to the old man. The boy did as he was told, since he was just as clever as the old wizard, but as he'd cooked up the salmon, he'd burned himself. Before he thought about it, he put his burned finger in his mouth and thus got the salmon's magic for himself.
Ronan felt that he had caught the happiness without meaning to.
He could do anything. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Ronan hadn't known anything about who Adam was then and, if possible, he'd known even less about who he himself was, but as they drove away from the boy with the bicycle, this was how it had begun: Ronan leaning back against his seat and closing his eyes and sending up a simple, inexplicable, desperate prayer to God: Please. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
His fatigued brain slid out from under him. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish was lonesome.
There is no good word for the opposite of lonesome. One might be tempted to suggest togetherness or contentment, but the fact that these two other words bear definitions unrelated to each other perfectly displays why lonesome cannot be properly mirrored. It does not mean solitude, nor alone, nor lonely, although lonesome can contain all of those words in itself.
Lonesome means a state of being apart. Of being other. Alone-some.
Adam was not always alone, but he was always lonesome. Even in a group, he was slowly perfecting the skill of holding himself separate. It was easier than one might expect; the others allowed him to do it. He knew he was different since aligning himself more tightly with the ley line this summer. He was himself, but more powerful. Himself, but less human.
If he were them, he would silently watch him draw away, too.
It was better this way. He had not fought with anyone for so long. He had not been angry for weeks. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Ronan pointed at the cart. "Get in there."
"What?"
He just continued pointing.
Adam said, "Give me a break. This is a public parking lot."
"Don't make this ugly, Parrish."
As an old lady headed past them, Adam sighed and climbed into the basket of the shopping cart. He drew his knees up so that he would fit. He was full of the knowledge that this was probably going to end with scabs.
Ronan gripped the handle with the skittish concentration of a motorcycle racer and eyed the line between them and the BMW parked on the far side of the lot. "What do you think the grade is on this parking lot?"
"C plus, maybe a B. Oh. I don't know. Ten degrees?" Adam held the sides of the cart and then thought better of it. He held himself instead.
With a savage smile, Ronan shoved the cart off the curb and belted towards the BMW. As they picked up speed, Ronan called out a joyful and awful swear and then jumped on to the back of the cart himself. As they hurtled towards the BMW, Adam realised that Ronan, as usual, had no intention of stopping before something bad happened. He cupped a hand over his nose just as they glanced off the side of the BMW. The unseated cart wobbled once, twice, and then tipped catastrophically on to its side. It kept skidding, the boys skidding along with it.
The three of them came to a stop.
"Oh, God," Adam said, touching the road burn on his elbow. It wasn't that bad, really. "God, God. I can feel my teeth."
~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Making Ronan Lynch smile felt as charged as making a bargain with Cabeswater. These were not forces to play with. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam twisted off the lid. Inside was a colorless lotion that smelled of mist and moss. Replacing the lid with a frown, he turned the container over, looking for more identifying features. On the bottom, Ronan's handwriting labeled it merely: manibus. For your hands. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Inside, they pretended they would dream, but they did not. They sprawled on the living room sofa and Adam studied the tattoo that covered Ronan's back: all the sharp edges that hooked wondrously and fearfully into each other.
'Unguibus et rostro,' Adam said.
Ronan put Adam's fingers to his mouth.
He was never sleeping again. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Unlike Ronan, Adam's Aglionby jumper was second-hand, but he'd taken great care to be certain it was impeccable. He was slim and tall, with dusty hair unevenly cropped above a fine-boned, tanned face. He was a sepia photograph. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Tamquam,' said Adam.
'Wait,' said Ronan.
'Tamquam,' he said again, gently.
'Alter idem,' Ronan said, and found himself alone. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish and the Crying Club. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
This is Adam Parrish," Gansey said. "Shake his hand. He's more clever than I am. One day we'll be throwing one of these shindigs for him. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
The plants had not saved their lives. Adam Parrish had saved their lives. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
And what else would he get into? Kavinsky's dead so--Jesus Chrirst, listen to me. Jesus Christ." The cave walls crumbled yet more; the ritual before had been imperfect. Gansey sat back against the wall and closed his eyes. Adam watched him swallow. Again he heard Gansey's voice in the cave. "It's okay," Adam said. He did not care that Joseph Kavinsky was dead, but he liked that Gansey did. "I know what you meant. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
He had had his own feelings hurt over and over by Adam, even when Adam had meant no harm. Some of the worst fractures had appeared because Adam hadn't realized the he was causing them. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
It was nothing, but it was Adam Parrish's nothing. How he hated and loved it. How proud he was of it, how wretched it was. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam had once told Gansey, Rags to riches isn't a story anyone wants to hear until after it's done. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Images barraged him. Connections darted electric. Veins. Roots. Forked lightning. Tributaries. Branches. Vines snaked around trees, herds of animals, drops of water running together.

