You are what you do not what you want to do. My life is based on my actions, not my thoughts or plans. In the past, I would tell myself that I wanted to write and, truthfully, I never made time for it. Now, I do write, every day, and I can proudly say that I have made time to do what I want. If you truly want to be doing something, you will find the time to do so.
Think about it: What do you really want to be doing? Why aren't you doing that thing?
I used to never make time to write because I thought I would enjoy browsing Reddit and watching Netflix more than I would enjoy writing. Those activities that give instant gratification won't make you happier in the long run. Every time I see a piece of my writing I feel so satisfied and proud of myself, every single time. If I see the same meme multiple times, I don't feel anything. I don't feel guilty or like this is the wrong thing for me to be doing when I write. I am no longer a watcher, I am a creator. I am a writer.

Do not discredit any emotion simply because it is unfavorable. There is a reason for sadness, anger, and fear. Do not act to remove an entire emotion from your life just because it hurts you sometimes. Sadness allows you to recover, to brainstorm for the future, to let you see the true beauty of happiness. Anger keeps us from getting hurt, fuels our passion, and instigates self-change. Fear protects us, motivates action, and guides us in havocked times.
Our vocabulary of emotions is there for a reason. We need balance. We need happy times and sad times. The good and the bad. Instead of fighting within yourself, release, calm, and examine your emotions. If you are feeling an undesirable emotion, investigate the cause and find a solution. Use your negative emotions to encourage a time for change. Work with yourself, not against.

We are here to create our dreams. We are here to make our life so beautifully true to ourselves that it can never be replicated, a stunning masterpiece added to the world.

Stop spending your energy on thoughts you don't want and things you don't need. Spend your energy on the thoughts, people, things and dreams you do want. You only have so much energy in the day; spend it wisely.

Why is there never enough time to pursue my dreams? Yet, I have time to browse memes, laugh at cats doing silly things, and stare off into the distance. My dream is to do what I love and yet I still don't pursue that dream. When we fear failure we allow ourselves to fail every day by not pursuing our dreams.

You aren't waiting for someone to give you permission to live; you're waiting to get permission from yourself. It's okay to live the life you want.

It may be hard and you may struggle, but in the end, you can have the pride in saying you tried your hardest to get what you wanted and let nothing stand in your way.

To become the best possible you, you must not only work on improving yourself but on improving others as well. You learn to help yourself when you learn how others need help. We are all just human and are more similar to each other than we might admit. Never stop being yourself. When you start faking who you are, you start lying to yourself. You can lie about who you are to the people around you, and they may even believe you, but when you lie to yourself something will always feel wrong. You can't fake who you are forever and eventually, you will wear yourself down. This doesn't mean that you must remain the way you are forever. You can change yourself with time and practice. You will feel the difference between true change and fake change. True change requires work. That work is worth it.