I don't understand.

Fingers twined together. Shoulder leaned on shoulder. Fist bumping fist. Hand dragging Adam up from the dirt.

Cabeswater rifled madly through Adam's own memories and flashed them through his mind. It hurled images of Gansey, Ronan, Noah, and Blue so fast that Adam couldn't keep up with all of them.

Then the grid of lightning blasted across the world, an illuminated grid of energy.

Adam still did not understand, and then he did.

There was more than one Cabeswater. Or more of whatever it was. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
If he went in by himself, it was nothing but this: Adam Parrish.
In a way, it had always been that. Sometimes the scenery changed. Sometimes the weather was better.
But in the end, all he had was this: Adam Parrish. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Right,' he said. 'So it stands to reason there's something about the line that fortifies or protects a corpse. The soul. The ... animus. The quiddity of it.'
'Gansey, seriously,' Adam interrupted, to Blue's relief. 'Nobody knows what quiddity is.'
'The whatness, Adam. Whatever it is that makes a person who they are. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam pronounced love very carefully, as if it were an unfamiliar element on the periodic table. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
I know you are not the same as him, Adam said. But in my head, everything is always so tangled. I am such a damaged thing. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
I guess now would be a good time to tell you," He said. "I took Chainsaw out of my dreams. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Do you think you're a train wreck?"
"That would mean I was on the tracks to start with. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
But what [Gansey] said was, "I'm going to need everyone to be straight with each other from now on. No more games. This isn't just for Blue, either. All of us."
Ronan said, "I'm always straight."
Adam replied, "Oh, man, that's the biggest lie you've ever told."
Blue said, "Okay. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Being Adam Parrish was a complicated thing, a wonder of muscles and organs, synapses and nerves. He was a miracle of moving parts, a study in survival. The most important thing to Adam Parrish, though, had always been free will, the ability to be his own master.
This was the important thing.
It had always been the important thing.
This was what it was to be Adam. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Adam didn't look at him when he said, finally, It doesn't matter how you say it. It's what you wanted, in the end. All your things in one place, all under your roof. Everything you own right where you can see ... ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
How arrogant we are, Adam thought, to deliver babies who can't walk or talk or feed themselves. How sure we are that nothing will destroy them before they can take care of themselves. How fragile they were, how easily abandoned and neglected and beaten and hated. Prey animals were born afraid. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
Some people envied Ronan's money. Adam envied his time. To be as rich as Ronan was to be able to go to school and do nothing else, to have luxurious swathes of time in which to study and write papers and sleep. Adam wouldn't admit it to anyone, least of all Gansey, but he was tired. He was tired of squeezing homework in between his part-time jobs, of squeezing in sleep, squeezing in the hunt for Glendower. The jobs felt like so much wasted time: In five years, no one would care if he'd worked at a trailer factory. They'd only care if he'd graduated from Aglionby with perfect grades, or if he'd found Glendower, or if he was still alive. And Ronan didn't have to worry about any of that. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
As they moved through the old barn, Adam felt Ronan's eyes glance off him and away, his disinterest practiced but incomplete. Adam wondered if anyone else noticed. Part of him wished they did and immediately felt bad, because it was vanity, really:
See, Adam Parrish is wantable, worthy of a crush, not just by anyone, someone like Ronan, who could want Gansey or anyone else and chose Adam for his hungry eyes. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater
History, well read, is simply humility well told, in many manners. ~ Adam Gopnik
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Gopnik
When I was a kid, I read comics. But when I saw how funny it was, and how wonderfully absurd, I said, "You know, I gotta do this." ~ Adam West
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam West
I have been in teen shows for years, so doing that stuff - kissing - is kind of commonplace and not a big deal. It was way more cool just because it was Meg Ryan. ~ Adam Brody
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Brody
Ale for a tale. That's the fairest trade I know. ~ Adam Gidwitz
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Gidwitz
smack smack honey smacks its the snack that will smack you back ~ Adam West
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam West
Something clicks in my brain. My heart instantly plummets to the bottom of my stomach, and I feel my face start to flush with new color.
I pull my head back and look up to meet his unparalleled eyes.
"Adam. ~ Gretchen Powell
Adam Parrish quotes by Gretchen Powell
Allah, the Exalted, gave the angels intellect without desires, He gave the animals desires without intellect, and He gave both to the sons of Adam. So a man whose intellect prevails over his desires is better than the angels, whilst a man whose desire prevails over his intellect is worse than the animals. ~ Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Adam Parrish quotes by Ali Ibn Abi Talib
Do I really have moves like Jagger? F**king A, no, I don't. But I was going to tell everybody that I did and hoped they believed me. ~ Adam Levine
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Levine
Ganseys were creatures of habit, and he wanted Adam here, and he wanted Noah here, and he wanted everyone to like him, and he wanted to be in charge. ~ Maggie Stiefvater
Adam Parrish quotes by Maggie Stiefvater

Adam Parrish quotes by Dan Pagis
Stubble or what?"
Eyes still closed he chuckled. "I'm not shaving until our parents let us date again."
He kissed my cheek.
"What if it takes ... a ... while?"
I asked struggling to talk. He'd made his way down to my neck. His tongue circled there slowly.
"There are only six or seven weeks until August football practice starts right?"
"Hm." His mouth moved up my neck toward my ear. Oh.
"Will you be able to stuff your beard into your helmet?" I croaked.
In answer he put his lips on my ear.
I forgot the next joke I'd planned to make and lost myself in Adam. ~ Jennifer Echols
Adam Parrish quotes by Jennifer Echols
I find that your basic Internet chat board is way too vitriolic for my taste. ~ Adam Savage
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Savage
The words contained in it were inspired by the Holy Spirit into the minds of faithful men, called Prophets and Seers in the Old Testament; and Evangelists and Apostles in the New. ~ Adam Clarke
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Clarke
For in that perfect garden when one day entered sin,
An animal was murdered for garments made of skin.
When figs of human effort produced religious strife,
The Father tailored clothing for Adam and his wife. ~ Joyce Rachelle
Adam Parrish quotes by Joyce Rachelle
Sitting in a studio with Oli [Sykes], or going back and forth with Adam [Young] on his tracks, it's so much more fun than something really structured and put together. ~ Lights
Adam Parrish quotes by Lights
And Rex seems interested. He doesn't seem to think I'm a total geek or a pretentious asshole. Or maybe he just feels sorry for the idiotic city boy who got himself marooned in Northern Michigan, almost killed a dog, and is currently drunk in a stranger's sweatpants in a cabin made of plaid and flannel. ~ Roan Parrish
Adam Parrish quotes by Roan Parrish
Why would a vampire create a younger vampire if there was a possibility the young one might end up destroying the old one?'
Stephin stared. 'If you can explain to me how this is different from parenting in general I might know how to answer that. ~ Adam Rex
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Rex
If you stand with one foot in the past and the other foot in the future, Matt, all you do is piss on the present. ~ P.J. Parrish
Adam Parrish quotes by P.J. Parrish
That was excellent! I mean, it didn't do anything, but it looked really cool! ~ Adam Savage
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Savage
What men always seem to ignore is that until Eve arrived, Adam didn't even have his own apartment. He'd never tasted beer, and there was no place to get a decent hamburger. He slept in the dirt, and was so oblivious he didn't even realize he was naked. Even worse, he didn't seem to notice that Eve was naked, either. ~ Bruce Cameron
Adam Parrish quotes by Bruce Cameron
First and foremost when you're doing comedy, you gotta be relevant and applicable to the times that you're living in. When you try and just do comedy about who is dating who and lifestyle jokes, it gets tiring after a while. It's hard to be funny in that realm. ~ Adam McKay
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam McKay
The one thing that cannot be outsourced is creativity. We have to find ways to support creative people because the only way we are going to improve our laws ... is by creating our way out of it. ~ Adam Leipzig
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Leipzig
The coffee will help with post-resurrection synapse realignment. Trust me. ~ Adam Christopher
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Christopher
In ease of body and peace of mind, all the different ranks of life are nearly upon the same level, and the beggar who suns himself by the highway, possesses that security which kings are fighting for. ~ Adam Smith
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Smith
With Fountains of Wayne, after 'Stacy's Mom' happened, we started making a little bit more money and getting a little bit more known. ~ Adam Schlesinger
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Schlesinger
God gave a choice to Adam and Eve to eat the fruit which caused death and pain to all mankind. How is that different than allowing a choice regarding abortion? A person may make the choice to end one life but god allowed a choice that impacts every man, woman and child that has ever been and ever will be. If we strive to follow the image of god how can we outlaw choices and deny the same rights, freedoms and choices that god allowed? We shouldn't determine the choices of others. ~ C. L. Ferguson
Adam Parrish quotes by C. L. Ferguson
Interesting things always come from being really exhausted and really sick. ~ Adam Driver
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Driver
The prudent man always studies seriously and earnestly to understand whatever he professes to understand, and not merely to persuade other people that he understands it; and though his talents may not always be very brilliant, they are always perfectly genuine. He neither endeavours to impose upon you by the cunning devices of an artful impostor, nor by the arrogant airs of an assuming pedant, nor by the confident assertions of a superficial and imprudent pretender. He is not ostentatious even of the abilities which he really possesses. His conversation is simple and modest, and he is averse to all the quackish arts by which other people so frequently thrust themselves into public notice and reputation. ~ Adam Smith
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Smith
My biggest problem with President Bush is when we were in kindergarten together, he broke my favorite red crayon! Since that moment, my psychiatrist told me that I haven't been able to move forward as a person. Severely hindering the chances of me being able to mature any since that tragic day. For that, I'll never forgive him. ~ Carolyn Parrish
Adam Parrish quotes by Carolyn Parrish
If you imagine your friend is recommending you content on a topic they're an expert on, they can do a really good job of that. They know what you're interested in, they know your personality, they know if you have a scientific type of mind-set or not. ~ Adam D'Angelo
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam D'Angelo
O CHILDREN OF ADAM! Holy words and pure and goodly deeds ascend unto the heaven of celestial glory. Strive that your deeds may be cleansed from the dust of self and hypocrisy and find favor at the court of glory; for ere long the assayers of mankind shall, in the holy presence of the Adored One, accept naught but absolute virtue and deeds of stainless purity. This is the daystar of wisdom and of divine mystery that hath shone above the horizon of the divine will. Blessed are they that turn thereunto. ~ Bahaullah
Adam Parrish quotes by Bahaullah
I'm like a sight gag. ~ Adam Driver
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Driver
Of their passions in the same object at that particular time. ~ Adam Smith
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Smith
A day in heaven,' Adam whispered. What would that be like? To wake up one morning and be normal? To not bite down and parcel out each second of each day. To not wrestle and negotiate with your obsessions. To not have thoughts that ran you into the ground.
To have a quit mind.
A quiet mind.
Quiet. ~ Teresa Toten
Adam Parrish quotes by Teresa Toten
The purpose of the new Adam is it undo the work of the fall, restore man as covenant keeper, make of man again a faithful citizen of the Kingdom of God, and enable man again to fulfill his calling to subdue the earth under God and to restore all things to God's law and dominion. Those who submit to this calling and dominion inherit the earth. ~ R J Rushdooney
Adam Parrish quotes by R J Rushdooney
The cool thing is, when we first did our joint Ring Of Honour-New Japanies Wrestlers, I think that definitely existed. I think the ROH guys were like, "we can't let these New Japan guys outshine us" the new japan guys were ready to make a statement as it was this really big event in America. But the cool thing about this relationship is we've literally become a family now. A lot of us are friends with each. We obviously respect each other. ~ Adam Cole
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Cole
How do I speak Spanish? Not too well. ~ Adam Sandler
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Sandler
Addictive tech is part of the mainstream in a way that addictive substances never will be. ~ Adam Alter
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Alter
The task of the Church, I suggest, is not to determine which is the theory of the atonement, or which theory of the atonement has pride of place among others. Rather, following Thomas (who stands clearly in line with the majority position of the history of theology), we ought to witness to the fittingness of the atonement: to demonstrate how the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ brings together a wide array of benefits for the sake of the reconciliation of all things to God, that we might have as full an understanding as possible of the work God accomplished in Christ. ~ Adam J. Johnson
Adam Parrish quotes by Adam J. Johnson
Against the monster, I've always wanted meaning. Not for its own sake, because in the usual course of things, who needs the self-consciousness of it? Let meaning be immanent, noted in passing, if at all. But that won't do when the monster has its funnel driven into the back of your head and is sucking the light coming through your eyes straight out of you into the mouth of oblivion. So like a cripple I long for what others don't notice they have: ordinary meaning. Instead, I have words. The monster doesn't take words. It may take speech, but not words in the head, which are its minions. The army of the tiny, invisible dead wielding their tiny, spinning scythes, cutting at the flesh of the mind. Unlike ordinary blades, they sharpen with use. They're keenest in repetition. Self-accusation being nothing if not repetitive. There is nothing deep about this. It is merely endless. ~ Adam Haslett

Adam Parrish quotes by Adam Smith

It's not that I agree with either views expressed in the books, but I believe ideas and thoughts of older generations can offer food for thought for the current generation. ~ Wen Jiabao
